Indian officials have floated a controversial plan to introduce apex predators such as crocodiles and venomous snakes into riverine stretches along the Bangladesh border, to act as natural deterrents against undocumented migration and smuggling in places where erecting fencing is difficult.
In an internal communication dated March 26, India’s Border Security Force (BSF), which patrols international borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh, ordered personnel at its headquarters on the eastern and northeastern fronts to explore “the feasibility of deploying reptiles in vulnerable riverine gaps”.
The government’s latest move to fence the border with Bangladesh has alarmed human rights activists and wildlife conservationists alike in India.
Re: Bangladesh News and Discussion
“ The 175 km of riverine gaps, particularly in the Sundarbans and the larger Bengal Delta, are home to some of the world’s most formidable reptiles. If the BSF were to "employ" these creatures, they wouldn't have to look far—the natural population is already diverse and dangerous.
…
In the Sundarbans specifically, the Saltwater Crocodile is already a natural deterrent; locals rarely enter certain water channels for fear of "the man-eater." However, in the 175 km of mixed riverine gaps (like the Muhuri or Ichamati rivers), the presence of these reptiles is less consistent, which is likely why the "feasibility study" was ordered.”

Anti-Hindu Pogrom is going on in #Bangladesh.
News coming in from #Gaibandha district.
Islamists abducted a minor Hindu girl when she was returning home from school.
Her father already filed a complaint in the Police Station. But, the Police couldn't recover her as of now.
Her father Nitai Das said, “Shimul Miyan and others abducted my minor daughter. They converted her into Islam. The Police couldn't recover her. I want justice.”
The abduction and forced conversion of Hindu girls is very common in Bangladesh. In most cases, law enforcement agencies don't care about the complaint. That's why these incidents are increasing.

Can't intimidate us with barbed wire, says Bangladesh, puts border force on alert
DHAKA: Bangladesh cannot be intimidated with "barbed wire", PM Tarique Rahman's foreign affairs adviser Humaiun Kobir said Monday as the new BJP govt in West Bengal in its first cabinet meeting decided to transfer land to Border Security Force (BSF) for fencing the border with Bangladesh.Targetting Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari, he said election rhetoric and actual governance are two different issues and "Bangladesh wants to see whether the Adhikari govt is following election rhetoric in governance". "People of Bangladesh are not afraid of barbed wire... Govt of Bangladesh is also not afraid; where we need to talk, we will talk," he said to reporters, days after foreign minister Khalilur Rahman warned Dhaka would take action if "push-back" incidents - forcibly evicting people - occur following change of govt in Bengal.
Humaiun said the Indian govt should adopt a more "humane approach" in resolving border security issues if it wants to strengthen people-to-people relations, adding that their (Bangladesh govt's) relationship is primarily with the (Indian) central govt. "We do not want to become involved in their internal politics," he said.On alleged "push-back" and killings along the border, Humaiun said Bangladesh would not remain silent if people continued to be killed along the border. "Bangladesh has its own plans and responses. I hope matters will not proceed in that direction," he said.

Indian Diplomat Found Dead in Bangladesh Mission
Bangladesh police found Dhar's body Tuesday morning in a data entry room at India's Assistant High Commission in Chattogram, with no visible injuries and suspicions pointing to cardiac arrest or health issues. His remains went for autopsy at Chittagong Medical College Hospital, as an unnatural death case proceeds amid coordination with his family. The incident unfolds against tense India-Bangladesh relations, though no foul play appears at the secure site, and authorities promise full cooperation.

In Bangladesh, a crying boy hired a cycle van to bring his murdered mother's body to the police station. Clutching his small sister, he explained to onlookers that their mother was raped & brutally killed in front of him and his younger siblings by a Maula (Isl@mic teacher) & two others. They have no other surviving relatives.
The statistics coming out of Bangladesh are devastating: reports of sexual violence have increased fivefold, affecting the most vulnerable members of society. This crisis demands urgent attention and a collective commitment to safety and justice for all.

The project is a geopolitical and engineering statement, approved six months before the Ganga Water Sharing Treaty between the two countries expires.
However, if the treaty lapses or is renewed in weakened form, the project risks becoming a monument to strategic anxiety: a costly hedge for Bangladesh that will still not compensate for unreliable upstream flows.

