NEW DELHI: Twitter has locked the account of news agency ANI citing that the account holder is below 13 years of age.
The Twitter handle of the news agency initially showed the message ‘Your account @ANI has been locked'.
"In order to create a Twitter account, you must be at least 13 years old. Twitter has determined that you don't meet these age requirements, so your account has been locked and will be removed from Twitter," read the notice by Twitter.![]()
Later, a message on ANI's Twitter page simply read: "This account doesn’t exist".
ANI editor Smita Prakash took to Twitter to inform users about the incident and appealed to the social media company to restore the new agency's handle.
"So those who follow ANI, some bad news, Twitter has locked out India’s largest news agency which has 7.6 million followers and sent this mail - under 13 years of age! Our gold tick was taken away, substituted with blue tick and now locked out," she tweeted.
"Attention Twitter, can you restore the ANI handle please. We are not under 13 years of age!" Prakash appealed in another tweet.
NDTV's account also locked
A few hours later, NDTV's Twitter account was also locked and showed a similar message saying the "account does not exist".

Therefore India's left-leaning cosmopolitan media can't sustain themselves with the same kind of political cover as western media do.
The Indian Left are in a jury-rigged alliance, and cannot dance the same dances as the western Left, because they lack the same dance partners.
This monkey-see-monkey-do stuff just won't work for them.
By all means, let them try -- and let them reap the consequences of doing so.

They are targeting the woke youth.
This is not a vote bank issue and so, do not mistake it for that
the lgbtq community simply cannot influence any election because they simply do not have the electoral numbers. Not even a single political party worth their salt have supported them though some may have expressed low key sympathy for their cause because they are hedging their bets in the urban milieu by appearing woke friendly.
Discount the paapis out of hand, they are merely disrupters and no one cares for their views.
If it were a vote bank issue, there wouldn't have been a serious attempt to influence the NCERT curriculum
They are hoping to shift the Overton window and are using western tactics adapted to Indian conditions, as well as, strategy planned by the BIF.
Toolkit made a temporary disruption, but was uncovered and found out.The farmer's agitation, shaheenbagh and the delhi riots were real time experiments and were designed to probe internal and external media reaction, woke support, financial and material logistics that included jihadi supply chains and the public reaction.
Amriki Left are running their country into the ground. That's a shame, destroying the hard work of past generations. The govt stayed unprovoked, and also took the hit, but the movements fizzled out, virtually on their own.
someone, somewhere, has gamed the current Indian system and have drawn lessons that is leading the BIF to change/modify their tactics and strategy
The only ones capable of such coordination and sustained support are the culinary institute in partnership with the ameriki left that has rapidly risen like a malevolent monster following the political ascendancy of the obummer, shillary , and the byd@n ecosystems aided by their deep state

Let me stress, I am not calling for a ban on the film.
Freedom of expression does not cease to be valuable just because it can be misused.
But Keralites have every right to say loud & clear that this is a misrepresentation of our reality.

There have been desperate attempt to get the movie banned by the courts, but the courts did not got involved here. The censor board recommended 10 edits/cuts in the movie.
The Muslim community leadership is in denial mode and now looking for fig leaf of excuses; the most hilarious one being that the people who left to join ISIS were Christians who converted to Islam only for convenience. The commies are taking a "more loyal than the king himself" line, and whining about Kerala being targetted by Yeevil Naarth Indians etc. In the movie the lead character mentions that there are 32,000 women like here who joined ISIS (world wide); the commies are using this number to make believe that it is impractical for so many women from Kerala to join ISIS. The movie is directed by a person who is said to be a communist sympathiser, and no body really knows the entire story line, yet. True intentions of a commie are always dubious.
BBC documentary on Modi shouldn't be banned because of "Freedom of speech"
But the Kerala Story and the Kashmir Files are propaganda films and should be banned.
Another Woke-Left hypocrisy summarized
