I feel so disgusted by this headline news in TOIlet..i cringe in shame.

US-gives-India-policing-power-in-the-Indian-Ocean

When will these 'Aman ke Tamashe' waale learn?

This is not about Jingoism, this is about reality. The truth. They seem to think reality and truth does not matter, but some form of appeasing does. This is sick. Nowhere does the US give that. Nowhere the US claims it's shedding a responsibility. And importantly nowhere will anyone like this header. Including India. Except the feudal pseudo secular brigade. They feel they placate. Placation laced with untruth and exaggeration is what Indians like (they feel). I hate this crap..

I, for example, almost never have to worry about washing and ironing my clothes, for the housemaids do it. I also don't have to spend time on other personal chores, such as the cleaning of my room. When I leave home, I hardly ever have to deal with the traffic of Lahore. I commute to and from my university every day, making what I think is good use of my daily time, thanks, of course, to the services of the household driver. Time that would have otherwise gone to these tasks goes to activities which contribute, in my opinion, to the furthering of my education. Relieved of the responsibility of performing these tasks, I can be better focused on what may be called my "professional" identity, that of a student.

Servants thus may contribute to the better performance of a CEO, a judge or a doctor, making these people's work easier by freeing up their time which would be taken up by household activities. In some cases,
nayahaha ahaha to all you guys living in places where you have to clean your own room. drive your own car, iron your own clothes - you guys simply can't perform better that this Paki - besides you are all servant class.

So there..

Wake up to reality
It is all India's fault that paastan is not a first world country.
It is unfortunate that over one and a half billion people of India and Pakistan have never pondered over their respective confrontational postures.
Had India spent more on the welfare and wellbeing of its people than on war-preparedness, the people of India would have been enjoying a better life.
Had India not started the arms race to ensure its hegemony in South Asia, the Pakistani governments could have spent its limited resources on health, education, food, housing, environment and other public services.
Fundamentalism is a state of mind and can be found on both sides of the border
However, in its madness to remove Pakistan from the world map, India is fast losing its grip over its own territories and Assam, Orissa, Bihar, Jharkand, and eastern Utter Pradesh are fast turning into yet more Kashmirs.
the majority of Indians are leading horrible lives -- a shame for such a nation.
The Hindu establishment is only telling half the truth to all the Indians.
If any Jaswant Singh dares to show the Hindu junta the other side of the picture, he is either sacked or killed.
"Aman ki aasha" is a very good initiative jointly launched by Jang Group and Times of India. If the focus under this campaign remains on making confessions to past wrongs, the remedy would not be too far.
If Indian media educates its people, informing them about the past blunders committed by the Hindu establishment, it would help greatly in resolving the historic wrongs
In my humble view, Pakistan's Kashmir policy has been carved out in the depths of despair and is based on historic wrongs.
It is a historic fact that prior to the partition of India, All India Congress pleaded that the people of each state should have the final say on whether or not they wanted to join Pakistan or India. This proposition was turned down by the Muslim League leadership which wanted the decision to be taken by the ruler of each state.
Pakistan had two prime opportunities to get Kashmir.
Now, in the post 9/11 scenario, every militant is regarded as an outlaw and the international community supports the Indian stance over Kashmir because we made yet another blunder by handing over the control of Kashmir struggle to the religious fanatics.
Another gaffe of our policymakers is that they are still optimistic about the UN resolutions on Kashmir irrespective of the fact that more than sixty years have passed since these resolutions were passed. Truth is that the resolutions passed by UNSC in 1947 and 1957 are not binding in nature and only have the force of recommendations.
It's true that India cannot conquer Pakistan, but it is equally true that no war can help Pakistan get Kashmir.
What the heck are they mixing in the daily grass that is fed to these morons in paastan?

