Bangladesh News and Discussion
Re: Bangladesh News and Discussion
Is it true that new Bangla govt is supposedly placing lots of purchase orders for weapons from Pakistan?
To me, this sounds like a move orchestrated from Washington and possibly Beijing as well.
Looks like some kind of attempt at de-facto reunification of East+West Pakistan.

Re: Bangladesh News and Discussion
Unlikely to happen. The geographical realities are staggering. India is considerably more powerful than it was in 1971. Bhikaristan's 'rasin-dieter' is in jeopardy. The Bhikaristanis look down upon the Bhooka Nanga Bangali's and Kangladesh and don't consider them as worthy muslims. Bhikaristan is in an existential crisis with Baluchistan and KPK slipping away from Punjabistan. They TSP army doesn't have the financial resources to fill fuel for it's tanks and planes with the TFTA fauj getting screwed by the BLA and TTP.
Re: Bangladesh News and Discussion
I'm not talking about full reunification - I'm talking about a "de facto reunification" where Pak & Bangla coordinate their policies against common enemy India. Remember that the West Pakistanis look down upon the 'kallu' Bangals, and don't even want to repatriate the Biharis stranded since 1971.RCase wrote: ↑31 Aug 2024 03:59 Unlikely to happen. Both USA & Cina would stand to benefit from increased solidarity between Pak+Bangla against India.
I saw a recent guest appearance by Prof Madhav Nalapat on PGurus hosted by Sree Iyer ji. Nalapat seemed bizarrely convinced that China was the main culprit in this regime change in Dhaka, and that US is just some clueless Clouseau-style idiot completely incapable of carrying out regime change in Dhaka.
Sometime Nalapat comes across as an inverse Subramaniam Swamy. Whereas Swamy avoids criticizing China and leans towards blaming US, Nalapat seems to criticize US less and willing to blame China more.
I don't doubt that China would use Hasina's ouster to its benefit, but I truly feel US is the main agent of this regime change in Dhaka.
I find the ruling NeoCons in Washington to be very dangerously impulsive impetuous hyper-aggressive hot-headed adventurists. They're also om a desperate predicament of facing a huge reckoning in US November elections, which could sweep them out of power, leaving them dangerously vulnerable.

Sree Iyer ji says he believes Modi & Co have some clever plan up their sleeve to turn the Bangla situation around.
I dunno - it better be really clever - because we've got a lot riding on this.
The only thing I can say in their favour, is that these Ndirty eoCon rats are only cunning at starting wars, and not good at fighting or winning them.

Bangla suddenly ordering arms from Pak?

US gives dollars as aid to BD. BD uses dollars to place order with Pak. Pak uses dollars to place orders with US.
US gets to give arms to both BD and Pak without having to explain why it is aiding jihadis on both sides of India.
Win-Win for the US

Hindu girl from Bangladesh, 16, shot dead by BGB while crossing over to Tripura
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/arti ... aign=cppst
Infidels, especially women, won't be allowed by momins to escape their clutches. Is there any incident where Bangladeshi border guards have shot any Muslims crossing into India?
Read more at:Agartala: A minor Hindu girl from Bangladesh was allegedly shot dead by Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) while she was trying to cross over to Tripura to escape atrocities in her own country.
Though the incident happened on Sunday night, the BSF discovered the body of Swarna Das (16) near the zero point of the India-Bangladesh border in Kailashahar, Unokoti district on Monday.
“Reportedly, Swarna and her parents had been facing problems in Bangladesh since regime change. In the last three weeks, they attempted to cross over to Tripura thrice but failed,” a source in the home department said. BSF reports indicate that Swarna was shot by Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) while trying to cross the border with her parents, Rebati Das and Rani Das. “When they were attempting to cross the border near Pillar No. 57 taking advantage of the absence of BSF at night, the BGB opened fire,” the source added.
Swarna, who managed to run a short distance after being shot, succumbed to her injuries at the zero point. Her parents went back to Bangladesh but were later caught by BGB and are currently receiving treatment at Moulvibazar District Hospital. As the girl died on Indian soil, Bangladeshi authorities could not retrieve her body. A team led by the additional SP of Unakoti, along with BSF officials, recovered the body in the afternoon and sent it for post mortem.
A senior BSF officer on Tuesday said the girl’s body was handed over to the family through BGB in Manu check post on Tuesday. “Swarna was killed by BGB and after all the formalities, we have handed over her body to the family through BGB in Manu check post on Tuesday,” a senior BSF official confirmed

