Ameriki forces in any form or for any reason, based out of India will have repercussions, both internally and externally, forcibily dragging India into situations where she has no skin in the game and yet have many izl@mi( interests targeting us.Anoop wrote:Hi Niranjan, the CPEC will stand or fall depending on its own weight of contradictions and Pakistani incompetence. India opposed Chinese presence in PoK. It is only appropriate for China to now counter, thus weakening the Indian argument for CPEC.
Absolutely. And not just for India. There is no use for the Americans either. This is why I look askance at such insider tid-bits doing the rounds; it defies basic common sense. A surveillance station, perhaps. And that would be the Chinese nightmare.I just do not see any value of American SF in India.
Overflight yes but actual physical presence on Indian soil, no.
even during the gelf war, there was a huge hue and cry in India for allowing ameriki aircraft to refuel in bombay.
The govt reacted by cleverly banning such refueling in bombay. Instead, they did something which no one realized was just as beneficial to the amerikis, they quietly allowed ameriki overflights through India, and the amerikis refueled in colombo.
The amerikis were very happy to refuel at colombo because that airport is much better organized and more efficiently managed than bombay is (even today)
If overflights via India had not been allowed, the amerikis would have had to trade fuel for cargo, fly the longer route around India, and as a consequence, their cargo carrying capacity per flight would have drastically reduced, increasing their costs as well as mandating a quantum jump in the number of cargo flights required to keep their supply chains going.
India not joining the CPEC is the kiss of death for this important section. The pakis alone will not be able to carry it, no matter how much of a squeeze xi puts on them. The baluchis cannot be managed so easily.
the reason given "it being constructed on Indian territory" was just to make it palatable.
xi thought that he would drain (Indian) resources as he has done in all other countries, as well as, use Indian ports, rail, road networks to push his domination agenda.
India, beediland, myanmar route would have been far easier for xi to manage and that also would have been the original plan. the paki CPEC route would have been the military option for xi, building a huge naval base and oil terminal at gwadar
If it had been anyone else other than Modi (much stronger now, with his 303), the cheeni would have long bribed their way into the Indian hinterland, again as they have done in all countries.
it's my guess that the regime change agenda being run in India has (among other interested players), also a lot of hidden cheeni resources smoothing the khalistani and miya way to funding the "farmer's protests" and xi's ladakh gambit is the other jaw of the pincer
