Al Jazeera reports:
Pakistan’s Punjab police kill 900 people in eight months: What’s going on?
Human rights report alleges record extrajudicial killings by Punjab’s police unit set up to combat organised crime.

https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2026/2/1 ... s-going-on
....an explosive HRCP fact-finding report, published on February 17, which concludes that Punjab’s Crime Control Department (CCD) is pursuing what it calls “a systemic policy of extrajudicial killing in contravention of the law and Constitution”.

The HRCP documented at least 670 “encounters”, resulting in 924 suspected deaths between April 2025, when the unit was formed, and December 2025.
....
By comparison, HRCP’s annual report for 2024 recorded 341 suspects killed in encounters across Punjab and Sindh combined over the entire year. The CCD, operating in a single province, more than doubled that toll in less than eight months.

Anyone well versed with Pakistani legal system expalin this :
I read that inheritance laws in Pakistan are based on faith and religion.
To muslim it follows the Quranic/shariah laws on inheritance.
But for Hindus and Chritians it more what we have:
Meaing sons and daughters recevie equal inheritance.
Also now reports emerging that abduction, marriage and forced conversion of non-muslim girls especially in rural areas is more to do with the land and property??
An abducted girl (hindu or Christian) carries a huge dowry if they have lands or property, as she is entitled to inherit equal share in the estate!
So in. rural areas hindus and christians are a fair game.
Is this true??

Best I can tell, if the abducted girl is converted to Islam, her Hindu inheritance rights lapse. They have to keep her as Hindu in order that she inherit her share from her parents.

Pakistan has cut ties with lobbying firms in Washington DC
https://youtu.be/fmUwVEzPRJs?si=Gw016tl0J2_7IhyS

Description: Months after undertaking a lobbying blitz in Washington DC in an effort to reach the Trump administration, Pakistan has cut ties with a number of elite lobbying firms. This comes after several of these firms claimed credit for securing a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir. Pakistan now spends less than India on lobbying in Washington. In this episode of HT Explained, Shashank Mattoo unpacks Pakistan's lobbying in the US before and after the Pahalgam terror attacks and Operation Sindoor as well as the reasons behind this sudden change.

The Hindustan Times reports, using unnamed sources:

Delhi on high alert over LeT's terror plan to 'avenge' Pak mosque blast, temple near Red Fort on hitlist

Sources reportedly indicated that the outfit is allegedly seeking to avenge a February 6 blast at a mosque in Islamabad, Pakistan.

https://www.hindustantimes.com/india-ne ... 54914.html
A terror alert has reportedly been sounded for Delhi over threat of attack plans by Pakistan-based terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) targeting religious places, particularly a temple near Red Fort, to “avenge” a recent blast in Islamabad.

At least two senior Delhi Police officers, who asked not to be identified, told HT that the first set of inputs regarding terror attacks by LeT in Delhi, especially at religious places, were received before the Republic Day celebrations. Accordingly, high alert was sounded across the city and security arrangements in and around religious establishments were increased. The first meeting of special cell officers happened around the time the terror attack alerts were received, planning the security apparatus and other anti-terror measures to tackle possible attacks.

The officers said that similar terror attack threat inputs were received after the February 6 suicide bombing attack in a Shia mosque in Pakistan’s Islamabad that claimed at least 31 people and left dozens injured.

Meanwhile, specific intelligence inputs, reported by ANI and PTI news agencies on Saturday, suggested that the group may be plotting an improvised explosive device (IED) attack and that a temple in the Chandni Chowk area could be a potential target.

'They bombed our civilian compatriots': 'Dozens' killed after Pakistan conducts airstrikes in Afghanistan - ToI
Afghanistan said Sunday that “dozens” of people were killed and wounded after Pakistan carried out airstrikes in eastern border provinces, in one of the deadliest recent escalations between the two countries.

Government spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid in a post on X said, “Last night, they bombed our civilian compatriots in Nangarhar and Paktika provinces, martyring and wounding dozens of people, including women and children.

Afghanistan’s Tolo News reported that the Pakistani army targeted a civilian house in Behsud district of Nangarhar province, leaving 23 members of a family buried under rubble. Only four people had been pulled out so far, the report said.

