First of all, these 2 Paki terrorists seem to have close ties with Butts. Butt is open sympathizer of PAKI terrorism and he criticized Indians movies which depict Pakis as villains. Why did his name come up so many times in those mails? Just because he helped them rent a flat. Most likely Rahul Butt knows he is a Paki and mafia connected. The Bollywood-Mafia connection is not a surprising thing. May be Rahul unknowingly was them helping with setting up terror cells and meetings.

Mahesh Butt said in a statement that how his son could not suspect a white American as terrorist. But if Rahul met him, he would have definitely known that he is not white American. Mahesh is lying to the media thinking that gullible people of India can't put 2 and 2 together that he is a Paki based on his name. He is misleading people even after the information about the scum's identity came out. That leads me to believe that Butts have some skeletons in the closet.

I think you can count on them being checked out rather thoroughly, given the likelihood that one or both of the accused are either foreign intelligence agents or at a bare minimum were trained by foreign intelligence agents. The bit of tradecraft discussed in the complaint, with the number 11 in the email address, is so odd as to have undoubtedly come from some manual.

It seems Rana's lawyer tried to argue that if there had been an attack on the newspaper in Denmark, that would not have been terrorism, because the target - a newspaper - is not a government entity. The lawyer gets high marks for creativity. The two motions (3 November and 6 November) address that issue.

Mahesh butt has been making a lot of Indo-Pakistani joint collaboration films of late. He even hires pakistani actors for film projects.

Perhaps the Headley chap came recommended from someone in pakistan thus the hospitality extended to him by the bhatt household. Perhaps this was just an attempt by them to gain another film project within pakistan.

All of mahesh bhatt and pooja bhatt's pakistan related projects need to be scrutinized. Specially the favours they got there from the faujis, bureaucrats and netas to whet if the ISI / LET / Brigade 131, was involved.

Sridhar saar, what is the distinction of the Brigade 131?

I know that the LET is designated to focus on J&K. Of late they have stepped out of line and done projects on their own which have brought brickbats to pakistan.

Is Brigade 131 the arm that will do the other actions in the rest of India? I think the Pakistanis will seek a distinction so that some other force or Non State Actors get the rap for any international projects and JUD/LET's name doesn't crop up.

Those fine entities who have been getting their kicks (no pun intended) on the Sadhvi and Colonel Purohit, might give him a quick intro to their portfolio of skills in order to inspire his writing/speaking inclinations.

From what I read, there is a good reason why visiting Pakis might need help from resident powerful/rich Mumbai-ites in order to rent flats, esp. close to the Amir Khani Consulate etc. So it is pretty hard to buy the Butts' proclamation of innocence, however rock-stupid Rahul claims to be or looks. This is why I say that he's up for the Darwin Award. Plus the "narco-test" and other jollies.

FBI began monitoring Headley before 26/11, Rana visited 5 cities in 3 weeks

For, according to immigration records here, Rana was in India for about three weeks in November 2008 and left the country days before 26/11. Investigators here are looking at this visit to explore any links between Rana and the Mumbai attacks.

Within a week of Headley’s arrest, US agencies had, through intelligence channels, informed India about the case around October 9 which was well before it was made public on October 27. Intercepts of communication and email had also been handed over to Indian agencies, said sources.

In fact, National Security Advisor M K Narayanan was in US in the last week of October and was given a briefing on the case.

So all those heightened threat level in that time frame from PC etc all was based on FBI inputs. Seeing that FBI had them under surveillance for least a year or more, if they had shared some of the intel then it would have helped trace out lot of Indian slipper cells! and I am sure FBI tracked Hadley while he was in India, and am sure they have all details on whom he met and what he did! It does not look like they provided any such intel to Indian authority while tracking him before 9 Oct 09. If they had then maybe some of co-conspirator/slipper cell modules in India would have been nabbed too! I fear they may have already bolted!

Did Pakistan conceal truth on Delhi terror plot?

