Well there is no unified command in NE, only assam has a unified command. there are only preliminary plans to have such commands in other states.

Still in the era of T-55.
My batch mate in Engg is in Meerut EME Workshop T-55 is still the bulk of work horse tanks with IA, notwithstanding the talk of T-72, T-90 etc etc.

Something about these pics is really kick ass. Gen Sekhon's body language is kick ass first ask questions later. His men show the same grit in other pics.

That's what you get in a force where even starred officers keep fighting fit and work hard to maintain their weapons/flight rating rather than run businesses and municipal utilities. The Indian officer takes Chetwode's suggestion v.v. seriously.
