AI tells me:
The most accurate estimate of Pakistan’s population in 2025 is around 255–258 million people. Different authoritative sources (UN, World Bank, Worldometer, Georank) give slightly varying figures, so the realistic margin of error is about ±3 million.
I was wondering if Pakistan overstates its population so that it is the country with the largest Muslim population; and that would correspondingly make its per capita figures look bad; but it seems I'm wondering wrong.
