Aditya G wrote:Correction: only the BSF is under Army command that too only in border areas or under state of war.

Are sure about this? AFAIK all para-military orgs, intel agencies, state police and army operating in j&k are under the unified command headed by the cm of j&k. will be glad to be corrected regarding this.
Aditya G wrote:The 'unified command' in NE..
Well there is no unified command in NE, only assam has a unified command. there are only preliminary plans to have such commands in other states.
Aditya G wrote:I interpret the title of the thread that the pictures should be Indian, and not of foreign forces.
Nobody here is questioning your right to interpret the title of the threads but firemen in military thread are certainly off-topic.

avinash, while you are technically correct, let's go by the spirit of this thread as aditya says.
Interesting pics of Indian military/paramil/law enforcement are welcome, as long as we don't post images of potbellied pandus chewing paan and posing for riswat !

Something about these pics is really kick ass. Gen Sekhon's body language is kick ass first ask questions later. His men show the same grit in other pics.

That's what you get in a force where even starred officers keep fighting fit and work hard to maintain their weapons/flight rating rather than run businesses and municipal utilities. The Indian officer takes Chetwode's suggestion v.v. seriously.
