Op Sindoor 2 On? Silent, Indirect & Non-Kinetic? • Lt Gen R Shankar (R), Sree Iyer

After the kinetic phase of Operation Sindoor in 2025, has India shifted into a silent, indirect, or non-kinetic campaign against Pakistan? Is this phase about cyber, economic, diplomatic, intelligence, and water leverage — rather than missiles and airstrikes?
// a core commander of IA 2 corp, Pushkar said non-chalantly that Op Sindoor 2 is in full swing and it is ongoing.

Given videos of EF-Solaah coming dowen in flames any more doubts of invincibility of these tayyarahs!!
And Kuwaiti official sources are conforming several of them crashed!!.
Hmm no doubt many were taken down during last years conflict.
No wonder OM's counts kept going up and up following the conflict.
His last count was eleven planes down!!

Well here's the official count from the Ameerikans. This too in a totally uncontested airspace where those MQ9s are flying over Iran. They had the gall to talk about the incompetency of the IAF during op Sindoor.SRajesh wrote: ↑02 Mar 2026 13:54 Given videos of EF-Solaah coming dowen in flames any more doubts of invincibility of these tayyarahs!!

SRajesh ji,
it looks like they were brought down by friendly fire by the kuwaiti air defence, so no doubt that the kuwaitis will apologize profusely to trump and also pay for them, along with gifting him with the odd 747 or two or three
otherwise trump will tariff the hell out of these guys
Re: Operation Sindoor - Post Conflict Analysis
It's the Amriki's saying that those are friendly fire. Kuwait city is less than 100km from Iranian border. Eventually Kuwait will be made to pay for any loss , be it by them or by the Iranians.
Re: Operation Sindoor - Post Conflict Analysis
Chetak sir, some experts are theorising that at least one of the 3 F-15s was downed by an AAM (with an F-18 being painted as a likely culprit). Lack of tell tale SAM smoke plume, no jinking to avoid being painted by hostile SAM tracking radar etc being said to be the pointers for the theory.

The aircraft do have chaff and flares. That's one of the technique used in evading the missile. Since this is a BVR, mostly deployed chaff. The rest of what he said is true.Rakesh wrote: ↑02 Apr 2026 01:29 https://x.com/cagujjubhai/status/203942 ... 47450?s=20 ---> Evading a BVR missile in a P-8I. Let that sink in. How India Used Warships And Submarines To Trap Pakistan Navy In Op Sindoor | Watch
While airstrikes dominated headlines, India’s Navy was already in position. During Operation Sindoor, frontline warships and submarines were deployed deep into contested waters — creating pressure without firing a shot. The result? The Pakistan Navy remained contained. This was dominance without engagement. Watch for more details.

Re: Operation Sindoor - Post Conflict Analysis
If & when Op Sindoor 2.0 happens, we need to take out PAF, their primary nuke-delivery mechanism. We let them off the hook this time because our civilian & armed forces leadership's overton window hadn't shifted to think of this possibility
But to do this, we need to have several things in place:
1) Firstly, mindset shift
2) Planning for the aftermath: handling Uncle/China. Making it clear that any re-arming of PAF will be considered an act of war against India & will result in an immediate attack while deliveries happen
3) Massive induction of SEAD ordnance & surface-to-surface missiles which will obliterate aircraft on the ground. It has to be a ground & air operation because air-jocks alone cannot do this
4) Pour money into IDDM purchases because, as long as we are import-fetished, we limit ourselves to "restraint" due to lack of numbers. This is a restraint born out of necessity & hence, not a virtue. We have capable homegrown missiles/bombs to do the job. What's lacking are numbers
What we don't want to hear once more, is how "restrained/mature" we were and how we controlled the "escalation ladder'". No more restraints

Huh, what, even US pilots acknowledge that shooting Rafales by Pak land was non-sensical...
‘4D Chess In The Sky’: Ex-US Combat Pilot Explains How India Used Rafale Decoys To Outsmart Pakistan
Now a former US combat pilot has called it a “genius move.” The focus is on how Indian Rafale jets used advanced decoy systems to confuse enemy radars and missiles. Instead of relying only on speed and firepower, Indian pilots deployed towed decoys and dropped fuel tanks at the right moment, creating multiple false targets in the sky. This made it difficult for enemy systems to identify the real aircraft. The result? Missiles were likely tracking expendable objects instead of actual jets. The tactic also created confusion on the battlefield, making it harder for the opponent to assess damage accurately. This is modern warfare, where technology, deception, and timing matter as much as weapons. Operation Sindoor has now become a case study in how India is adapting to next-generation air combat with precision and planning.
// i guess all those vacuous Western outlets news like reuters, NYT, etc with low IQ newsreporters/editors were fooled by Pak & China propagandu. It is "genius move" you morons.
// no wonder CDS acknowledged loss of aircraft - the decoy kind, he he he he!

Also underlines why we need hundreds & hundreds of unmanned UAVs (the one way disposable kind are fine) which are capable of spoofing our ACs and will be sent in across the border to draw enemy AAD fire BEFORE our manned birds (carrying decoys, jammers etc) go across.bala wrote: ↑04 Apr 2026 22:06 ...
