Re: Indo-UK News & Discussions- June 2017
Seems like a new book is out in the UK to defend Britainnia against feeling shameful for its colonial past.
Nigel Biggar's "Colonialism: A Moral Reckoning"
https://www.spiked-online.com/2023/02/1 ... lity-tale/
I think in general the current British society is content to quietly brush it's colonial past under the rug and moralise others. But this Biggar fellow has put the limelight back on it, as a "Christian Ethicist". This could be fun.

Just wondering if Sunak accomplished sending immigrants to Rwanda something previous PMs couldn't get under control would he get more respect from everyone here? Is the problem that he's rich or doesn't fit into the criteria of what you would expect your PM to look like?

Most of these people feel better about themselves when they looked at immigrants. No matter how horrible a council bedsit they live in or how much money they have in pocket, they look at the boat people and feel superior in a way. Now they look at Indians who tend be quite well off, highly educated and in good jobs. They don't like what they see, this can't be happening. It is not supposed to be like this. Hence all the anger.

Cracking Down On Khalistani Elements: NIA Team Heads To London To Probe Attack On Indian High Commission
A team from National Investigation Agency, investigating the protest by pro-Khalistani elements outside the Indian High Commission in London, left for the UK after meeting with UK intelligence officials in Delhi on Tuesday, reports The Indian Express.
As per the report, a High Commission staff claimed he was assaulted by a protester attempting to bring down the flag during the protest. The mob outside caused significant damage to the mission's property.
During the fifth India-UK Home Affairs Dialogue (HAD) in Delhi on 12 April, India expressed worries over pro-Khalistani elements misusing the UK’s asylum status to support terrorist activities in India.
The meeting, led by Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla for India and Permanent Secretary, Home Office, Matthew Rycroft for the UK, was attended by several senior officials from both sides.
According to the report, Intelligence agency officials from the UK, R&AW, and NIA held a meeting on Monday to discuss the issue of anti-India activities in the UK, including Pro-Khalistan extremism.
“Following the India-UK Home Affairs Dialogue last month, intelligence agency officials of the UK and India decided to meet and discuss the pro-Khalistan elements. The R&AW officials raised several issues, including increasing monitoring of UK-based pro-Khalistan extremists. They also discussed the breach of security of the Indian High Commission and also about Avtar Singh, alias Khanda,” a source told TIE.
The Union Home Ministry ordered NIA to file a new case regarding the attack and instructed Delhi Police, who filed an FIR under UAPA, to transfer the investigation to NIA, last month.
The decision to investigate a terror link involving Pakistan's ISI was made after a preliminary investigation. An NIA team has departed for London to collect CCTV footage, examine the crime scene, and interview senior officials, said the report.
Kiran Kumar Vasant Bhosale, an assistant personnel and welfare officer at the High Commission, registered a First Information Report (FIR) with Delhi Police, alleging that on the afternoon of 19 March, he witnessed a group of approximately 50 to 60 protesters carrying yellow flags typically used by Khalistani separatists during his usual security check.
According to Bhosale's statement in the FIR, he immediately contacted the Diplomatic Protection Group (DPG) via an emergency call to notify them of the situation.
“I saw one Avtar Singh, alias Khanda, and one Gurcharan Singh… (both) frequently seen near the High Commission. They were among the leaders of the violent mob and were instigating it by shouting anti-India and pro-Khalistan slogans,” Bhosale said.

Britain imposes export ban on Tipu Sultan's rare sporting gun
And the same reasoning can be applied to all the rest of the looted stuff....A rare 18th century decorated gun made in India for Mysore ruler Tipu Sultan, and valued at around GBP 2 million, has been barred from export to allow time for a UK-based institution to acquire it for the public study of a "fraught period" in India-UK history.
UK Arts and Heritage Minister Lord Stephen Parkinson took the decision last week to impose the export ban on the ’Flintlock Sporting Gun’ following advice from the reviewing committee on the export of works of art and objects of cultural interest (RCEWA).
”This visually striking firearm is a significant antiquity in its own right, as well as an illustration of the important, interconnected history between Britain and India,” said Lord Parkinson. ”I hope that it can be shared with the widest possible public and used to deepen our understanding of a fraught period which shaped both our nations,” he said.

NIA has obtained CCTV footage from our premises in Londonistan and has reached out to SM to help identify the trouble makers.
Which means the UK govt is doing zilch to help. Most of the police falls under mayor Sadik who is a Paki so he is making sure they are twiddling thumbs.
But none of the other agencies taking it seriously, with Sunak at the helm, is really disappointing. They can wait a long time for the FTA.

