Seems like USAF is not doing flying demo of both F-35 & F-16 after recent Trump's orders.

https://x.com/writetake/status/1887500661006475344 ---> LCA AF Mk2 cockpit set to steal the show at Hall-D. At AeroIndia2025, Hall-D will be amongst the likely news-makers this time with a range of India's next-generation fighter models to be displayed in the ADA stall. A little bird tells TMH that a 1:1 scale model of AMCA; a 1:10 scale model of LCA AF Mk2 and a 1:4 scale model of TEDBF will be at the India Pavilion. And in HALL-D, a 1:3 scale model of LCA AF Mk2 and a 1:4 scale model of AMCA will be on display. The icing on the cake will be an advanced cockpit of LCA AF Mk2 with a large area display, side stick and wide angle HUD among other features intact. Hopefully, by Aero India 2027, we should see the LCA AF Mk2 at least on the static display area, if not flying!

LAD can be bit slanted to the back like that small display in the front.
And color theme is not researched well, even if it is lcd/led display, bad choice of color theme will not be eye friendly.

Last 3 yrs they hv only focused on making it work :)
But very naive about UX that could have been far better if they hv utilised right expertise in those 3 yrs.

They knew already that it is getting delayed by significant years but can't work on air intake design , bcoz it will delay rollout :)

Can we hope to see real hard interviews this time?
We only expect truth with disclaimers as applicable.
But definitely not man-maani on publicly giving timelines as they wish.

Yes its only a mock up, but the stealth basics look far superior than the Russian beast standing in the flight line.

What are AT4 anti-tank weapons that Saab delivered to Indian armed forces

Swedish aerospace and defense company Saab has completed the supply of man-portable, single-shot, fully disposable, anti-tank weapon AT4 to Indian armed forces.

The company was awarded the contract for the weapon in 2020.

The AT4 support weapons, which are fairly easy to use, will be used by both the Indian Army and Indian Air Force.

AT4 is optimised for ease of operation and offers maximum versatility and ease of use amongst the family of AT4 weapons, according to the company.

Major features of this anti-tank weapon include high fire-power and an effective range of 200–1,000 m.

"For any experience level, a dismounted soldier simply aims, fires and destroys the target before discarding the empty tube. AT4 is truly characterised by its ease of use and handling," a description of the weapon on the company website reads.

Meanwhile, the company also said it will showcase its Gripen E fighters; man-portable multi-role weapon system Carl-Gustaf M4; Next-Generation Light Anti-tank Weapon; the latest generation of Saab modular AUV system AUV62; the integrated, modular, active protection system Land Electronic Defence System (LEDS); and Integrated Defence Aids Suite (IDAS) at Aero India 2025, to be held from February 10 in Bengaluru.

The company said it will be showcasing the latest technologies which are changing defence and security planning, deployment and future force readiness at the event.

"Aero India 2025 comes at a crucial juncture of global developments, leading to a greater focus on defence capabilities as well as on developing self-reliance along with the need for robust and modern technology. We are fully committed to supporting the Indian government’s Atmanirbhar approach to national defence capability," the company said in a release.

Indranil Roy and Saurav Jha talk through Aero India display like IJT Sitara aircraft..

IJT Sitara aircraft was created in 3 yrs from concept by HAL. However it had issues with spin/stall scenario. So it was back to the drawing board. BTW, India does not have spin tunnel testing of aircraft, we had to go to Germany. BAE was roped in for consultancy, but their solution of adding weights at the wing tips was not a good solution. So the Indian designers thought through each aspect and redesigned the aircraft. During 2016 - 2019 the IJT Sitara was redesigned at the rear section to compensate for spin/stall scenario. The russki engine was tweeked to 16-17.6 KNewtons of thrust. Work with Russia to get 20 Knewton thrust is ongoing. India is working on its own HTFE 25 KNewton engine. The price of IJT Sitara is around 100 crores compared to the hawk which is 220 crores. Indian designers have come up with a great product, and having such capability to diagnose and fix issues is priceless. The instructor at the back has a great view over the pilot being trained. The avionics has been upgraded with good displays, which is supergood for young pilot trainers.

India has a winner product which can be exported to other nations, especially at its cost point.

This year appears to be exceptionally bad planning.
They are saying at the gate that they are not giving any passes, and the passes can be got online only.
And the website registration is broken for the last few days, it says payment failed ( no matter which payment method is used )
Don't know if I can get in tomorrow

My mind boggles over the production lines and how and when etc.... when we are just beginning to see the flicker of hope with Mk1A.

The Sitara is Yashas.

The flagship jet training aircraft of HAL, Hindustan Jet Trainer, HJT-36, is now renamed as ‘Yashas’ after extensive modifications to resolve departure characteristics & spin resistance throughout the aircraft envelope.
