Re: Operation Sindoor - Bharat Strikes Back: Jai Hind!
So is it a Bandar that has been shot down or an F16?

https://x.com/manupubby/status/1919878689241673835 ---> In the multiple, stand off precision strikes on terror infra in Pakistan - both the Indian Army and Air Force were involved.

https://x.com/Platypuss_10/status/1919883499961516201 ---> News coming in! A jet has crashed in Indian territory near Akhnoor sector J&K and most likely a JF-17 Block-3 aircraft. We matched the engine wreckage, with the RD-93 engine that JF-17 flies. Stunning victory for Indian forces! More photos to emerge this morning.Ardeshir wrote: ↑07 May 2025 04:23 So is it a Bandar that has been shot down or an F16?

India Today confirming Scalp & Hammer used.
Looks like JF-17 is down.
The Indian Navy was also involved in today’s missile strikes on Pak terror targets. Navy likely deployed loitering munitions.

https://x.com/manupubby/status/1919878689241673835 ---> Precision strike weapons from the Army, Navy and Air Force were used. Indian assets did not cross the border, nor did they need to. Give long range strike capabilities acquired over the past six years. The Navy, in particular, took a very strong view on the Pahalgam attack.

The coordinates for the attacks on terrorist camps inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir were provided by the intelligence agencies. The attacks were carried out from Indian soil only: Sources to ANI

Dont worry, it just started. More will happen.
Re: Operation Sindoor - Bharat Strikes Back: Jai Hind!
Wish we used Tejas for all the strikes or even Bisons. Would have given a clear message about our bench strength.

Re: Operation Sindoor - Bharat Strikes Back: Jai Hind!
Bearded casualties don’t seem significant…people seemed quite casual at the struck places…
Re: Operation Sindoor - Bharat Strikes Back: Jai Hind!
Sounds like 4 missiles per target. D Company included
Re: Operation Sindoor - Bharat Strikes Back: Jai Hind!
Rakesh Garu. True. but thats the whole point of our new offensive defense rhetoric. Why wait for Pak retaliation? Pahalgham was a reason big enough to strike the terror roots. merely shaking tree and expecting leaves to fall is our age old game, Hope there are more ops to come in the next few days. I wish Modi had made a statement: Pahalgham will be the last terror attack on our soil. But it takes a lot of conviction and nation wide support to do that.
Re: Operation Sindoor - Bharat Strikes Back: Jai Hind!
^^^
What if Pak Fauj folds and doesn't do a retaliation, claiming they are showing restraint to maintain world peace. They will live to fight for another day and that will put us back at square 1.

Like I said, only 2 choices now. Take cover under moral high ground or let the inner jihadi free. Munirs last call
Re: Operation Sindoor - Bharat Strikes Back: Jai Hind!
Yeah Pakis need to be punished more. But let us see their reaction is probably Indian thought.

Am surprised if we claim to have gamed everything no blackouts or similar steps announced. Hope we don’t end up surprised like the scenario last time. The snakes will slither into an area we least expect
Re: Operation Sindoor - Bharat Strikes Back: Jai Hind!
I do not believe they have this option. Instead of Indus river waters, missiles are coming their way. Damned if they do, Damned if they dont. They will retaliate and then the real hits will start.
Re: Operation Sindoor - Bharat Strikes Back: Jai Hind!
Heavy shelling by Pakis in the border.

Re: Operation Sindoor - Bharat Strikes Back: Jai Hind!
The media are saying it was a three forces operation, Army, Air Force, Navy. How did the Navy contribute to hitting targets so far inland? Or were naval aircraft also used?

Re: Operation Sindoor - Bharat Strikes Back: Jai Hind!
What's the Paki endgame here? Heavy shelling to what end? Surely these beggars can't afford to keep shelling this way.
Re: Operation Sindoor - Bharat Strikes Back: Jai Hind!
Both. india is responding heavily. In fact silencing the the borders is what one of the channels are reporting. A lot of details in the fog of war.

Re: Operation Sindoor - Bharat Strikes Back: Jai Hind!
Per reports : US National Security Advisor and Secretary of State Marco Rubio speaks with Pakistan NSA and ISI Chief Lt. Gen. Asim Malik on India’s attack against Pakistani terror infrastructure. Rubio was briefed by Ajit Doval. (India briefed US, UK, Russia, UAE and Saudis)
Re: Operation Sindoor - Bharat Strikes Back: Jai Hind!
Not sure what to make of this from Indian side.
"Our actions have been focused, measured and non-escalatory in nature," India’s Defense Ministry said in a statement. "No Pakistan military facilities have been targeted."

Re: Operation Sindoor - Bharat Strikes Back: Jai Hind!
To all members complaining that "this is not enough, we should have attacked the Paki military" : please be patient. Modi and Doval have no doubt planned for that too, they just have to wait for the Pakis to launch military strikes into India (in order to justify a full military response by India). Whether we like it or not, world opinion counts, in these matters. India has played this beautifully so far -- important supporters / friends (US / Russia / France / UAE / Saudi / African Union etc.) can still give India their full diplomatic and political backing, with a clear conscience.
Given the news about the PAF fighter shot down in J&K, it looks like Pakis have already started playing into our hands. Let's keep watching and see what they do.

Remember we are also trying to be part of the new supply chains, hence we can’t be seen as reckless (unfortunately) should the Bakis internally and externally get any ideas. so hopefully this ladder is planned accordingly
Re: Operation Sindoor - Bharat Strikes Back: Jai Hind!
Bloomberg is reporting paki claims that they shot down 5 IAF planes and have taken some IA soldiers as prisoners. If true then things have escalated.

Question - given what little we know at the moment, nevertheless, some weaknesses in Pakistani defense may be evident. Any gurus want to give jnana?

Same in most of western media… almost on cue as if they knew immediately (ha!) … if Indian planes were inside how can they be shot ?

If I may, the constraints on India are more difficult than those to get rid of Hiranyakashipu.S_Madhukar wrote: ↑07 May 2025 05:37 Remember we are also trying to be part of the new supply chains, hence we can’t be seen as reckless (unfortunately) should the Bakis internally and externally get any ideas. so hopefully this ladder is planned accordingly
