Understanding the US - Again

I concur. I was looking to see if there is an escalator/ladder but so far only China seem to have been on it
And they don't seem to have done badly... considering they have the testimonials firmly in their grasp

Point to ponder?
The complex geopolitics of the 1930s and early 1940s, marked by shifting alliances like the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, ultimately leading to the Yalta Conference, a turning point in shaping the post-WWII world order.

He is one of the many "rent a gora" hired by Khalikhopdis and Pakis. Remember there was a former retail security guard who was hired by Pakis in the US and he "authored" dozens of no-name books, all criticizing India and calling for its balkanization? This guy is similar! These sadakchaps are hired for their nationality and the color of their skin, a narrative is built (books, blogs, invitation to ISI sponsored conferences etc), and then they are given a loudspeaker and an amplifier on social media. Ignore and move on.

Why the Supreme Court may not side with Trump over tariffs
President Trump wants the Supreme Court to decide whether he can use the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) to enact his sweeping tariff policy. This comes after a federal appeals court ruled that the tariffs were illegal.

https://x.com/GabeZZOZZ/status/1963507902427128077 ---> As a European, I find the U.S. to be a greater threat to Europe than Russia or China.
Who destabilized the Middle East and flooded Europe with refugees?
The USA
Who destabilized Libya and orchestrated Gaddafi’s death, which led to a flood of African migrants into Europe?
The USA
Who orchestrated a regime change in Ukraine, leading to the slaughter of thousands of ethnic Russians in Donbass and triggering this war?
The USA
Who blew up the Nord Stream pipeline and is now forcing Europe to buy overpriced American LNG?
Victoria Nuland and Biden were talking about “taking care” of the Nord Stream pipeline even before Putin sent troops into Ukraine.
What exactly does Europe gain from its relationship with the U.S.?
Safety? Security?
We were far safer before the U.S. began dropping bombs in the Middle East and dragging us into their wars.
I’m certain many Europeans share this view.

How does US economy work?
They give funds to some XX country which is stuck in some war. That country uses that money to buy arms from US. US will add these numbers to their GDP?
Also they have WB, IMF and such XYZ orgs giving $ to other countries. These countries ending up buying things from US. This will also add up to their GDP numbers.
Local man confused. Some one please explain this situation.

US foreign aid does not contribute to US economy directly in any influential way. On an average US spends between $10b-$15b on foreign aid which includes, direct/indirect, and military/non-military assistance. For a nation whose economy is more than $28Trillion this makes it less than 0.054% of their economy, which is very negligible.syam wrote: ↑05 Sep 2025 21:12 How does US economy work?

