On these various IIT Professors and their statements. My understanding was that when originally formed IIT was only meant for technical education with the teaching staff being good techologists or technocrats and experts in their scientific field. It was much later that the "humanities" branches which got introduced so that the leftist cabal can be brought in as teachers. These leeches would also misappropriate the greatness of the earlier "IIT Professors" as they were recognised for their brilliance. "Humanities" education in India is a disaster, and many states like Kerala now have a large population tagged as "unemployable graduates". The majority of such people hold BA,MA, P.Hd in humanities subjects.

Cross posting from Modi 3.0
Opinion: IITs Must Advance Technology, Not Become Battlegrounds For Ideological Wars
https://www.news18.com/opinion/opinion- ... 76227.html

This is a time for course-correction. It should start from mandatory funding disclosures from foreign and local NGOs everywhere. The next step could be to acknowledge the issue of nepotism and implement the strict Conflict of Interest policies. For continued funding, some research output is required from humanities departments of IITs, IISERs, and NITs and these research outputs should align with the raison d’être of the technological institutes.

If humanities are such important subjects, the government would be better off by opening Indian Institute of Humanities rather than opening them under the label of IITs. Yes, some subjects of humanities need to be taught to engineering students as we need engineers with humanistic approach. However, for that purpose, contractual job or some permanent jobs under the existing departments will definitely work. IITs must remember that their strength lies in advancing technology, not in becoming battlegrounds for ideological wars.

Jammu & Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) terrorist Yasin Malik, serving a life sentence in a terror-funding case, has made a shocking claim.

In an affidavit filed in the Delhi High Court on August 25, Malik says:

•He met Lashkar-e-Taiba founder and 26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed in Pakistan in 2006.
•The meeting was not his independent initiative but was arranged at the request of senior Indian intelligence officials as part of a back-channel peace process.
•After the meeting, then-PM Manmohan Singh personally thanked and expressed gratitude to him.

Yasin Malik is a hardened terrorist who is guilty of gunning down three Air Force personnel in uniform. This amounts to waging war against the state and he must be subjected to the full force of the law.

If these new claims are true, they raise grave questions about the UPA’s handling of national security and back-channel diplomacy.

REALLY! COURTS WILL DECIDE ON RELIGIOUS CHARACTER OF HINDU FESTIVALS?

From places of worship, Hindus reduced to getting religious compliance certificates for their festivals?
What a distortion of secularism!

Maoists Offer to Surrender Ahead of 2026 Deadline | Vantage With Palki Sharma | N18G

Maoists have offered to lay down their arms and begin peace talks in a newly published letter in Chhattisgarh. Security officials are checking the "veracity" of the offer, which comes months after the group's chief was killed in an operation. Does this mark the end of "Red Terror" in India? How is India's fight against Maoists unfolding? Palki Sharma tells you.

A Disturbing Blow to Justice: The SC’s Suspension of Father Edwin Pigarez’s Sentence
https://goachronicle.com/a-disturbing-b ... -sentence/

Chief Justice B.R. Gavai and his Bench must introspect on whether justice was served or subverted. More importantly, society must ask: what kind of India are we building if the guardians of justice themselves falter when it comes to protecting our children?

The outrage this decision has sparked is justified. It is not born of emotion alone, but of a deep, rational fear—that the walls of justice, already weak, may crumble completely if such precedents become the norm.

India must decide: are we a nation that protects its children, or are we a nation that protects its predators?

At this moment, tragically, the scales appear tilted towards the latter.

To add insult to injury. This woman's original book was in Kannada. The award was for the English translation done by another Hindu lady. She is not invited for the Dusserah event at all.
From places of worship, Hindus reduced to getting religious compliance certificates for their festivals?
Supreme Court has also declined to hear the appeal. So Dusserah celebrations would be in full "secular" mode this time around.
Ex-SC judge Rohinton Nariman says calling Akbar a TYRANT violates FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT
He is an Ex-SC judge so now has very limited powers. But this exposes the mind set of people sitting in the higher echelons of the judiciary. From my basic understanding of law, a person considering another person (that too a dead bloke) is not a violation of any fundamental right.

What do Hindus expect by voting a Christian (with entire family into missionary activities) to rule over them? They have no shatru-bodh, or IQ is not high. Don't they have any idea of what monotheists think about idolators?

JKLF terrorist Yasin Malik has said that former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh personally thanked & expressed gratitude to him after he met Lashkar-e-Taiba founder & 26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed in Pakistan in 2006.
Exclusive story :

in his affidavit, Malik described how Saeed organised a gathering of jihadist groups, where the former delivered a speech, urging terrorists to embrace peace.

Turns out, it’s worse than I thought. The matter was taken up in front of Judge Aravind Kumar and Manmohan. Sibal’s briefing counsel merely informed that Sibal is appearing in the matter. Manmohan knew that he doesn’t appear in front of him because he used to be Sibal’s junior so he adjourned the case. Now the CJI will decide who heard the case.

Judge Aravind Kumar had delivered a verdict where he said that in UAPA cases, jail is the norm and bail is the exception. This looks like another forum hunting spree by Kapil Sibal.

Had someone advocated writing about the good deeds of Adolf Hitler in Germany or Poland, he would have been put in jail for a long time.

But this is India, where a retired judge of the Supreme Court in the name of freedom is advocating for the appraisal of dacoit Mughals who massacred thousands.