The broadcaster, as quoted by ANI, also reported that the Pakistani Air Force struck a religious seminary in Bermal district of Paktika province and carried out multiple airstrikes in Khogyani district of Nangarhar.

Pakistan conducted strikes in Bermal and Argun districts of Paktika, as well as in Khogyani, Bahsod and Ghani Khel districts of Nangarhar since Saturday.

Islamabad confirmed the cross-border strikes, saying they targeted militant groups it blames for recent suicide attacks inside Pakistan.

Pakistani media outlets also reported that the airstrikes focused on alleged militant camps along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

Geo News, citing Pakistan’s Ministry of Information, reported that seven camps and hideouts of Fitna al Khwarij (FAK), its affiliates and Daesh Khorasan Province (DKP) were hit. The ministry said the action was conducted “with precision and accuracy” in response to recent suicide attacks in Islamabad, Bajaur and Bannu during Ramzan.

The strikes came days after a suicide bomber rammed an explosives-laden vehicle into a security post in Bajaur district in northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, killing 11 soldiers and a child. Authorities later said the attacker was an Afghan national.

Hours before the latest border strikes, another suicide bomber targeted a security convoy in Bannu district, killing two soldiers, including a lieutenant colonel.

After Saturday’s violence, Pakistan’s military warned it would not “exercise any restraint” and that operations against those responsible would continue “irrespective of their location,” signaling rising tensions between Islamabad and Kabul.

Information minister Attaullah Tarar said Pakistan had “conclusive evidence” that recent attacks, including a suicide bombing at a Shiite mosque in Islamabad that killed 31 worshippers earlier this month, were carried out by Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan militants acting on the “behest of their Afghanistan-based leadership and handlers.

He said Pakistan had repeatedly urged Afghanistan’s Taliban rulers to take verifiable steps to prevent militant groups from using Afghan territory to launch attacks in Pakistan, but alleged that no substantive action had been taken.

In a statement, Pakistan said it expects the interim Afghan government to prevent the use of its soil against Pakistan and called on the international community to press Afghan authorities to honour commitments under the Doha Agreement.

Earlier this week, Pakistan’s Foreign Office said it reserves the right to target Afghanistan to protect its citizens amid rising cross-border tensions following the Bajaur attack, according to Dawn, as cited by ANI. “Pakistan very legitimately demands that Afghan territory should not be used for terrorism inside Pakistan. So, as long as this demand is not met, whilst exercising patience, all options would obviously remain on the table,” Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said at a weekly media briefing. {Pakistan would do well to remember these words}

Relations between the two countries have remained tense since October, when deadly border clashes killed soldiers, civilians and suspected militants on both sides. The violence followed explosions in Kabul that Afghan officials blamed on Pakistan.

In Punjab You will find Rajputs (Chauhan, Khokhar, Bhatti, etc) in all Hindus, Sikhs and Muslims. So will you find the Khatris (Sethi, Chawla (Tag TV owner calls himself as Bhartiya is a Chawla Khatri)), etc. Same with Jats (Bajwa, Cheema, Chattha, Sandhu, etc).

Even before 1947 there was a segregation with Hindu/Sikh Khatri, Jats, Rajputs on one side and Muslims on other. The common relatives would be invited on ceremonies but not allowed to eat together providing them with dry rations or sweets to sit aside and eat.

The current obsession with PAkis to declare that Sikhs are close is not new but is actually getting exposed due to grooming issues all over the world.

‘Open war’: Pakistan and Afghanistan’s Taliban claim major casualties
Both sides say Pakistan has bombed targets in Kabul, Kandahar and Paktia in an escalation of recent tit-for-tat attacks.
Al Jazeera Staff, 27 Feb 2026

Pakistan has bombed Afghanistan’s capital Kabul and other cities, claiming to have killed hundreds of Afghan Taliban fighters, as Defence Minister Khawaja Asif said Islamabad would now be waging “open war”, while Afghanistan has also claimed to have inflicted substantial losses.
In a major escalation of the simmering tensions into all-out conflict between the neighbours, Asif said on Friday that his country’s “patience has run out” with the Taliban authorities in Afghanistan, following attacks by Afghan forces against Pakistani military positions along their shared border earlier.
Asif framed the attack as one that his country had been forced to make, and that followed “aggression” from Afghanistan.
Pakistan’s military later said its operation in Afghanistan was continuing “on the directions of the prime minister”.
Reporting from Peshawar, Pakistan, Al Jazeera’s Kamal Hyder said his team had been able to reach the town of Landi Kotal, near the Torkham border crossing with Afghanistan, where they were able to observe ongoing clashes.
“We were able to see and hear outgoing fire from the Pakistani side that appears to be heavy artillery,” he said.