shocking news, sanjayc ji,
This is not only unacceptable but also a very foolish thing to do
Even today, when a full blown crisis is on, WTF does the BSF leave parts of the beedi border with India unguarded and the beedis know that these parts of the border are left unguarded
What sort of internal security policy are we following .....

Re: Bangladesh News and Discussion
I have always maintained we need more boots on the ground (armed forces and police)
But there is always a clamour of pensions being a drain on the budget

Re: Bangladesh News and Discussion
BSF also needs Agnipath scheme for beefing up number of boots on the border. Just have an extra force of 15,000 Agniveers hired for 5 years. Put them on the BD border.
Re: Bangladesh News and Discussion
^ <OT> Yes, it could be one option. There is no shortage of unemployed youth, especially in the northern and eastern states.
Have a scheme (like the Agniveer) wherein they can serve for a few years, and post service they can be given preferential treatment for employment in public sector, public-private partnership sectors.
They will also be useful as reservists and for setting up village defense units.
A very recent study had shown that the agniveers had performed significantly better than regular recruits in the more technical courses of the military. Given that tech is going to play bigger and bigger role it is a no-brainer.
Also note that our country is hit by natural disasters every now and then. The armed forces, especially the army, has to do even rescue and rebuilding work. Heck even build railway over-bridges in the most cash rich city of Mumbai
We are going to need many veers in the future. Border states like WB, Assam,... Even non-border ones like Kerala to some extent where the police is compromised..
The regular armed forces have to be kept sharp and free for regular op-for at and across the borders

BD is already complaining that only Hindus are getting visas to India and not Muslims.
They are now working to replace their national anthem as Tagore is not acceptable. I am sure you have seen the video about breaking his (Tagore's)statue.
I have a feeling that the removal of Sheikh Hasina is ultimately good, as Indian does not have to pretend to be friendly and now can treat BD the same way as Pakistan.

We have to use this as a opportunity to get rid of the bangladeshi illegals on priority basis.
Re: Bangladesh News and Discussion
sanjayc ji,
The agniveers released by the army can be hired by the BSF.
There may already be such a provision/option for those who desire to join and are medically fit
One of the problems on the beedi border is the BSF itself.

Absolutely. Bengaluru, Kerala is infested with these specimens. Another thing that is common in Videshi land are BD restaurants pretending to be Indian fare or bengali food, with little words like halal prepended like the Pukes restaurant. Need to rid yourself of visiting such places for good.

Ah!!! I surely hope the beedis try this. Nothing would give us a better chance than this to take CHT and cut the head part off BD and secure the chicken neck. The chicken neck will become a muscular bull's neck and the NE people can wash their feet in the Bay of Bengal..
Re: Bangladesh News and Discussion
India at some point will need to carve out a Hindu(to mean all CAA covered religions) state from BD. We can only kick the can down the road (as our FM puts it) only so many times. Our hand will be forced. Better plan for it while there are still minorities left in BD.

There will be lot of pressure on Bharat unless we can make it a very short and sweet fait accompli before anybody wakes up.

Re: Bangladesh News and Discussion
It's clear that Yunus Government is illegal and is installed by US State department funds and entire operation is executed by ISI with social media support from US state department. And now we see that Hindus are being persecuted, raped and murdered by Islamists in BD.
Question is: if Indira Gandhi had guts to send Indian Army to Dhaka to tackle these Islamists head on, why is Modi and government are on the backfoot here? Why is Modi not sending Indian forces to Dhaka, re-install Hasina as the PM (she is the legitimate and elected leader, not the thug CIA hand-picked puppet Yunus) and provide military cover in Dhaka for for-seeable future.
US state department will keep creating troubles for India.. unless India stands up to this thuggery.
