Less than 20 seconds in all. Around 5 seconds exposure at the highest altitude points prior/after launch. Very little time for air defenses to react.

Tree top height flying has its own risks.. especially near urban centers. Bird strike, power lines,...

IAF have lost aircraft and pilots.

One more reason to have VLO aircrafts.

Plenty of manpower still left

4.7 million Ukrainians update their military registration
Since the mobilization reform law came into force on May 18, 4,690,496 draft-eligible Ukrainian citizens have updated their military registration, Defense Ministry announced on July 17.

According to the ministry, 3,028,066 people updated their data through the government’s Reserve+ app, with 1,152,227 doing so in-person via Administrative Service Centers.

The least popular approach was to go through the military recruitment centers— only 510,203 people went this route.

As of July 16, the two-month deadline has passed for adult male Ukrainians aged 18-60 to update their registration.

Regardless whoever puts an end to this conflict, who is going to rebuild the war torn regions ? If Russia wins, they have to. If Russia loses or agrees to a peace deal, then what ?

I think Russians should just stick with these glide bombs. Not only that, they should come up with a cheap mass-produceable drone aircraft specifically designed to carry these bombs toward the target.

I am really surprised by the fact that no flares were let out. It should be a matter of instinct for the pilot.

Zelensky seems to be panicking, as Biden steps down
Would there even be continuity of current Biden team (Sullivan, etc) if Kamala somehow wins the election?

India's assistance as a peace broker could definitely be useful for him

Prof John Mearsheimer:

Mearsheimer states that in 1991 when it left USSR, Ukraine had a population of 52 million people.
He then cites a UN report which predicts that in 2100, Ukraine will have a population of 15 million people.

This is what it would be like for the Su-25 pilot after getting hit. Very few seconds to eject and survive.

I had been expecting the deployment of NLOS fiber optic guided weapons in Ukraine. Due to the proliferation of cheap jamming capabilities in theatre.

An experimental form of such system was deployed as a part of a quad copter drone several months ago.

Anna from Ukraine

Ukraine signed the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons in 1991 and the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances in 1994—decisions that are often questioned by Ukrainians today. The country was obliged to eliminate the world's third-largest nuclear arsenal.
In this video from our friends ‪@UNITED24media‬, we will explore a unique site where the last remaining command post and a missile silo have been preserved as museum exhibits, to learn better on kind of power, Ukrainian arsenal once possessed.

This is quoting half the guarantees. The reciprocal guarantees of neutrality have been gladly skipped by US SD. Nothing surprising.

10 x F-16s in the first batch. Another 10 by the end of the year.

Rest of the F-16s (65) will arrive in batches in 2025/26. Countries donating are Belgium, Denmark, Netherlands, and Norway. They have over 200 x F-16s in service. These countries are replacing their F-16s with F-35.

Ukraine has asked for 130 x F-16s.

I don't get your Nehru reference. Are you asking why I'm skeptical about the benefits of Modi's trip to Ukraine?
Or are you yourself asking why Modi's even bothering to go to Ukraine?

Russians may bite their lip and humour Modi's desire to look like an international statesman -- but I don't think they appreciate our attempt to barge into their bilateral dispute any more than we'd appreciate some outsider barging into our bilateral dispute on Kashmir.

Perhaps the only thing Russians might find useful from Modi's visit to Ukraine is for him to pass on messages from Russia to them.

Otherwise, I think the Russians intend to use tangible gains on the ground to bargain for what they want.

VIDEO: https://x.com/Gerashchenko_en/status/18 ... 1149910035 ---> A video appeared online of a Russian pilot who was shot down but managed to eject. He filmed his and his aircraft's fall on his phone. As the ejection occurred above the clouds and at a considerable altitude, it could either be the pilot of a Su-30/Su-35 fighter or a Su-34 bomber. Judging by the calm behavior of the pilot, the plane was shot down deep in the Russian rear.

Indian Armed forces better be prepared for PLA drone swarms. China is far ahead in all drone technologies, manufacturing capabilities, optics, AI, that Ukraine or Russia has deployed so far.

Capital Assets such as Tanks, Su30, Rafales, Attack Helicopter are vulnerable to cheap drones. Worse is the our advantage in infantry is vulnerable to precision drones swarms.

^^^
Indian armed forces will buy 30 drones for 3 billion dollars so MoD babus get their money. And china will produce 300K small drones in same money and then more.

Unless the MoD babus get their flesh, they will not let any mass production and orders for drone manufacturing take off. MoD babus should step up the orders for the killer drone swarm program that newspace is working on. They have to provide a order for stocks & manufacturing for a 3 year war now with requirement of upto 10K drones per day. that is 365 x 3 x 10K = 10 Million drones.

Every infantry battalion has to have their own FPV drone op unit + deeper independent drone brigades operating larger drones like lancet/surveillance drones. I.

I have a e-book `The Russian way of war' by Jacques Baud.
It deals with the early part of the Ukraine war has good info on Russian hardware and is his second book on the subject.
Though it seems pro Russia, the author is a retired Col. who spent years in NATO, studying Russia and knows what he is talking about.

If you DM or e-mail me ( [email protected] ) , I can send you a free copy.

I would appreciate if in return you visit my blog https://rpdeans.blogspot.com/ and forward to anyone interested. I post on

Looks like a desperate PR stunt. They've sent their best troops to do a Kargil, and meanwhile their main warfront is falling apart.

They're only going to lose these troops, and meanwhile the Russians are inexorably advancing on the main fronts.

Same with their F-16 'wonder-weapon" mentality. 3rd Reich also put its faith in small numbers of wonder-weapons. Me-262 never turned the tide of battle.

Is it true that Ukes did a drone strike on the Zaporizia nuclear power plant?

Are they trying to create a crisis by triggering a nuclear meltdown?

Yes. The cooling tower of the plant was hit by a drone.
There is relatively less danger as the plant is not operational.
I think the Ukrainians were trying double blackmail - show that they can damage Zaparozhye and also seize an actual nuvlear plant in
Russia at Kursk and the storage site for nuclear weapons at Kruchatov (near Kursk) which seems to be the objective of their advance into
the Kursk region. Possible use that as an attempt to force Russia to negotiate peace on terms more favorable to Ukraine.
