This is what I understand :

Withdrawals from a Roth IRA you've had more than five years. If you've met the five-year holding requirement and at least 59 ½ years old, you can withdraw money from a Roth IRA with no taxes or penalties. Remember that unlike a Traditional IRA, with a Roth IRA there are no required minimum distributions.

Feel free to give you opinion on the topic.

For one, you cannot put any money into a Roth IRA if you make more than 250k per year. https://www.irs.gov/retirement-plans/am ... e-for-2023

Two, it cannot exceed $6500 per year. I doubt billions of dollars can be stuffed into an account that maxes out at 6.5k per year. Prove me wrong...

Three, if you use a backdoor roth ira, even then you cannot move stocks or options, just cash.

I retract my statement then. Yes, IRA can be used as a brokerage account and one can actively trade, including options. Never seen anyone mention the ability to buy into seed rounds before…

Like the IRAs that allow one to hold Bitcoin, they tend to cost a bit, but are available.

So will it be Mylapore Mami? Or someone else?

Personally I doubt Mamis chances. She is unelectable except as a she-is-not-Trump vote

Biden Withdraws from Presidential Race (in case you hadn't heard)

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c1e5xpdzkd8o

He has endorsed Kamala Harris while stepping aside.

So she may be the likely nominee. He had all the delegates (the ones who elect the nominee) and so presumably his endorsement means they'll all go to her now.

  1. IF( Between now and 19th Aug DNC, there is a crisis AND Mylapore Mami steps out on to the field to be visible solving it), THEN (I will start liquidating US dollar holdings)
  2. IF (Mami Mylapore solves crisis) THEN (Biden will move aside citing ill health, and a Deep Stata VP like Cheney will be brought in to support Mami as President, and elections will be fudged)
  3. IF (She wins election) THEN (US is headed for a crash, because she will be brought in as a visible scapegoat- Time to short USD if you can).
I didn't expect Bidenwa to throw in the hat so early. Having said that let's see if there's a manufactured crisis between now and the DNC which MM will solve.

Very predictably, NeoCon Never-Trumpers who'd supported Nikki Haley are now throwing their money behind Kamala, who is Trump's only remaining opponent

https://www.newsweek.com/nikki-haley-vo ... is-1928198

Nikki Haley, as a Republican, has endorsed Trump who is the duly designated party nominee.
But the Never-Trumpers who funded her would not be similarly bound -- and thus are now choosing to throw their money behind Kamala.
The Never-Trumpers are the hardcore NeoCons who play outside normal rules. If there's any political faction I'd suspect of trying to assassinate Trump, it's those people.
Nikki herself is not those people, she's just been a useful tool and a beneficiary of their money, just like Kamala now will be.
NeoCons will want to use idiot Kamala the same way they used senile Biden, to rubberstamp them in pursuing more war, death, and destruction.

President Dhritarashtra has now bowed out.
Will Kamala be a blindfolded Gandhari who allows more war?
Will their Kauravas continue to run amok?

Who knows Mami may be acting dumb all along only to show her true colours once she gets the baton ? If she is part of inner circle that knows Sleepy’s situation then she is likely to know a lot more and understand the true situation and will only be happy to be coached and act as per the instructions received. Of course after debates this will become clear but one has to be careful of such Lalu Yadavs

Will be hard to beat due to domestic US politics around women's rights. And will pick up more momentum with a VP announcement later.
This must have been the plan all along to catch the other side flat footed. Number of people coming out in support of Harris tells the tale.

Kamala will definitely try to veer the election campaigning towards women's rights, in order to rally women as her Vote Bank.
Some say she will likely pick a female running mate to double down on this strategy.

In the electoral numbers game, Democrats feel that women voters are the best path to victory over Trump. So expect intensification on women's issues

Kamla will be disaster for the Indo US relationship.

She is smart and capable to understand exactly where her interests are. That coupled with her ambition makes her a willing collaborators to the permanent Washington establishment.

This establishment has decided that India is an enemy.

Kamala is not exactly presidential material for the US. The US Deep State loves such semi-dumb peope since they can dictate the way things are done. The CIA/FBI/Judicial is filled with deep state creatures and they know the ins and outs of everything. Kamala, slept her way up - there is nothing to it other than that. She was girlfriend of Willie Brown who was mayor of SanFrancisco and using his power she bulldozed her way up. The state of california elected her as attorney general of the state because there were no viable alternates. BTW Kamala is no great lawyer, her grades in school were so, so and she does not stand out as someone capable of anything. The republicans had some capable people but the state is lunatically dumbocrats. I have no idea why Joe Biden picked Kamala as VP, could be from the prompting of the deep state. Now we find ourselves staring at VP Kamala and wondering how lady luck is shining on this person who has a vicious cackle for laughter.

Just another observation of mine and strictly IMO. People doing law are not the brightest people in the US. All lawyers, they look good and pass some exams, they are cunning and street crafty since their upper chambers are not that bright to begin with. The bright ones are scientists, industry leaders and so forth. The brighter lawyers make oodles of money since the judiciary is stacked with litigations that fine heavily. The US political system is saddled with lawyers in every nook and cranny. D J Trump is not a lawyer. Most presidents of US are lawyers. Tis a curse to have a system that is so heavily skewed towards the legal profession.

For all those saying Deep State this and Deep State that…

It has been postulated that all the Deep State cares about is controlling the candidate and implementing its own agenda regardless of the party in power. If thats the case, isnt Trump the best candidate that DS can ever hope to have? Trump has so many skeletons in his cupboard ranging from Epstein to financial affairs. He is far easier to control than any other candidate.

Just because he says he is against DS doesnt make it so.

That's a valid argument. But you also have to look at the nearly 8 years of constant efforts to neutralize Trump.

There has to be something about the man. That is worthy of destruction by a lot of powerful people. I have always wondered what that is?

I mean that is just politics.. The opposition will by hook or by crook do everything in its power to bring you down

Assassination attempt aside there is nothing more done to neutralize trump than what the R's didn't try for Obama

Right from electoral manouvering to using media to spin conspiracy theories on his birth certificate, his wife's masculinity etc etc to blocking key appointments.

I don't see how one can argue that Pelosi and Dem establishment have done anything than Mitch Mc and Rep establishment didn't to Obama.

------
The way I see it the US-India relationship is being driven more from the Pentagon and State Department than the White House and those are going to pretty much remain the same way no matter who's elected

Hindu American Foundation's (HAF) Suhag Shukla was invited by the White House to represent the Hindu American community for a roundtable with religious leaders from national faith-based organizations on interfaith coalition . The event held late last week was a pooled press event followed by closed to press conversation.

HAF offeredv a Hindu perspective at this important event.https://www.c-span.org/video/?537180-1/ ... roundtable

Chetak Saar, yes the bullet found demented ol Joe Biden. The turn of events is quite stunning. MMaami is gloating over the chance to become El Presidente of US, being first woman of US to do so. The person who is seething with rage is madam hilary clinton. She wanted to become first woman El Presidente of US but DJ Trump spoiled the chance. Obummer also is not thrilled with the outcome, he being first african american El Presidente. We need to watch for the twists and turns that the DNC will throw up in August. SoreAss has already endorsed MMaami. MMaami current husband is a deep state operative.
