When all this is over, I hope the general public ask themselves, in fact ask the powers that be, the media, politicians etc, why people like Douglas MacGregor & others were not allowed to give their views on the MSM ?
Why were they/we only allowed to hear the views of people who basically repeated the NeoCon line?
Why was the so called free media in the west so quick to "toe the establishment line??"
I don't think the public will though, the general public are sheep. Brainwashed and unthinking.
It's certainly a testament to how much power the NeoCons wield over the "mainstream media" whom they can make dance at their will.
These same "mainstream media" have now lost most of their viewership, and their ratings are now abysmal. So apparently, the general viewing public in the US have enough sense to know when they're being lied to. All this sudden deluge of Wokeness isn't helping the credibility of the political narrative.

Distract from Bakhmut? Stretch armyline of Ru? Moral boosting? Shot in the arm?
How is Ru covering victory in Bakhmut on channels?
[Sky news was in tears and asking Biden to mobilise NATO fully, UK ex generals asking to give parmanu to Ukr, and Bakhmut claimed 1 million army men of Ru, Ukr did splendid etc]
See Mikael Valtersson on Twitter. He is a Swedish analyst and combined fairly unbiased coverage with good info on what is happening on the ground. He had good analysis of Bakhmut and this current incursion.
Russian TV has shown the destroyed vehicles of the intruders (mostly US and Polish). Some US Humvees have been captured. Bodies of dead Ukrainians also shown - 70 are reported KIA, and apparently several are taken prisoner. There are artillery exchanges along the front and it is unclear if all the intruders have been forced out of Russian territory.
They are hoping Russia will have to weaken forces in the Southern front, June to Sep is when the front can move with the best weather, so this a diversionary attack to take away Russian resources.
Also I have noted one more point, when the Moschun dam near Kyiv was blown up both Russian and Ukrainians were engaged with each other, the waters not only drowned Russian and Russian equipment but also Ukranian soldiers and Ukranian equipment, all this equipment was Soviet origin and waters removed the markings, later on when the waters reccesseded , both Ukranian and Russian equipment were shown as Russian losses in the media.
Ukrainians literally cut parts of thier body to save Kyiv

Saw some videos on Twitter about allegedly Ukraine "rebel" forces inside Russian territory...probably shot by Ukr forces themselves from a drone. Its not like TSP sending insurgents on foot but here a convoy of vehicles going unchallenged...Russia definitely does not have the manpower to guard their vast borders with Ukr...Russia has to invest deep in to tech (long endurance surveillance drones) and do something like Israel has done i.e. put up a wall in places where insurgency most likely will happen...Active insurgency on its Eastern border is a perfect way to keep Russia's hands tied while forcing Russia to drain its resources.
Looks like random attack to create diversions and force Russia to spread it forces thin. Most of the new border region is destroyed so who cares if they come few Kilometers inside. Engage only when they stay. Else let them roam around and get money from their masters for showing success. Lure the masters into false sense of winning.
^ will be a big deal to have chief of staff get killed or incapacitated in a military strike. Along the same lines has zelensky gone back to kiev since the kremlin drone attempt?