^honestly, good for the kanglus. It is high time that neighbours start being independent and stop partaking in eating of our flesh and drinking of our blood reminiscent of tales of the greatest story never told.
With independent infra and own means of controlling said infra, the neighbours can be thought to chart their own future instead of the current situation where they leech off indian resources and get publically peeved when the state of India does not take such parasites into account while making decisions for its future.
If there was ever a time for strategic depth in neighborhood, it is now a redundant concept as all regions are mere vassals to the great zog, so it's not like we are loosing a non-existent relationship.

West Bengal's Deportation Drive Begins As Malda Opens First Holding Centre For Illegal Immigrants
West Bengal's new government has launched its promised crackdown on illegal immigration, with the state's first holding centre now operational in Malda. The move is part of a wider effort to identify, detain, and deport alleged illegal Bangladeshi nationals and Rohingyas residing in India without valid documentation. As enforcement intensifies, large crowds have reportedly gathered near border checkpoints amid fears of deportation. Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has reiterated the government's tough stance on infiltration, while the opposition TMC has questioned both the scale of the alleged problem and the effectiveness of border management. Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has announced a national-level review of demographic changes linked to illegal immigration and border security concerns.

Just pack these Kanglas and ship them off to the Dakotas. The great Khan should now take care of them.
Re: Bangladesh News and Discussion
So whats going to happen when Dhaka refuses to take in these illegals? Our power difference with them is not the same as with the USA, who could browbeat most of the countries into accepting their citizens. For how many of these people do we have solid proofs that we can show the beedi govt and convince them to take them back. How long can we keep them in these holding areas and keep on taking care of them?.
In the last 4 years we only managed to deport 1400 people from Assam, while according to estimates there are millions of illegals. Apart from discouraging new illegals, I do not see much else happening. Unfortunately, acting as proxy for China and Pakistan, the present govt. in BD seems to want to poke India. Unless we are willing to swing our stick at them and be prepared to do it for a long time, we might end up trying to prevent another active front from opening up.
Re: Bangladesh News and Discussion
I have been thinking about this love Jihad business and sexual violence of Muslims over infidel women. Life of Muslim men revolve around sexual prowess and sexual subjugation of women. They are especially brutal over women of infidels. The only solution I have thought of as a cure for this is "sudden removal" of their penis with a sharp object. If they can't have sex, their entire notion of superiority over infidels collapses. Most Muslim men know the reality of Islam but keep hanging around because of the opportunity for sex it provides. There is only one thing that Muslims fear more than death -- it is the loss of their penis.drnayar wrote: ↑26 May 2026 23:45 https://x.com/RadharamnDas/status/2059243495815352767