Even as Indian interrogators began questioning alleged Lashkar terror duo David Headley and Tahawwur Hussein Rana in Chicago, Pakistani media on Thursday (November 5) that the Pakistan government had arrested the chief suspect behind the plot to attack the National Defence College in New Delhi, and added that it was this arrest that foiled the LeT plan.

Questions are being raised over whether Pakistan had prior knowledge about the terror New Delhi terror plot and concealed this fact. It certainly made no mention of the arrested terrorist, who reportedly revealed details of the National Defence College attack plot on interrogation.

A senior journalist from Asia Times when talking with TIMES NOW Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami on Thursday (November 5), hinted at Islamabad knowing in advance of the terror plot.

Syed Shahzad said an al-Qaeda operative was arrested by Pakistani officials in September in connection with the planned attack.

But, none of this appears to have been communicated by Islamabad to New Delhi.

However, Shahzad claims it was this timely arrest by Pakistani officials which stopped an attack on the National Defence College.

“Pakistani intelligence agencies have already arrested one of the members of this ‘313 brigade’, otherwise that plot was supposed to be executed much earlier. But people were spotted very timely and they were arrested, and that is why that plot could not be executed,” said Shahzad.

The American national David Coleman Headley’s most important meeting is believed to have been with Ilyas Kashmiri, the head of Al Qaeda's hardcore ‘313 Brigade’. The unit's name refers to the number of men the Prophet Mohammed had with him at the Battle of Badr in 624.

Brigade 313 is actually a coalition of five of the world's deadliest Muslim terrorist organizations: Lashkar-e-Toiba; Jaish-e-Muhammad; Harkatul Jihad al-Islami; Harkatul Mujahideen al-Alami; and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.

Some believe the unit was created in 1991 to combat India in Kashmir, while another version has it forming a decade later in response to the American invasion of Afghanistan. What can't be disputed, however, is its direct links with both al Qaeda and the Taliban.

An Indian team comprising intelligence officials and members of the RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) is currently in Chicago to unravel the conspiracy hatched by the Lashkar-e-Taiba to carry out the attacks on India by questioning David Headley, who is suspected to be an LeT operative and who along with associate Rana have been arrested and charged for their alleged roles in plotting to commit terrorist acts against ‘overseas targets’ - including Denmark and India.

According to an FBI affidavit filed in a Chicago court, Headley was in close contact with Ilyas Kashmiri and several unidentified leaders of LeT, two of whom are identified as "LeT member A" and "Individual A." He had visited Pakistan before to meet LeT handlers and was returning there ostensibly to finalize plans for strikes.

The FBI says that in July and August 2009, Headley exchanged a series of e-mails with LeT Member A, including an exchange in which Headley asked if the Denmark project was on hold, and whether a visit to India that LeT member A had asked him to undertake was for the purpose of surveilling targets for a new terrorist attack.

While one reason for the FBI not naming the two other suspects could be that they are Pakistani nationals, the Bureau indicated that it received cooperation from foreign investigating agencies.

Between 2006 and 2009, Headley ran a firm called Immigration Law Centre out of Tardeo AC Market in south Mumbai with the help of a local Parsi woman. Late last night, officials of the federal National Investigating Agency, which has now joined the probe with Mumbai police, visited Headley’s immigration firm.

“A lot of facts have emerged from the interrogation of his co-worker/partner at the firm. She has been very co-operative. We now know Headley rarely used mobile phones and computers; but he did have a Tata Indicom landline number that he used while operating this immigration business. His mobile number is also with us and is leading us to some of his local contacts/acquaintances,” the source said.

It is Brigade 313. It was founded by Ilyas Kashmiri and originally consisted of Punjabis, Sindhis and Kashmiris to fight India in J&K. Currently, it is a five-member coalition comprising of LeT, JeM, HuJI,HMA and LeJ. Of course, Ilyas Kashmiri is an ex-SSG commando who had been involved in Afghanistan earlier as part of PA. Its strength (circa 2009) was estimated at 3000. 313 is the number of warriors in the battle of Badr in Prophet Mohammed’s time.

