amirkhan has funded and trained a Indonesian outfit named Detachment 88 (good choice of sinister name) to take on the jemah islamiyah. seems to be a good crew and has done good work.

The dirtbags are exploiting the death of Karkare to their own propaganda advantage. It's the Malegaon angle they're interested in.

Most of the cops look unfit and fat. Are they trained to fire that .303 ?

Sagarika Ghose says that Karkarey was disturbed by the Malegaon allegations hence did not take proper precautions and he got killed.

One obvious point to make - if it is true that jihadis were monitoring web-sites for live operational information, they are also monitoring websites for reactions.

So no matter what you really feel, do not, under any circumstances, express being disheartened.

Just speculating but perhaps it is because Marcos may be involved in international operations including covert ops, and NSG are primarily domestic anti-terrorism, anti-hostage taking situations?

NSG are quite visible in their VIP protection role. I think that this is the first time that the use of Marcos has been acknowledged in the open.

Even I was thinking along the same lines ......since Marcos will be used in war , disclosing their identity will be a problem.

Since NSG are used for IS duty , exposing them is not much a risk , but not sure thats the only reason.

Ok I have seen many of the SF , carry their own small Video camera , either on their helmet or some special gadget attached on their shoulders .........so do you guys think , NSG or Marcos must have video shooted this operation ?

There was some competition by the Indian reporters to come on the international channels such as CNN, MSNBC and FOXNEWS.

Burkha was there only for the first day but she was cutoff after that.

CNN Indian reporter got good coverage in the first day. Then she was cut off.

CNN US reporter in India Sara Sidner was then used for the rest of the coverage

Other US channels had to depend on Indian TV channels for live footage but no reporter.

Bhai Log,

See this piece from Financial Times, insinuating that Hindus could be
behind the Mumbai attack
India’s normal reflex action is to point the finger at Pakistan, the arch-rival with whom it has fought three major wars and tussled over the future of predominantly Muslim Kashmir, where Pakistani-backed insurgents tie down almost half India’s army. Manmohan Singh, India’s prime minister, has called for calm and communal harmony. But he is already sourcing the attacks outside the country.

“We will take up strongly with our neighbours that the use of their territory for launching attacks on us will not be tolerated,” he said, warning of “a cost” unless they acted decisively. Yet the murk in this instance is unusually thick.

Both Islamist and Hindu extremists have been bombing their way across India in an attempt to polarise opinion, especially ahead of general elections next year. Some of these appear to have been “false flag” attacks, including by Hindu supremacists masquerading as jihadis. One of the Mumbai attackers, presumed to be Islamists, was photographed wearing a sacred Hindu thread around his wrist

Surgeons find over 100 Pakistan-made bullets

Vikram SharmaFirst Published : 29 Nov 2008 02:11:00 AM ISTLast Updated : 29 Nov 2008 08:00:38 AM IST

MUMBAI: Doctors at the JJ Group of Hospitals have had “enough of Pakistan” during the last 48 hours. “It is a POF bullet again,” they would say after performing every surgery, that takes close to two hours.
While all their focus is on saving lives, what disturbs them is the increasing count of the bullets, all manufactured in Pakistan Ordnance Factory (POF). So far, the doctors have removed over 100 POF bullets. A container full of blood stained bullets says it all. "We have removed 100- odd bullets and handed them over to the police. A close look shows POF embossed on them which is certainly frustrating,” a senior orthapaedician, who did not wish to be identified, disclosed to Express.

Pakistan govt and military are still supporting LeT. This is even acknowledged by US govt.
Now US govt put LeT under banned list only in DEC 2001. But they worked with LeT during the 2005 earthquake to help the victims. US and Pakistan govt have been working with LeT for more than 20 years.
Hafeez Saeed, the LeT (or JuD as it calls itself nowadays) chief, was brought to Lal Masjid by the PA to negotiate with the Ghazi there as a last ditch effort just before storming. It was reported by all Pakistani newspapers at that time. There was surprise that the government associated with that guy so openly. However, those who know LeT could not have been surprised at all. That's why whenever LeT operatives are involved, it has to be taken as a Pakistani government sponsored operation or even a direct Pakistani Government operation itself.