the foreign aid is almost always an enabler for American companies and state : oil., natural resources, market for American weapons, political leverage / regime change etc .. it is 10x value [ conservative., if you take Iraq, it is 100x ] returnJay wrote: ↑06 Sep 2025 00:06US foreign aid does not contribute to US economy directly in any influential way. AI says: “The events known as the Revolution of Dignity in 2014, which saw the ousting of President Viktor Yanukovych, are conflated with Russian-backed false claims of "massacres" and "genocide" in the Donbas to justify military intervention. While the conflict in the Donbas has caused significant civilian casualties since 2014, allegations of Ukrainian-committed massacres or genocide have been widely rejected by international bodies and experts. ”
Re: Understanding the US - Again
This needs further examination because AI says:
Similarly the European Union insisted on a military pact with Ukraine over and above economic integration, which upset Russia.Led by European powers: The UK and France were key proponents of military intervention in 2011, pressuring a reluctant U.S. to support the operation.
Motivations: France and the UK pushed for a "no-fly zone," arguing that it was necessary to prevent a massacre of civilians in Benghazi by forces loyal to Muammar Gaddafi. Other factors may have influenced European powers, including access to oil, concern over migration flows, and seizing French investments.
NATO involvement: While the European Union remained politically divided, NATO took charge of enforcing the arms embargo and the no-fly zone in March 2011 through Operation Unified Protector.
Re: Understanding the US - Again
https://newlinesmag.com/review/how-obam ... -in-libya/
Familiar with Obama’s anti-interventionist instincts and as a participant in inter-agency deliberations about what to do, I initially detected little appetite among top administration officials for military action in Libya. But I also recall going down to the State Department gym for a late-evening workout that second week of March, seeing a parade of politicians and commentators on CNN calling for U.S. military action and realizing that the pressure to act militarily was only going to grow.
Even Donald Trump, before anyone had any idea his views might one day matter to anyone, joined the bandwagon. Trump would later call the Libya intervention a “disaster” and deny ever having called for it; in fact, he argued passionately in favor of it and promised it would be “very easy and very quick” at the time.
The administration itself was divided, with younger, more idealistic advisers arguing for assertive U.S. action, while some more senior officials remained cautious. Advocates of action, such as close Obama advisers Ben Rhodes, Samantha Power, and Susan Rice, believed the U.S. had to act to protect Libyans from a violent dictator, prevent likely atrocities, and deter other dictators from repressing their own people with violence.
On the other side of the argument were senior cabinet officials like Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, who seemed to be thinking more about the costly precedents of Iraq and Afghanistan than about Bosnia or Rwanda. Biden argued that military action would create a political vacuum that would be difficult to fill, worried not just about the “day after” but the “decade after.” Gates was even more skeptical of military action, asserting in a speech on Feb. 25 that any future defense secretary proposing “to again send a big American land army into Asia or into the Middle East or Africa” needed to “have his head examined.” Somewhere in the middle of the two camps was Clinton, who was initially more skeptical of intervention than many later press portrayals of her as an instinctive hawk.
The Europeans also played a pivotal role, in particular at the G-8 foreign ministers meeting hosted by the French. With Washington still deliberating, several European foreign ministers made passionate appeals for U.S. leadership and military action. Less than a decade after the beginning of the Iraq War, it was unusual to say the least to watch Europeans — led by the French and the Italians — lecture a U.S. secretary of state about the costs of inaction and the compelling need to use military force in the Middle East.

EU are playing a diabolical game in my view
They are deliberately getting Unkil into wars that they don’t want to fight by massaging the Yankee ego
Imagine the howling and outrage if the body bags are counted in Europe instead of USA
And at the same time they are making deals with Chinese Indians and Russians
They keep their population happy with the social security with all the loot they can mop up

from that stephen miran read up, i found this apalling gem
wants other countries to pay the USA money for making profit off of USA for selling to USA the goods it cannot make economically
increase imports from america even if it means paying more
buy american made defence goods no matter the cost so subsidize the US's own defence MIC
and lastly - pay money to the local goonda so he can keep the peace in the world that he himself would threaten to break if not paid.
wait..this reminds of a cult of people that have this codified into a book that they swear is the way of life to live on earth.
so, in effect, US, for being the generous provider of a "reserve currency" ( a printing press)
- First, other nations could accept higher tariffs on their exports to the US, generating revenue for the Treasury.
- Second, they could stop unfair practices and increase imports from America.
- Third, they should raise their defense budgets, especially through US-made procurement.
- Fourth, investing in U.S.-based manufacturing would offer them tariff exemptions.
- Lastly, countries could directly “write checks to Treasury” to help fund America’s role in maintaining global stability.

Their 30T $ economy may collapse if they don't generate the transaction receipts every year. It doesn't matter which way the $ reaches their account book.
It's probably basket case at this stage. That's why MAGAtards had to resort to these mafia tactics.
Imagine if they are in good position like they were used to be in their earlier 90s. Would they have resorted to same tactics when dealing with their allies?

Just this evening, Trump said from the former Rose Garden in the White House, that $17 trillion dollars will be invested in the US in the next few months.
Does anyone believe any of that?

Re: Understanding the US - Again
The whole thing is a scam because Trumps word or treaties have no meaning. He tears up treaties he himself signed and unilaterally walks out on them to get a better deal. There is no guarantee that even after getting 0% or 10% tariff there wont be a shakedown 1 year later on another made up pretext.