US military personnel stationed at the American consulate in Karachi opened fire on Pakistani protesters who stormed the diplomatic mission, resulting in eight deaths and 30 injuries, according to Pakistani media reports. The violent mob breached security cordons and entered the consulate premises, with some protesters hurling petrol bombs that set parts of the building on fire. The US military resorted to firing to disperse the crowd and protect American diplomats and staff after local Pakistani security forces failed to contain the protest or prevent the breach. The consulate, known as a high-security zone, witnessed unprecedented scenes of civil unrest as protesters, some carrying posters of Khamenei, attempted to break through window panes and enter the building. The incident raises serious questions about the failure of Pakistani authorities to secure the diplomatic mission and maintain law and order.

Pakistanis stormed the US consulate in Karachi to protest against the US attack on Iran.

The US Marines opened fire.

Eight Pakistanis killed.

Washington should take note: deep-seated anti-American hatred runs through the Pakistani street. Whatever “friendship” the US believes it has exists only at the level of Pakistan’s rulers, men who trade allegiance for dollars and foreign backing, especially to sustain hostility against India.

From major terror strikes to regional instability, the trail repeatedly leads back to Pakistan. This is not a misunderstood state but a persistent threat to global peace. It must be denuclearized, diplomatically or otherwise.

'Pakistan Treats Afghanistan As Its Province'
SYED FIRDAUS ASHRAF, February 28, 2026

......
After Pakistan air force jets bombed Kabul and Kandahar on Thursday, February 26, 2026, Syed Firdaus Ashraf/Rediff spoke to Avinash Mohananey, a retired Intelligence Bureau officer who spent a considerable time in Pakistan on security assignments for his assessment of Pakistan's declared 'open war' against Afghanistan.
What is the reason for the sudden spurt of attacks by Pakistan on Afghanistan? What triggered it?
To understand what is happening today between Pakistan and Afghanistan, one must go back in time to 2021. In August 2021, the Americans withdrew hastily from Afghanistan after having captured the country from the Taliban in 2001.
After the humiliating departure of the Americans, the ragtag army of the Afghan Taliban took control of the entire country.
In their fight against the Americans, the Afghan national army and troops from the NATO countries, the Afghan Taliban were supported by fighters from the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU) and the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM) of China.
After August 2021, when the Americans withdrew, the Afghan Taliban suggested to the Pakistan government to hold talks with the TTP to facilitate the return of their cadres to their homes in Pakistan.
The same offer was given to Uzbekistan in respect of Ithe MU and China in respect of the ETIM.
The Afghan Taliban added that they were ready to facilitate talks between the TTP and the Pakistan government.
The Afghan Taliban were not interested in hosting the TTP at that point of time as they had assured in the Doha agreement that they would not allow Afghan soil for terrorism against the US and its allies.
On the other hand, Pakistan was hoping that the Afghan Taliban would hand over TTP cadres and Baloch separatists based in Afghanistan to Pakistan's security agencies, reminding the Taliban of the support it had extended to them during their war against the US and its allies.
So, Pakistan has a problem with the TTP who are against the Pakistan government and the Taliban supports the TTP rather than hand their leaders over to Pakistan.
Yes, the TTP did not agree to surrender to the Pakistan government. At the behest of the Pakistan government, negotiations were held between Pakistan and the TTP facilitated by the Taliban in June 2022 along with an announcement of a cease-fire by the TTP.
Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed (who is now in the Pakistan army's custody for his alleged proximity to Imran Khan), who was then the director general of the ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence), and the corps commander Peshawar were the points persons from Pakistan to hold the talks.

Looks like IAF hitting PAF radars and PAF coordination office at Nur khan base during Operation Sindoor has made Pakistani Airspace very vulnerable

Imagine how brainless a country can be.
In a war between Israel, the US, and Iran, more than 35 Pakistanis have died, more than the number of people who have died in Iran and Israel.