Amritpal's mentor, involved in attack on Indian Commission, dies in UK
Utkarsh Mishra, June 15, 2023
Avtar Singh Purba alias Khanda, a prominent Khalistan supporter who was involved in the attack on the Indian High Commission in London, died at a hospital in the city of Birmingham on Thursday morning after a prolonged illness, a United Kingdom-based Sikh organisation said in a statement.
Sikh Federation UK, which has styled itself as one of the largest Sikh organisations based in the UK, said Avtar Singh was terminally ill with blood cancer. He was on a life support system for the last few days.
Wanted in conspiracy to kill Sukhbir Singh Badal (President of Shiromani Akali Dal-B), former Punjab Director General of Police Sumedh Singh Saini and senior advocate Rajwinder Singh Bains, Avtar Singh was allegedly involved in terrorist activities in the UK by joining the banned Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) remnants active in Britain and other countries.
Avtar Singh, who initially went to UK in 2007 on study visa but later took asylum there in 2012 and never returned since then, was linked to anti-India activities including the attack on the tricolour at the High Commission of India in London earlier this year allegations that he had denied.
His family still resides in Purana in Moga district.
'It is with the greatest sadness that we share the shocking news that the young Panthic Activist Bhai Avtar Singh Khanda (35) has passed away in a Birmingham hospital this morning,' Jaspal Singh, National Press Secretary of Sikh Federation UK, said in a statement.
The organisation went on to attack the Indian authorities for running a hate campaign against Avtar Singh and his family because of his close family ties with pro-Khalistani activists Deep Sidhu, who died in a road accident in February last year, and and Amritpal Singh, a radical preacher who is currently in an Indian jail.
He was one of the mentors of Amritpal Singh and was funding him all along.
He had also helped Amritpal in evading arrest from police for over one month. After the arrest of Amritpal, Avtar had formed a committee of foreign based Khalistani elements to run the affairs of 'Waris Punjab De'.

It wasn't just famine that killed all those people. There was the concommitant problem of opium addiction, actively encouraged by the British. The opium wars were not confined to China. For one, the opium that was piped to China was produced in India (Indian farmers were coerced to produce poppy rather than food grains). Secondly, the opium "wars" in India lasted for much longer than in China, basically all the way to independence in 1947.chetak wrote:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ob_lIQRAnYM

Below is a post I made in another thread on this topic.
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=7329&hilit=sutherland&start=142
Excerpt:
The women who work in the mills of Calcutta
and Bombay give their babies opium in the morning so
that they will sleep all day and not interrupt their
mothers at work by crying to be nursed. The women in
the villages who work in the fields dope their babies
before they go out, so that they may not waken and cry
in their mothers’ absence. A physician in the Central
Provinces estimates that 90 per cent, of the babies in
his district are doped. There are estimated to be over
50,000,000 people in India who never are able to satisfy
their hunger. Poor women of this class who have not
enough milk to nurse their babies give them opium to stop
their crying from hunger. Dr. Mistri, a woman doctor
holding a Government appointment in the West of India,
estimates that 90 per cent, of the Hindu children and 75
per cent, of the Mohammedan children are continuously
drugged from birth until they are two years old.”
Bishop Fisher of Calcutta declared in a public address
delivered in New York, May 14, 1924, that of every
100 babies born in some sections of India only 28 live to
be two years old, — the causes of this appalling death
rate being the poverty of the people, poor sanitation,
but mainly opium fed to these babes from their birth.
Says Rev. C. F. Andrews: “In India a man or woman
may go into a shop and freely purchase enough opium to
commit suicide. I took up a Bombay paper this morning
and saw as a common piece of news the account of a
woman who had just committed suicide by opium poison-
ing, and side by side with it was the report of the death
Re: Indo-UK News & Discussions- June 2017
Yes, Brits grew poppy in India. The northeast sections of India were famous for such cultivations. Many of the undesirables in these areas were groomed to take drugs towards China. Diverting land from food grains to poppy seeds caused famines/hunger. There were many Indians involved in the drug trade and those who made money (there are many famous families who got a start in wealth creation in India during the BritShitRaj era) by shipping/curating poppy vats flourished during and after the BritshitRaj.
Another area of wanton human death occurred when the Brits shipped Indians to their far flung lands across the globe. These people were given food as inducement to board the ship. Once they got to distant lands due to the cruelty of their masters many perished. In fact the Brits paved the way for the model of slave trade to the American continent from Africa using the India experience.

Why......The West is inviting India to help in reconstructing Ukraine
Next month, the UK and Ukraine will host the Ukraine Recovery Conference in London
The aim is to raise funds from governments & the private sector to stabilize Ukraine
India is invited
“You broke it, you pay for it.
Don’t pass the burden onto those who had no role in the breaking”

Re: Indo-UK News & Discussions- June 2017
India will not pay, but our businesses might want juicy reconstruction contracts to build infra and hospitals, schools, railways ityadi with fat margins. It's the EU taxpayers who will be the biggest suckers. So why can't India make some profits this time around? Duh!

In Britain, there is an entrenched class system. Caste if you will.
Most men in high profile positions are from boys public school background. These are of course anything but open to the public. They are breeding grounds of incestuous networking and class consolidation.
The formative sexual experiences are as a rule with other pubescent males. These preferences are established and nurtured there. And seem to persist into adulthood.