drnayar ji,
this is the standard jihadi practice that has been on for tens of centuries.
only their benefits are of any interest to them, all the others can go to hell, because the non jihadis are considered lesser beings by sharia laws, with socio religiously marginalised rights that the ummah used to forcefully enforce wherever they could, if they could. Otherwise, their modus operandi has always been to cry foul, whine and claim discrimination, and flood the media with their imagined woes caused by .......
just look at what rules are enforced in the GCC countries
this clown who has written the "article" forgets to mention that if, as he claims, India benefitted from hasina's benevolence, it completely negates the point that vast sections of their criminally inclined populace sneaked into India, aided and abetted by their own govt, and security forces, and these vermin created socio economic havoc in India by millions upon millions of beedis/roinghiyas freeloading off India's social benefits infrastructure, placing enormous financial stresses upon it, stresses that were never catered for in the design of the system but jihadi politicos who benefitted from their vote chori made sure that these beedi and rohinghiya scum remained safely house, fed via the PDS and given money by way of various schemes announced by the centre, as well as, the states
the billions of dollars that went to the beedi economy from illegal remittances of these jihadi migrants wilfully leeching local Indian jobs and minting money during elections by selling their votes to the jihadi parties in India. They gobbled up Indian land in cities, smuggled drugs, and arms trade, indulged in human trafficking, and it's actual purpose, that of prostitution
For some years now, India has become increasingly hard headed in geopolitical issues and matters concerning her economic, especially energy, and military security concerns, often flatly refusing to compromise or dilute her views to accommodate or indulge third parties
It's high time that the beedis learned the hard way, the tangible meaning of geopolitics, extra regional diplomacy and the real time consequences of cross border criminal gangs, aided and abetted by hard core fundamentalist jihadi political parties and by BIF driven anti India forces in the ruling party itself, be it hasina's govt or any other that is in power
About the failure of India's neighbourhood first policy, one does not agree with the writer, it was a very foolish and ill judged gesture/policy that actually encouraged the beedis to feel that India was a "walk over" over, and a soft neighbour whom they could trample rough shod at will
BTW, go back and look at some of mumtaz bano's statement over the years, it was not as though she was planning to run a separate country, she already thought that she had created one and was running it like she was its PM, and so she was very sure that she would never be unseated because of possible guarantees of armed support that she had been pledged by the BIF
the crazed beedi mullahs who claimed that they would over run bengal in a few hours, were they actually banking on the illegal beedis in India who they were sure would rise up and and attack the Indian forces. Several large caches of arms, ammo, crude bombs et all have been recovered by the police and other authorities that lends some credence to such a hypothesis
The arms and other heavy weapons of the naxals have not yet been fully recovered
Re: Bangladesh News and Discussion
Historical note: Jinnah did not insist on the full transfer of population. He wanted a structured and planned transfer of the people who did want to move. He advised Muslims who chose to remain in India to be loyal citizens of India. (added) When Mussalmans of UP and Bihar asked Jinnah what they should do, he did not say "Come to Pakistan"; he indicated that they should stay put.And a curse on that Gandhi and Nehru idiots for not allowing full transfer of population despite insistence of Jinnah.
It was Dr Ambedkar who wrote in favor of a full transfer to Muslims from India to Pakistan and of Hindus and Sikhs from Pakistan to India.

“ Bangladesh's interim government (led by Muhammad Yunus from August 2024 to February 2026) suspended vaccine procurement through UNICEF and shifted to an open tender system. This bureaucratic change and resulting procurement delays led to depleted vaccine stockpiles. This disrupted the immunization program, ultimately resulting in a deadly measles outbreak in 2026.”
“ Following the February 2026 elections, the newly elected government immediately abandoned the open tender decision and returned to direct procurement through UNICEF to stabilize the vaccine pipeline.”
What happened:
How a series of failures became a deadly measles outbreak
A financing overhaul, a budget set too late, a misplaced faith in foreign loans, warnings left unheeded — how it all converged into a measles outbreak that has killed at least 88 children, and likely hundreds more.

Re: Bangladesh News and Discussion
But India in what form ? And loyalty ???
Stay put.. for what?
Here is a theory
Real face of Jinnah: New book says he never wanted a united India
Now, a new book by Ishtiaq Ahmed, Swedish political scientist of Pakistani descent, has rubbished this theory, arguing that Jinnah, who is venerated as Quaid-e-Azam in Pakistan, was adamant about partitioning India even though the Congress led by Mahatma Gandhi and Nehru tried till the very last moment to change his mind and keep India united.
“There are ad infinitum speeches, statements and messages of Jinnah explicitly demanding the partition of India to create Pakistan. Also, Jinnah on scores of occasions said that it is nefarious Congress propaganda that he and the Muslim League were using the demand for Pakistan as a bargaining chip. He rejected such an insinuation saying he wanted the partition of India to create a separate and independent Pakistan,” Ahmed says.
Eventually when Partition happened, Jinnah complained about having received a “moth-eaten Pakistan”. But it appears that he wanted further division of India with a separate state for the Sikhs comprising the princely states in East Punjab and a separate Dravidistan in South India.
The Stockholm University professor emeritus also rejects the claim that Jinnah wanted Pakistan to be a secular state: a view that arose from his August 11, 1947, speech to the Pakistan constituent assembly. “My theory is that the speech was to convince the Indian government not to expel the 35 million Muslims who were in India because Pakistan would prevent Hindus and Sikhs from leaving too by protecting them,” Ahmed says. This was in keeping with the League’s ‘hostage theory’. “The assumption was that there would be substantial minorities in both India and Pakistan. That would mean that if Indian Muslims were coerced by Hindus in India, then Hindus in Pakistan would be given a tough time,” Ahmed explains.
