Comparison pics of F35 and Su-57 assembly lines. Yes the number of airframes is a big difference. But what's the actual advanced manufacturing visible ?

While one mocks the Russians and Chinese., accidents (preventable) happen even with the most advanced military power

Northrop Grumman live stream for unveiling of B-21 Raider.
from the first few seconds of unveiling, looks like a B-2 with compressed and stealthier intakes and engine housing. Will not be supersonic, but the strength is supposed to lie in better subsystems, especially for network warfare, MUMT, and the like

F-16 crash in March this year. Both instructor and pilot breached regulations intercepting a non-participating civilian aircraft and the pilot ejected at the first sign of trouble. The plane probably could have been saved.

Re: US military, technology, arms, tactics
The US state has never had it this good. Once they realised post 2008 financial crisis that they can print $$$ unabatedly and the world will suck up dollars, money has ceased to be a constraint. And US will only increase reckless keeda behaviour as long as this bubble lasts. Imagine Qatar 100x.
Thats why abandoning billions of equipment in Afg didn't matter, financing Ukraine state and the war doesnt matter, bankrolling regime changes does not matter, financing militias anywhere in the world doesnt matter, cost of stimulus plans to prop up industry and stock markets doesn't matter, price of energy doesnt matter...
When this bubble will burst is hard to say, but the Ukraine war will provide the pinprick as Russia gains.
I'm going to get out of US & EU stocks when the market gets up a bit, which it will by spring as the printing machine pumps out more money and it once again floods the markets. I dont have any MIC stock, just a few tech stocks.

Modernizing the Precision Guidance Kit
Precision Guidance Kit (PGK):
Modernizing the Precision Guidance Kit
Precision Guidance Kit (PGK):
Precision Guidance Kit – Extended Range
Now, the Precision Guidance Kit – Extended Range (PGK-ER) provides the accuracy and reliability of the original capability updated for the battlefield of the future.
“Maintaining the form factor of our current PGK, we’ve updated and added technologies to perform in a GPS-degraded environment,” added Gruber.
PGK-ER is designed for the current inventory of artillery rounds and cannons to ensure value and affordability, but it can be adapted to other artillery rounds to extend mission and increase customer’s purchasing power. For example, it will be compatible with the higher muzzle velocity of the new 58 caliber cannon the U.S. Army is developing as well as the legacy 39 caliber cannon.
“We continue to look to the future and increasing capabilities for long range precision fires. By using PGK and now PGK-ER, you can make every round count,” said Gruber.
Re: US military, technology, arms, tactics
General Dynamics Land Systems has posted a few vids. Three of them:
Transformational technology. The Abrams X is a main battle tank for the next generation, featuring reduced weight for improved mobility and transportability and delivering the same tactical range as the M1A2 Abrams with 50% less fuel consumption. The AbramsX’s hybrid power pack supports the U.S. Army’s climate and electrification strategies, enhances silent watch capability and even allows for some silent mobility. With a reduced crew size and AI-enabled lethality, survivability, mobility, manned/unmanned teaming (MUM-T) and autonomous capabilities, AbramsX can be a key node in lethal battlefield networks and serve as a bridge from Abrams SEPv3 and SEPv4 to a future tank.
Supporting the Army’s climate and electrification strategies, the StrykerX technology demonstrator brings to the Stryker family of vehicles capabilities such as silent movement, silent watch, exportable electric power and reduced fuel consumption via a hybrid diesel-electric power pack. StrykerX features a side-by-side crew compartment and more space for the infantry squad. Soldiers inside StrykerX are protected by an integrated Active Protection System and advanced electronic architecture with cyber defense. StrykerX’s array of sensors provide its occupants 360-degree situational awareness and see-through armor capability {made in India by Tonbo too}.
The Stryker Leonidas technology demonstrator adds counter-electronics capabilities to the Stryker family of vehicles via Epirus’ Leonidas high-power microwave array. Stryker Leonidas’ unlimited magazine depth for counter-electronics missions – counter-UAS among them – adds a key level to layered, mobile short-range air defense (M-SHORAD) for armed forces. Stryker Leonidas features on-board and networked target acquisition and the mobility to accompany all maneuver formations. The system successfully defeated individual targets and swarms of drones during a recent field demonstration.

Chinese spy balloon shot down off the coast of South Carolina.
Re: US military, technology, arms, tactics
^^^ About time
Re: US military, technology, arms, tactics
There is a lot more to this story.
Apparently, the balloon passed Japan, traversed over the Aleutian Islands, skirted Alaska, entered Canada, and entered US air space from Canada.
The story has to be much bigger than the one being told to us.

Re: US military, technology, arms, tactics
According to DoD there were THREE flights of balloons during the previous admin. So, the question is why was this given so much publicity? How many would have noticed something flying at 60k feet? Even if they have noticed, how many would have identified it? Did they use a missile without a warhead (like they did to kill Ayman al Zawahiri) so that they can recover it?
Re: US military, technology, arms, tactics
Another Masa weapon system F-22 is not battle tested!
Re: US military, technology, arms, tactics
the F22 used a AIM 9x with an IIR seeker [helmet cued] to target the base of the balloon that fragmented on impact.saip wrote:According to DoD there were THREE flights of balloons during the previous admin. Biden saw this politically 'convenient" ..shooting down a Chinese ballon and cancelling the china trip of its envoy.. pure optics for its American audience. pure gimmick .
anyway the billion dollar stealth fighter had its first kill .. a balloon
Re: US military, technology, arms, tactics
More than that, I think it is the Chinese original plan to let the balloon be shot. Now the Chinese reserve the right to shoot anything that crosses their airspace. I have a feeling Khan constantly sends much more sophisticated stuff across.saip wrote:According to DoD there were THREE flights of balloons during the previous admin.
