Jane's Missiles and Rockets, Nov 1, 2002, quotes Dr. A Sivathanu Pillai, chief R&D controller of the DRDO and CEO of BrahMos Pvt. Ltd., as saying that Brahmos production will begin in 2004 and that Malaysia and South Africa are potential buyers.

According to Jane's Missiles and Rockets, Pakistan has announced the test of a sea-skimming UAV, a version of the 35 km range Nishan Mk2TJ drone. The Nishan has a speed of 370km/h, a 42kg takeoff weight and can carry a 12kg payload.

From Jane's:
India will re-tender the competition to upgrade 60 Indian Air Force S-125 Pechora (SA-3 'Goa) surface-to-air missile (SAM) system, writes David C Isby. Negotiations on the upgrades, intended to cost about US$150 million, had led to a competition between the Neva version, marketed by Poland's Centrex, and the Pechora-2M marketed by Russia's Rosobronexport. Both designs have been evaluated in India.