He was in Kiev for a few days after the drone strike on Kremlin.
Has been out of Ukraine after that.
Zalushnyi has not been heard for a long time. Apparently, he had advised leaving Bakhmut back in November. But was ignored.
The last time I had paid any attention to him was the Economist interview in which he had asked for 300+ tanks and a whole bunch of other equipment. In order to commit offensive operations this year.
^ prigozhin has given very interesting statements last few months including saying he ll run for ukr presidency. I have a feeling he is doing some interesting psy ops to add to chaos . Could be a deep fake video as well .
A rare Western video showing how apart from shelling the Airport, blowing up the Moschun dam saved Kyiv. Watching the Ukrainian Soldiers at 9:30 , I don't think they flooded only the Russians, I think the Ukrainian flooded some of their own.
sad videos of ukr & ru launching grenade attacks on each other using drones: fighter loses limb mostly not life and bleeds to death slowly. Ukrops use nerve gas in grenades as well.
in another media byte German foreign min: CO will be the largest military operation since WW1
Where do they get the manpower for this mother of all offensives from? The Ukranian army has been destroyed and built up and half destroyed and built up by now…
YouTube videos from Ukranian sources don’t count on the battlefield
German FM is talking about 30-40 thousand troops from Ukr side for this CO. They can perhaps still gather that many, despite losing 50K troops in Bakhmut as per Russian MoD.
Russia is not making any strong aggressive forward moves even after taking Bakhmut. They are now intensifying the cauldron at Avideevka (a heavily entrenched small city from where the majority of rocket attacks on Donetsk are launched by Ukr) and hope it will be the next meat grinder to eat up as many Ukr troops as possible. The stated goal still remains de-militarisation. Makes sense, because Russian supply lines are well established until the fronts, they will not get stretched or exposed, they can once again use Wagner or Chechen troops to fight this urban warfare instead of engaging and exposing regular RuA troops. NATO continues to empty its weapons stocks but cannot replenish any time soon, Russia continues to gain experience fighting these systems and improving its own systems.
Time is not a constraint coz there is nothing more that the west can throw at Russia in the form of sanctions or opprobrium. Ukr continues to depopulate. Some estimates put its current population below 20 million, nearly half of what its was a decade ago.
The world mostly doesnt care. Everyone is busy readjusting their economies and trade relationships and become less and less west dependent in the medium-long term.
This conflict has started to look like season 6 of a once popular series.
Ukraine struck oil pipeline installations deep inside Russia on Saturday with a series of drone attacks including on a station serving the Druzhba pipeline, while shelling from Ukraine killed at least two https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/dr ... 023-05-27/
The nine new brigades that have been extensively trained and equipped by the West are, for now, being kept away from the front line. They will be joined by eight brigades of a recently-formed ‘Offensive Guard’ – highly-motivated volunteers chosen for the assault. Some 35,000 applied and were trained from two to four months. But there are obvious dangers in letting an attack be spearheaded by soldiers who have barely seen the battlefield. Soldiers with first-hand experience in the war are better suited for the counter-offensive than those who rely solely on their recent training and expensive war machinery. To achieve success, the Ukrainian military command will need to blend both groups.
Meanwhile, ammunition is being used so quickly that the West can’t keep up the supply. Ukraine is, finally, well equipped with bulletproof vests and helmets but now needs drones and vehicles. Kyiv is prohibited from using international aid for defence purposes, and the arms received are still insufficient.
Some 100,000 Russians are estimated to have died or been wounded in the invasion. Ukraine’s casualties no longer make headline news – but on the front line this is a big topic. Every drop of blood, every damaged vehicle and every shelling still matters. The risk is that the rest of the world gets bored of this, that the war loses its ability to shock.
The Ukrainian counter-offensive will happen, but Kyiv should stop overhyping it. If it’s successful then it has the potential to serve as a wake-up call, to help the world see Ukraine as a live story – rather than as a ‘frozen conflict’ where nothing seems to move. The problem is that Russians are well-prepared to face whatever is coming. After the weeks of hype they have had time get ready and have been digging miles of defensive trenches and summoning reinforcements.
Nonetheless, the West expects the big push to succeed. I’m even told the UK Ministry of Defence is worried about Ukraine doing too well and marching all the way to Crimea, cornering Putin.
The latest attack on Kiev...as reported went on for 5 Hours with 50+ drones.
Nothing was hit and all drones neutralised.
But im trying to figure out...why would russia send 50 + drones over five hours and not in shorter period and all at once if it really wanted to hit something... ?
mod ukr are often mocked for statements like 103 out of 100 drones were intercepted, even Ru is getting hit by Ukr drones deep inside. It is impossible to intercept all of them.