Ilyas Kashmiri was earlier the Kashmir commander of HuJI. He was very close to the Rawalpindi-based Xth Corps of PA as it was resposnsible for Kashmir operations. Ilyas ran a terror training camp at Kotli which was well supported by PA.

Today, Ilyas Kashmiri has assumed a greater operational responsibility within Al Qaeda. He was a prominent member in HuJI days and HuJI wa the original 'Punjabi Taliban' and so his current status within AQAM (Al Qaeda and Allied Movements) is not surprising. Ilyas' view has enlarged simultaneously from Kashmir to the whole of India.

2 Kashmiris Held In WB For Headley Link

Srinagar, Nov 14, KONS: West Bengal police claimed to have arrested two Kashmiris, one of them a non-Muslim, on charges of being involved with US citizen David Headley accused of being a part of a Lashkar-e-Tayyab terror plot in India.
The arrests were said to have been made at the behest of central intelligence agencies.
Identified as Qadir Ahmad Bhat and Ramesh Saambu, both shawl merchants, the duo are suspected to linked to an international terror network of which Headley is said to be part.
The police in Kashmir said that they had no official information about the arrests.

It does look like rana maybe have had a part in final stage co-ordination for 26/11 attack! the time frame matches the sail dates of those paki terrorists from Karachi.

Headley stayed in Delhi's Paharganj to recce for LeT

Headley's US passport (No. 097536400), issued March 10, 2006 and valid for 10 years, revealed he had come to New Delhi from Abu Dhabi March 6 this year - the ninth visit to India on the passport. He is also suspected of having a Pakistani passport, sources say.

On March 6, he stayed at Hotel Holiday International and then for the next two days at Hotel Anand, from where he checked out saying he was leaving for Rajasthan, according to hotel records.

Sources told The Sunday Express that Headley visited Ahmedabad once for 18 hours, then for a day and, on the third occasion, for two days.

He stayed at a hotel in the minority-dominated section of the city’s deeply divided Kalupur.

These details were obtained on the basis of the 16-digit International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number of the handset used by Headley.

It is through this number that Central agencies have been able to track Headley’s trail and the mobile numbers used on the handset.

Indian intelligence agencies have gathered clinching evidence of his activities in Kochi, where he, along with his wife Samraz Akhtar, stayed in the name of ‘Tahawwur Hussain’ at the Taj Residency (since renamed Gateway) Hotel from the evening of November 16 till 2 p.m., November 17.

According to sources, details of his passport, bearing number JV 533373, issued from Ottawa, Canada, on March 3, 2006, and his address in Chicago were ascertained from hotel records. From Kochi, he took off for Mumbai, they said.

The security agencies have also unearthed a cover advertisement that he put out in a leading daily in the State on November 17 offering visas to the U.S. and Canada on a ‘limited time money back guarantee.’ It read: ‘Our Principal, World famous Immigration Consultant Dr. Rana from Chicago in your town’ and listed his tour dates in Delhi (November 14 and 15), Cochin (November 16 and 17), Ahmedabad (November 18 and 19) and Mumbai (November 20).’

The advertisement, placed through the Matunga (Mumbai)-based Prachar Agency, also gave telephone numbers — 09867833413 and 0017733389930 — besides an e-mail id, [email protected] .

The Google cache of that advertisement is dated 21 September 2009, and it displays Rana's email address. The current version of the advertisement does not display Rana's email address - meaning that sometime after 21 September someone with control over the appearance of the ad removed Rana's email address. Since Rana has been in jail it was presumably an associate at his company, trying to help clean up the boss's mess.

The Google cache of that advertisement is dated 21 September 2009, and it displays Rana's email address. The current version of the advertisement does not display Rana's email address - meaning that sometime after 21 September someone with control over the appearance of the ad removed Rana's email address. Since Rana has been in jail it was presumably an associate at his company, trying to help clean up the boss's mess.

We need to publicize this worldwideimmigration company as a terror front as much as possible and spread the word to every one. Why are they not shutting this down? Does terrorist Rana work there or does he own the business?

How many more front companies / entities are there? Need to develop a profile to ferret its true purpose.
