India-US relations: News and Discussions IV
Re: India-US relations: News and Discussions IV
HAF has some brilliant people doing amazing work. Aside from Suhag Shukla and her team, Dr. Indu Viswanathan is bringing a much-needed psychological aspect to the efforts to keep Hinduism alive.

US DM also visiting South Korea, Indonesia after India.
Wonder why not visit the Phillipines or Taiwan to showcase the breadth of alliance ?Over the summer, the U.S. and India released their road map for expanding their defense industrial cooperation and enhancing interoperability through the India-U.S. Defense Acceleration Ecosystem, or INDUS-X.
The road map identified key areas for cooperation between the countries' defense industrial sectors, including cooperation on technology related to intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, undersea domain awareness, air combat and support, munitions systems and mobility.
https://www.defense.gov/News/News-Stori ... nnovation/"Every stop on this trip will highlight how the department continues to do more than ever alongside its allies and partners to deliver a shared regional vision of peace, stability and prosperity," a senior official said.
Re: India-US relations: News and Discussions IV
Garooda, you have posed the same question in two threads unnecessarily.
As for the Philippines, Austin visited that country in late Jan this year and then Pres. Marcos visited the US and met Austin in the Pentagon. So exchanges at that level are on-going.
As for Taiwan, no US Def Secy has visited that country, but other top defence officials regularly go.

Dr. Ankit Shah take on India-USA meet, includes predictions in Jaipur Dialogues with Sanjay Dixit.
US Defence secretary and State Dept Blinken are in India for some interesting talks (2+2) with India. India and Israel are voicing the same thing on international terrorism and the stand they take is totally in synch. The US is mouthing pauses & humanitarian aid in Gaza but no ceasefire in the language. The Israelis have already requested India labor pool to supplant the Gazan Hamas bunch. Gazans will be shifted into the Sinai very soon and make Egypt manage this unruly populace.
In the defense sector, the US MIC has decided to shift things into India. This is crucial. The MIC industry companies will also shift R&D into India, like the IT sector and other commercial companies have been doing over the last few decades. Interestingly, the Indian talent pool will eventually dictate new technologies both in commercial and defense sectors and US may say in 2035 ask India to share its technology to the US! There is also the Israeli angle to the MIC story since the Deep State owns much of the MIC worldwide. India is going to dictate world outcomes in the next decade or so. The UN definitely requires reform, Britshits are irrelevant in the scheme of things in the world. France is getting there since its loot in Africa has been curtailed severely. The Chinese are careening down the swirl pool of the sewer in terms of economics.
Russia has been bogged down in the Ukr war. Eventually Russia has to reconcile its position viz a viz China thereby leaning more towards India since the alternative is not conducive. The supply of goods from Euroland has been halted in Rus and the alternatives are China and India. Chinese goods have flooded Rus but over time, the Russian population will favor India goods for better reliability and quality. India is slowly extricating itself away from Rus defense products and switching to the ones from US MIC (which are transitioning into India). Actually semiconductors, MRO, much of the lowend/medium stuff in defence MIC munitions will he hosted in India. Very seminal changes are in the offing. Time for the NRIs to rethink their return to India and establish their base otherwise down the road it would become a costly affair.

Re: India-US relations: News and Discussions IV
The US Banking crisis is an impending event that would cause impactful global disruptions. During covid the US printed enough money to sustain the economy. Loans were given at low interest rates and then suddenly the Feds increased the interbank lending rate (hovering at 5.5% now) to tame inflation. This caused some banks to fold like SVB (Silicon Valley Bank). US tech investment has almost stopped due to cost of loans. The US debt is inching towards 35 T and interests payments have become 1 T. Most of treasury notes are owned by outsiders like Saudi Arabia, Japan, China. They are slowly removing their investments in small amounts but many of them are thinking of wholesale removal of their investments. Now, the US public needs to own the treasury notes which is a huge question mark. One of the causalities of the dual causes - change of interest rates and due to global wars - the Euroland economies nose dived. Also cheap imports from China are no more available. China is facing a dual problem - no market to sell and no internal demand; their over capacity will cause employment disruption and internal riots. Other potential currencies like rupee / yuan /ruble do not have bonds that international investments can be attracted towards the bond.
It comes down to the value of a money/currency. Initially we had barter system, replaced with coins, then paper notes with backing of gold initially and then removed in Bretton-Woods agreement, now countries are going towards digital currency. Canada's central bank sold all their gold reserves, though they have lots of natural resources. Resources and value of goods are going to become more expensive. Don't be surprised if some resort to barter systems - my resource for your resources.
The financial reset would be wide ranging. Assured Employment could be a huge challenge for most in the western economies. AI is going to obviate many jobs. Global Service sector is going to take a hit, the high tech software jobs are going to disappear quite rapidly. Indian software companies should look into diversifying their portfolio and shifting resources to other areas (e.g., farming, food processing, defence, manufacturing, space), nations (russia, south east asia, africa) and create some domain experience by marrying software with their domain needs. Manufacturing clout shifts to India, though they might not yield cheap goods a la China. India should strengthen the family unit, giving the woman flexibility to raise a family and perhaps involve in cottage industries in a flexible format. Those NRIs with huge 401K/retirement funds should look at alternates/hedging and perhaps move back to India and invest in India.
In the last 2000 yrs odd, the colonialist had their run in the world, they took wealth from India and China. Both India and China ruled the world GDP for a long time accumulating wealth due to trade. After Bretton-woods, the west tried to devalue the value of gold and boost printing of money for other activities. Indians took this opportunity to recover their stolen gold by buying them back. China cashed in by becoming the manufacturing hub for the West. Now they face a sudden and dramatic slump because the West turned against them after the Covid debacle. There is going to be more internal troubles for China.

