American found dead in Dhaka’s Westin Hotel was a US Special Forces Command (Airborne) officer
LinkedIn page of Terrence Arvelle Jackson, 50, says that he had experience of over 20 years and took part in multiple combat deployments across the Asia theatre

The US Army officer whose body was found in a room in Dhaka’s Westin Hotel on August 31 was a Command Inspector General for 1 Special Forces Command (Airborne) and had plans to retire in the next two years, Northeast News has found.

Terrence Arvelle Jackson was found dead in his Westin Hotel room on August 31 but the US embassy in Dhaka was reluctant to disclose much about his army background.

Manish ji,

consider these points.

Very experienced special forces operative and successful in his job. he would have known a trick or two that the others operatives may not know so he would have been more alert

he is deployed in hostile territory, strange surroundings, strange room, whatever, so he would have taken some precautions to secure himself and his personal space from attack or even disturbance

he died from natural causes, or one of his own kind did him in by letting in some eyeraaniaan to temper the dish, and finish with the tadka

the beedis simply do not have the testimonials to take out an amriki, in beediland

They are good only for hallaling their own kind

Bangladesh apparel exports to India increase.
https://en.prothomalo.com/business/local/hqe2v8sp39

This growth comes at a time when, due to restrictions, apparel exports to India are allowed only through Chittagong port.
….
Data from the National Board of Revenue (NBR) show that in August, two and a half months after the restrictions being imposed, Bangladesh exported apparel worth USD 80.6 million (USD 8.06 crore) to India.

During the same month last year, the figure was USD 69.2 million (USD 6.92 crore). This marks nearly 16.5 per cent growth in apparel exports.

According to NBR figures, in the three months (June–August) after the ban being imposed, Bangladesh exported apparel worth USD 183.5 million (USD 18.35 crore) to India, compared to USD 159.1 million (USD 15.91 crore) during the same quarter last year.

jihadi hyenas don't change their spots, A_Gupta ji, especially not the vicious j@@m@t variety. Just saying onlee

we also have "news" printed in the paper run by the mount road mao, or in India today, or the toilet, and they are all agenda driven.

Anyway, the beedis seemed to have completely wiped clean any and all traces of their history in 1971, eliminating completely the role, sacrifices, and the pivotal contributions made by India from their new jihadi narrative of sharia compliant history, and mirroring the pakis, they will force feed their school kids with this poison and fill them with anti India hatred

This particular taqiya needs deciding. For those who did not follow the link, it begins thus:
Following the decisions of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, the leaders of Islami Chhatra Shibir, who won in the DUCSU (Dhaka University Central Students’ Union) elections, offered prayers at the Martyred Intellectuals’ Memorial in the capital’s Rayerbazar on Thursday morning.

Islami Chhatra Shibir is the student wing of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.

It was the first time since the Liberation War of 1971 that any Jamaat-affiliated organisation had visited the memorial.
Note: they won student union elections.

Note: there was an actual action taken, supposedly the first time since 1971.

Putting aside the quality of news media and their agenda, there are two facts (win in election, visit to memorial , and some extra which may be factual - following a JeI decision, first time since 1971), which anyone who wants to intelligently follow Bangladesh needs to know. Which is why I posted it.

very true, A_Gupta ji.

Bangladesh to export 1,200 tonnes of hilsa to India, half of last year's quota

Bangladesh has traditionally permitted limited shipments of hilsa — the most sought-after fish during Durga Puja — mainly to West Bengal, where demand soars during the festive season.

https://www.indiatoday.in/india/story/b ... 2025-09-08

Something seems to be happening sub rosa.

Their crass anti India rhetoric also seems to have changed and is much toned down

The seemingly, now stalled regime change scenario may have set the cat among the the beedi pigeons and youanus's fast diminishing popularity has left him without many supporters, even as his once energetic backers recede further into the shadows leaving him adrift in choppy geopolitical waters.

But, we have our own huge garment industries to care for, hence the logic of allowing increased beedi garment exports to India escapes me

AI Summary:
Sheikh Hasina's most recent visit to China took place from July 8 to July 10, 2024, at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang. The visit was notably cut short by a day, which sparked widespread speculation about diplomatic tensions and unmet financial expectations.

Key events of the 2024 visit:

Elevated relations: During the visit, the two nations elevated their "strategic partnership" to a "comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership".
Agreements signed: Bangladesh and China signed more than 20 agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) related to trade, investment, digital economy, infrastructure, and people-to-people connectivity.

Financial aid issues: Prior to the visit, there were reports that China might offer a substantial loan package of around $5 billion. However, sources reported that the actual offer was much smaller, leading to disappointment from the Bangladeshi side.

