Second SBI by acting this way, has created an impression that there is something there.
From what I have read on Twitter. This order from SC ultimately would not be able to prove what the "seculars" want to prove. SC has asked SBI to prepare two lists.SRajesh wrote:Given the opinion polls they want to stop this election going ahead or tarnish the image and discredit the victory.
1. List of people who purchased electoral bonds.
2. Amount generated by each political party via redeeming electoral bonds.
The crucial link still cannot be established. Who purchased a specific electoral bond, and which party redemeed that specific electoral bond and took the money. So if "seculars" want to know how much Ambani & Adani paid BJP, they will not be able to conclusively prove it. We may also see a situation that some of the "seculars" may have redeemed more bonds than the BJP.
The Election Commissioner resignation is bit murky. That post has to be filled up, and only then Lok Sabha elections can be announced. This will also give some time for BIF to try to cause some ruckus like the farmer broker gang tried recently in Haryana border.