Re: India-US relations: News and Discussions IV
Bala sir, I do not think there will be an US banking crisis, at least in the next 5 years and the banking crisis's moment has passed now. FEDS increase of the interbank rate was also not sudden, but was a deliberate event with many, many warnings and the market adjusted to it very well, too well actually. This is evident from the fact that it took longer than expected to bring inflation back to sub 4% levels. The collapse of SVB was mainly because of the classic orchestrated bank run from the front end by actors who wanted to stop the FED from raising any more rates. I see COGS reports every month and they are on a gradual down trend from their peak in 2022 suggesting the prices of resources are on a downward slope. Also, less investments because of higher interest rates is not a bug, but a response FED wants to see to tame inflation, but the historically low unemployment rate with jobs still being added(150k added in October) is anything but doom and gloom. My "opinion" is there will not be an economic crisis in the US in the next 2-3 years, but moderate inflation may persist. This rate hike tamed the housing market, but as soon as FEDs signals it will pause or lower rates, it will take off again. If there is a barter trade system that will make it's appearance, it will show up in niche, and cash strapped economies like NoKo, Iran, Russia and I'll be surprised to see it reach even 1% of global trade. Long story short, the time to save your cash in your pillows is no where close.
Re: India-US relations: News and Discussions IV
Jay thanks for your insight which I think is true. I have a few things which I want to point out in the US system. Interests payment of 1T is a definite worry and the 35T could balloon up further to around 40 or 50 T in a short time period. The Banking crisis may not happen in the classic sense but the US Govt needs to act on its global debts. The debt crisis is a gnarly problem since they need political consensus. True inflation is not properly done, since most items for day to day consumption of average family in the US is dramatically up, in many cases it has doubled and tripled.
On employment it is a mixed bag. The high tech sector has seen huge layoffs and many qualified people are out of a job. The high tech industry is reeling massively. The low end sectors are adding jobs, it is hard to find people in retail, construction, hotel industry, food sector, farming, transport and other sectors.

Republican Hindu American Congressional caucus launched
Times Of India
Times Of India
The Congressional Hindu Caucus celebrated its official inauguration and Diwali on Wednesday at an event hosted by the Republican Hindu Coalition (RHC) in Washington DC. RHC chairman and caucus policy advisor Shalabh Kumar hosted caucus co-chairs Elise Stefanik and Pete Sessions, and 16 other members of the US Congress.
Over 600 prominent Hindu Americans from across the US also attended the event. For the first time ever, a large number of members of the US Congress will meet frequently to pursue legislative objectives important to Hindu and Indian Americans, US and India bilateral relations, and serve as a bridge between the Hindu American community and US policymakers and leaders; serving as a major conduit between the largest democracy in the world and the oldest democracy in the world, according to a press release from RHC.
“This will be one of the largest caucuses in the US Congress that would be actively engaged in enacting legislation and passing resolutions important to the Hindu American community,” Kumar said at the event.
Kumar also highlighted the substantial contributions of over six million Hindu Americans and four and a half-million Indian Americans in various fields and the pivotal role played by them in shaping the fabric of American society.
“More than 75% have a bachelor’s degree, more than 55% have a master’s degree, one out of eight medical professionals are Hindus, one out of ten has some kind of a business enterprise,” he said adding that the community is represented at the highest level and now has a voice in American politics.

Another state sponsor of terror (US) has admitted that they keep their terrorist assets safe & try to shift blame on India by claiming RAW tried to assassinate Pannu
So, here is the Indian public reaction they are not counting on:
1) Without proof, their claims mean jack-shit
2) If they give proof, they hand 2024 to Modi on a platter. Every Indian will rejoice the taking out of terrorists anywhere
3) They have a lot to answer for - why are they harboring terrorists in their soil

They are setting the stage for something else too: "If you don't stop, our Khalistani & Islamic assets will take out a HVT on your side"
We must have the cojones to play the long, hard & bloody game. If the White Pakis escalate, there will come a time when it won't be just their assets who will be paid a visit by the unknown gunmen
We should also do an internal purge, like what China did when they bumped off an entire CIA-network inside China. The US could do nothing but suck its thumbs

So much of this doesn't make sense. After the recent threat to Air India by this character, security was updated for Air India flights.
Extra security check for Air India flights from Delhi, Punjab airports
Transport minister, RCMP say Canada is investigating 'threats' against Air India
If US federal agencies have been protecting this person, it follows that the true threat level was not communicated

This series of reports reminds me of Salma quotes Sabrina by the great MediaCrooks. Salma plants a fake news, Sabrina quotes it, followed by her dog whistle friends. Soon every news outlet picks the news quoting a different person all of whom are just parroting Salma. Now the news is legit as it has a source as well as references to back it. Cycle is completed ftw!

