ECI website: https://results.eci.gov.in/PcResultGenJ ... /index.htm

Click on the leading number to see the constituency where they are leading. For example INC leads in 78 seats and here is the breakup by seat: https://results.eci.gov.in/PcResultGenJ ... te-742.htm

And here is the break up for Amethi (Smriti Irani is trailing by 13k votes): https://results.eci.gov.in/PcResultGenJ ... -S2437.htm

At one point, even Modi was trailing from Varanasi. I will lose all hope in the super consciousness, ishwara, god, dharma etc etc if Modi+Yogi lose in UP big time.

The fight between the heavyweights Shashi Tharoor and Rajeev Chandrasekhar is heating up as votes for the constituency are counted. Both the candidates kept switching the lead between them with small margins during the initial hours of counting.

what concerns me is that on the EC site, the pie chart (upper half, not bottom), which shows the number of seats leading, BJP has less than half the width, earlier it was almost 2/3 of the semi-circle.

The best I can make out, e.g., for AAP leads, is that about 5% of the vote has been counted.

BJP really needed a majority on its own, The allies are mostly untrustworthy and the likes of Nitishwa, Ajit etc won't wait for 5 mins before jumping ship

So for any meaningful power the BJP number needs to go beyond 260

Right now it's hovering around 210

Anything less than 300 seats for the NDA will be bad for India economically & strategically.

Suresh Gopi has a lead of 20K for NDA in Thrissur in Kerala. Almost unassailable lead.

Even Madhavi Latha was leading earlier.. looks like it was just from that one Hindu dominated assembly constituency there.

Sachin wrote: 04 Jun 2024 10:09 Please note: ECI leads/wins are the final truth. Media reports are just trends, and their bias can be seen. Example; at 10:08 AM IST Mathrubhumi.com shows NDA 284, INDI 227, OTH 31. Their rivals Malayala Manorama shows NDA 304, INDI 218, OTH 21.
I think the news outlets get the tally from the counting stations and post them before ECI. So, the results vary depending on which news outlet is quick or from which counting stations they are getting their numbers.

The SP numbers are mind boggling, 34 seats leading based on ECI website

Big blow to UP BJP and overall numbers if they hold on to even 80% of those leads.

Unfortunately it seems Hindu vote consolidation hoped for has not happened

See this is the trouble with our society. We quibble so much over pretty issues that we don’t understand National elections are about India as a whole. They are not about pretty or local things.

Anyways in another 2hrs/2.5 hrs we would know whether India will rise economically, strategically and militarily or our future generations will suffer colonialism 2.0/3.0.

Unfortunately politics is always local, however, I am thinking 34 will get to 10-15 by the end of the count.

Also from the ECI website, the vote share is 39.70% which is better than 37.36 % in 2019. So don't give up hope :)

In Coimbatore, Annamalai is trailing after about 1L votes counted... Still a long way to go but trending down.

Roughly would it be about 25% votes counted by now on average across the board?

UP will have to be looked at very closely.

Is it some issue ?

Or just plain laziness of the voter ?

Or wrong candidate selection ?