Abrupt departure: Hasina returned to Dhaka a day earlier than scheduled. While the official reason cited was her daughter's health, multiple news outlets suggested she was "upset" with the outcome of the trip, particularly the limited financial commitments and a perceived lack of appropriate protocol.
Hasina's prior visit to China occurred in July 2019.

SRajesh ji,

That's where the civilizational, cultural, and the dharmic doctrines of Svayambodha and Shatrubodha would ideally come into play.

The Hindu consciousness is built upon the wisdom to differentiate between dharma and adharma, it is the concept that inculcates in you a clear discerning power that not only enlightens, but also allows one to recognize situations that lead to one's decay and ultimately the destruction of the fabric of Hindu society

In the simplest terms:

Svayambodha means understanding of our own self and where our centre lies (which helps one to discover as to who one is and who one is not).

Shatrubodha means the intellectual and strategic skill to identify existential threats and, the understanding of our boundaries

If we do not understand our boundaries, then how do we know that someone is encroaching upon our geopolitical space, ideology, strategic, economic and national interests, and they could be plotting to harm us.

Sadly, our civilization does not does not pay heed to Shatrubodha, hence we wind up, having needlessly given an advantage to an enemy who would never ever extend/reciprocate a similar courtesy

Hence the blood tainted trade with people who have always butchered the Hindus and continue to do so even today

Some bong media is rife with news about the Unkil's special op commandos landing in Hilly Chittagong district. About 100 of them have taken over the Cox Bazar Raddisson Blu hotel. Saint Martin island has been made a 'no-go' zone for the locals. Jamaat elements have been seen with the Unkil's Pacific command bosses in Cox Bazar Raddisson Blu hotel - having meals together. Unkil has taken a total control of Beediland forces, and in the garb of
joint operational training called "tiger shark' they are practicing para dropping in the Rakhine province and helping the Arakan army.
The grapevine says that the ultimate plan is to carve out a piece of land and set up a vassal state like East Timor (or the failed Tamil Elam).
Unkil eventually wants to shake hand with Kachin rebels and take full control of the rare earth minerals of Burma, thereby lessening dependence on PRC. The guy who was found dead in Dhaka Westin hotel was there for the last five months, checked-in as a 'businessman', and was visiting Chittagong - meeting many characters. Upon his demise, personnel from the unkil's embassy came very hurriedly, and bundled up his body and took it away without any beediland formal police formality.

Concerns for India:

Why was a US Special Forces officer, trained in psy-ops & info warfare, operating in Dhaka, our neighbourhood?

• Ties with Bangladesh already uneasy.

• Past: videos of US soldiers training in BD, reports of Westerners distributing weapons in NE India.

Why would Unkil SF— if siding with the Jamaatis— help the Arakan Army? AA is anti-Rohingya and some even claim (given its maneuvering to threaten SE Bangladesh shortly after the coup) that it is a long arm of RAA in the region.

True, Chetak-Sir.

It has been discussed that his LinkedIn page had all the details. So many people are questioning if he had been sent on a mission then why would he gave away all the details. To that question, some are saying that he probably got recruited by some other party with a fatter paycheck. Anyway, the whole thing is very murky.

Coming back to another neighboring country - Nepal. Several years ago had a very heart to heart discussion with a person close to that country's higher-ups. Obviously I expressed indignation as why that country was leaning too much to Eleven's land when it has had cultural and religious connection with Bharat for millennia. ... Anyway, to cut the long story short - he mentioned in so many words - "just wait a few years (not to worry about Eleven's generous gestures), the country would be taken over by unkil". Not sure if people have noticed or not - over the last few years unkil let the floodgate open to allow students from Nepal to flood the US colleges and universities. Apparently they didn't face much visa scrutiny at all, even though many actually struggle/struggled in the US universities as they came with shoddy academic backgrounds. ... The same thing happened with Beediland as well. In the last five-six years, beedi students have flooded the US schools. A sample of a few hundred such beedi students have revealed that they are rabidly Jamaat / BNP elements - not a single AL element. .....

We need to connect the dots now.

Rudradev ji

As India's neighborhood burns, a closer look suggests that these protests may broach the involvement of a shadowy foreign forces.

1. One must recognise that Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka were tilting towards China.

2. In Bangladesh, refusal of a base to US had led to the "uprising".

3. Christian missionaries are involved.
Effort to convert Hindu population of Nepal was reported. In Bangladesh, creation of a Christian country out of India, Bangladesh and Myanmar, was proposed.
Kuki uprising in Indian Manipur, is linked to such endevors of American CIA.