Re: India-US relations: News and Discussions IV
Questions that Indian diplomats, Indian civilians, Media and NRIs must ask the U.S State Department and White House:
1) Did FBI protect a dangerous terrorist?
2) You claim that India is an important ally. If so, why are you nurturing a terrorist against India?
3) We have videos of Pannu threatening to blow-up planes. We take these Khalistani threats seriously because they have blown up Kanishka, killing 350+ people. Is it the U.S Policy to encourage terrorists who threaten to blow up planes?
4) Has the U.S shared intel with India on Khalistani terror plots?
5) Why has the U.S not arrested Pannu for threatening to kill Indians, India's PM and our diplomats?
6) Why is the Khalistani movement not classified as a terrorist organization in the U.S?
We should not answer questions. The U.S does not get to ask questions when they harbor terrorists. They must be the ones answering questions.

from here: https://t.co/nXFz2vo85v"Indian intelligence chief (Ajit Doval) told the CIA Director that the only reason they don’t take action against SFJ’s G.S Pannu, for openly calling for assassinations of Indian diplomats, is because he is actually a CIA agent."
So, to reiterate: go on the offensive. Ask hard questions. Make them answer. We don't owe them any answers

A Dutch court tried a former cricketer on the Pakistani national team for allegedly attempting to incite the murder of anti-Islam politician Geert Wilders.
Dutch public prosecutors said cricketer Khalid Latif called for Wilders to be killed in a video posted to social media in 2018 and offered a bounty of €21,000 ($23,000).
The incident occurred after Wilders had announced his plan to hold a competition for cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad. Such images are forbidden in Islam as a form of idolatry, and most Muslims regard caricatures as deeply offensive.
Re: India-US relations: News and Discussions IV
This is what you have so far, so have to wait. Media masters will play this story to the n-th degree and all the mileage.
This means Pannu or whoever was allegedly being targeted gets official protection as a company man. And, the people get distracted to ask why alleged rule-of-law countries did not prosecute a criminal who threatened people about using Air India.(from articles..) U.S. federal prosecutors have also filed a sealed indictment against at least one suspect in a New York district court, the FT said.
Re: India-US relations: News and Discussions IV
There isn’t much traction to this one… yet. Not to the level of the Canada one…
Re: India-US relations: News and Discussions IV
Just a wild guess, but I found the timing interesting and technicalities. This comes immediately after National Investigation Agency (NIA) registered a case against Pannun under charges related to terrorism and conspiracy. He is on videos making threats. I'm not sure about the exact agreement, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are mutual agreements between US and India to transfer/exchange criminals. After NIA case, Pannu could be required to be transferred to India under the agreement (an assumption on my part). If yes, then this would make sense to be a swift counter, which will require US to legally keep him under the witness protection program (e.g., Tahawwur Rana, David Hadley ityadi), and off the hands of foreign agencies, may be, while alleged unknown gunman story keeps masses and news wires busy.
Re: India-US relations: News and Discussions IV
This latest article is a mea culpa perhaps. The useful points are -
1. Pannu clarifying to media that his threat to Air India does not mean blowing up the planes.
2. "Sources" acknowledging that they are in the know of his activities to the extent of placing him under police protection.
Does indicate a breakdown of trust in the police agencies on both sides.

Indian business houses are being penetrated by the Deep State of the US - Georgie SoreAss and OM-idyar are spreading their tentacles in mumbai and other places. They have been at it for a long time, now there is urgency to pick up the pace. Woke, ESG and other brain-washing disruptive ideas are being thrust. Lucrative, Harvaad stamp of approval endowments, pseudo atta-boy awards and fame for the business honchos of India to kow-tow to the Deep state whims and dictats are being carefully groomed. The media houses are going to sing their praises sky high.

'Assassination plots’: US inputs legally presentable, got nothing specific from Canada, says Indian envoy
This is the first time that a senior Indian official has drawn a distinction between what US and Canada have shared with India, regarding alleged assassination plots against Khalistan separatists in these two countries.
Washington has shared “legally presentable” inputs with Delhi on “Indian connections” in the alleged assassination plot of Khalistan separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, but Ottawa has shared only “allegations” linked to separatist Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s killing, Indian High Commissioner to Canada Sanjay Kumar Verma has said.
He also said that the Indian connections referred to by the US are not “Government of India connections”, but are linked to “people” in India.