Recall the incident in the early 90's before the Mumbai blasts when Sharad Pawar was the Defence Min. After a shootout in Breach Candy Hospital, Dawood's men were evacuated in an Indian Air Force plane to New Delhi where they stayed at his private residence till things calmed down. This was reported in India Today. The link of anti national elements with the people who are supposed to protect us is too deep.

I would like a team of volunteers and a leader to put together the collection of photos, news items all in a single file for later use. I think there will be an inquiry commission in the aftermath a la KRC or 911.

*** UPDATE Nitin Gokhale of NDTV Reports ***

Nitin Gokhale, Defence Correspondent NDTV has reported that:

"Armed forces officers who came on TV were later told to shut up, by the highest quarters of government, they were told you cannot hog all the limelight, it is a NSG operation, forgetting completely that the special action group is comprised entirely of Army personnel".

Sometime yesterday, all reporting which till then had spoken of the MARCOS contribution, of the Armys arrival, has stopped talking about them at all.

It is now absolutely clearly evident that the bureaucrats are scared as hell that this popular suport for the armed forces will translate into a discussion of the outrageous injustice done to them at the pay commission level. It is also clear that the bad press that the military has been getting is originating from the bureaucracy.

Shekhar Dupatta has apparently already done a hit piece on Admiral Bedi, at the behest of the bureaucracy, for speaking on the op. Noone said anything to that oaf Maharashtra DG, AN Rai, who actually damaged the ops with his incompetent and nonsensical commentary.

The nation rightly respects its military. I think the people deserve to know who is slandering our military. It is wrong for armymen to do all the dangerous work in this case, two of them to get killed, and then for the people like Max Pereira and others claim that the credit all goes to a "Central Police Organisation", completely ignoring the fact that the Special Action Group is officered, manned, and run by armymen. This sort of one upmanship is very bad. Soon the army will want to stop posting men to these so called "Mixed Organisations" if this carries on.

Pakistan: Today, a senior security official denied Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi's statement that the political section of Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) had been closed, Asian News International reported. The official said that the political section of the ISI still existed, although it had been made "inactive."

This statement is hardly good news, but it showcases the fractiousness of Pakistan’s national security establishment. ISI hard line professionals are at war with the elected government which thus far has shown it has no capability to clean ISI’s house. Musharraf’s old timers and the pro-fundamentalists need to be dismissed once and for all. They work to subvert the elected government.

Pakistan's air force is capable of stopping the flights of unmanned drones and missile strikes into its territory from Afghanistan, Pakistani air force Chief Marshall Tanvir Mahmood told Geo News today. Mahmood was quoted by Reuters as saying the decision is up to Islamabad whether the drone flights can be dealt with "diplomatically and politically" or whether they will require a military response.
Can you get the report where 48 hrs before the first attack on Mumbai - PM Zardari had made remarks saying that Kashmir is no longer an issue for Pakistan.

Sharad Pawar comment was very depressing he mentioned , people of mumbai will get back to normalcy because of their sprit ...... then he goes on to mention that such things have happened in Mumbai in the past and things became normal after few days :(

Well yes Sharad Pawar is a big traitor , supports Dawood ........ even telgi mentioned him in narco test and he managed to skip.

The current commisioner AN Roy is a stooge of Sharad Pawar.......well all the commissioner of Mumbai under congress rule are appointed based on what Sharad Pawar liking is.

All ready started on it. Am building an accurate time line with any live footage available from web sources. Have a google map made showing the terrorist tracks. Have requested members to leave comments with important information that can be included with the map. I request admins to start a new thread where wealth of such information can be collected and then condensed. Current thread turns over very fast and its very hard to keep track of posts with relevant information.