4. Pakistan is into a deep relationship, business and military, with China.
Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan had also talked of US pressure. Imran Khan landed in jail, after refusing US.

5. Post uprising, the new leadership that takes charge are usually

a. handpicked by the US, e.g. Yunus in Bangladesh

b. unelected or unelectable

c. lack any political acumen and experience, and

d. pliable to machinations of foreign diktats.

A case in point, at this time US Special Ops forces are present in Bangladesh.

Officially, Americans are helping Bangladesh with refugee crisis, and also for drills and surveillance

The Americans were earlier looking for a "humanitarian corridor" from beediland into myanmar, an idea that was shot down firmly by the beedi army chief. (BTW, this corridor was first "proposed" by the UN, just to keep the Americans in the shadows)

Actually, Americans are trying to secure rare earth resources in Myanmar that were exploited by China.

Naming India and Myanmar as drug trafficking routes is basically the US giving itself a justification for waging a war in Myanmar

There will be a major play for India's NE states to form what the goras want, an abrahamic state contiguous with India's vulnerable border, using the very same east timor tactics to wrest huge tracts of land away from India. The beedis are also on the sacrificial altar

Currently these guys have the chicken neck covered from three sides.

that horny old goat and reprobate, neverwho is solely responsible for pissing away the NE

That is why they want a genz type uprising and regime change in India, so as to keep both the Indian Armed forces, as well as, India's nukes out of play.

Once India has been neutered once again, subjugated and brought firmly under gora control like in the ye olde colonial days of the empire, they will begin the serious business of resource extraction without such a strong nationalist govt in place, to balkanize India on caste and sectarian lines, flooding the country with beedis, rohinghiyas and other such dregs from the NE

They will drown India in her own blood and suffocate her, just to make sure that the Hindu is forever defanged, never ever to rise again

This is why the Commander's conference that was held recently, was conducted, for the very first time, specifically in kolkata.

A clear and unmistakable warning has been sent by Modi ji

No Pacific Angel with India because India does Tiger Triumph.

“India conducts numerous exercises with forces from countries involved with the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM), with the most prominent being the quadrilateral naval exercise Malabar, and the joint humanitarian assistance/disaster relief exercise Tiger Triumph. Other exercises include the air force training exercise Cope India and the bilateral army exercise Yudh Abhyas.”

Last time Bangladesh had a Pacific Angel exercise seems to be 2019:

India participated in Pacific Angel 2025-1 in Sri Lanka.

Not saying there is no hanky-panky going on under the cover of this operation. Just saying, at least collect the open source information available before making a theory.

Key points to look for - what is different/additional in this exercise compared to all its other instances? E.g., 2025-1 in Sri Lanka where India also participated.

So far not able to find details of 2019 Bangladesh op which also was in a sensitive area.

Read carefully

why does the US need to conduct joint exercises with the beedi armed forces

who is the enemy, where is the threat coming from

what are these two preparing for, and for how long has this been going on

By U.S. Embassy Dhaka

July 20, 2025
The Armed Forces of Bangladesh and the United States military will continue their longstanding partnership this summer through three joint exercises and the delivery of a new capability that will reinforce our common security interests. These efforts help to make the United States and Bangladesh stronger, and the region safer.

Exercise Tiger Lightning:  For the fourth year in a row, the Bangladesh Army and U.S. Army Pacific will conduct Exercise Tiger Lightning.  Through realistic training, our soldiers will develop readiness for counterterrorism, peacekeeping, jungle operations, medical evacuations and countering improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

Exercise Tiger Shark 2025: Tiger Shark (part of the Flash Bengal series) is a joint training exercise where our two countries’ Special Forces practice combat tasks.  The exercise, ongoing since 2009, will feature patrol boat handling and small arms marksmanship that will strengthen Bangladesh’s Special Warfare Diving and Salvage and the Para Commando Brigade ability to respond to crises.   One of the highlights of this combined exercise is the use of U.S. equipment by both countries.

Exercise Pacific Angel:  This will be the fourth iteration of Pacific Angel with Bangladesh.  It will highlight one of the hallmarks of our defense relationship, our C-130 fleets, which are critical in disaster response airdrops and air mobility operations.  The exercise also focuses on Search and Rescue (SAR) and Aeromedical operations further developing Bangladesh’s ability to respond to humanitarian disasters.

RQ-21 Program Launch:  The United States is working with Bangladesh’s Army and Navy to develop an Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) capability for Bangladesh.  A Bangladesh Regiment comprised of Army and Navy personnel will operate the new RQ-21 Blackjack system.  This joint effort will enable Bangladesh to monitor its maritime domain, secure its borders, and conduct peacekeeping missions.
