https://x.com/vkthakur/status/1824054851124211750 ---> Improved Arrested Deck Landing System for INS Vikramaditya and INS Vikrant. Russia's Rostec State Corporation's Ruselectronics holding company has developed a system for carrier deck landing that reduces wear and tear of arrestor cables and increases pilot safety during landing. The equipment can be used on existing and under-construction Russian heavy aircraft-carrying cruisers, as well as the Indian aircraft carriers Vikramaditya and Vikrant. The system senses the touchdown speed of the aircraft and adjusts arrestor cable tension to minimise deceleration g load experienced by the pilot during the initial 2-3 seconds following touch down.

Still using the old dry dock? Hasn't the new one been operationalised?

Any chance INS Vikrant will enter dry dock for modification of structure to fit a larger lift before the Rafales arrive? In the meantime Navy will have only INS Vikramaditya.

Rafale M will be modified to fit inside INS Vikrant and not the other way around.

Installing larger lifts will involve opening up the vessel. This is neither inexpensive or uncomplicated.