‘Strategic death’? ---- DT edit.
In view of the various international conferences recently held on resolving the Afghan conundrum, General Kayani has offered Pakistan’s services in the training of the Afghan National Army. India has already implemented a similar offer and in view of the burgeoning trust deficit between Pakistan and Afghanistan, the balance of favour may tilt towards India. Inevitably, Pakistan will not be too happy about it if this continues. But we have to realise that Pakistan should have offered to help the Afghan army a long time ago instead of waiting for India to make the first move and then jump belatedly onto the bandwagon. A proxy war developing between India and Pakistan on Afghan soil is no secret any more; the army chief’s ‘concerns’ about the Afghan army developing a potential to take on Pakistan come in the wake of India’s entry into the Afghanistan imbroglio. Both India and Pakistan must stop trying to outdo each other, as it will only further destabilise the region. A peaceful Afghanistan will translate into a peaceful South Asia.
Scepticism over the reconciliatory efforts has a lot of weight, as the foreign forces now seem inclined to cut their losses and withdraw. If the US-led forces leave Afghanistan in a quagmire this time around, the world will have to pay an even heavier price than last time. As for Pakistan, our military should be very cautious in supporting the Afghan Taliban. What if the Afghan Taliban, after coming to power in Kabul, support the Pakistani Taliban? After all, nuclear-armed Pakistan is a bigger prize than even Afghanistan. GHQ should revisit the infection in the armed services of jihadi sympathisers. A nightmare scenario is looming if we do not give up the idea of ‘strategic depth’, which may eventually turn out to be ‘strategic death’. *

A difficult but necessary transition ---- Dr Manzur Ejaz
Therefore, the Supreme Court of Pakistan’s heavy reliance on the judgements of Indian courts — the institution of a secular, conceived to be an enemy state — shows that whether the judges like it or not, those are the only judicial precedents that are relevant and can be of any use. I would like to add here that most judges may not have wanted to use the precedents of secular non-friendly state(s) but they had no other way. This is how historical determinism functions.

US plans 75pc increase in drone operations
WASHINGTON: The US defence budget for 2011 seeks more funds to enhance drone operations by 75 per cent, citing its success in targeting militants in Afghanistan and Pakistan’s tribal belt.

“With this funding, we will increase the unmanned Predator and Reaper orbits from 37 to 65, while enhancing our ability to process, exploit and disseminate information gathered by this game-changing technology,” said Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen.

“As we’ve seen firsthand through eight years of war, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance assets are absolutely critical enablers for the war-fighter,” he said.

I suppose he means that Pakistani judges find it too demanding to pass judgments de novo that will be seen to be of high caliber and withstand legal scrutiny.

Shortcut is some serious practitioner of madrassa math and some beshawar bookkeeping. Mushy's regime has been one big lootfest, underwritten by common abduls of Pakistan.
Rs256bn loans written off since 1971, SC told

The State Bank informed the Supreme Court on Tuesday that commercial banks had written off loans of up to Rs256 billion

Of the amount written off...loans of Rs500,000 or more ... Rs202.5 billion due from 22,021 borrowers from 1997 to 2009. {Dont get fooled by "from 1971". This is the interesting number. So from '71 to 97 Rs. 55 billion has been written off. It is likely that these were genuine defaults.}

The report submitted by Iqbal Haider requested the court to ignore an earlier list compiled by 33 banks and four development finance institutions (DFIs) suggesting that Rs193.4 billion owed by 93 borrowers had been written off. { :rotfl: So 22,021-93 = 21928 borrowers defaulted on the rest of the 9.1 billion. Most likely these were corner chai dukaan owners who genuinely couldnt pay their loan because they went out of business. The 93 who owe Rs193.4 billion are the real culprits. The rest of the numbers are just "padding" to make sure the 93 are "lost". More over, how can one "ignore" submission to a court? Was it a lie? then it is perjury! was it incompetence of willful negligence? Then they have committed contempt of court!}

50,427 people, including politicians, civil and military business concerns and business tycoons of Karachi, Lahore and other cities had been favoured through the scheme to waive off outstanding loans in 2002. Soon after the October 2002 elections, the then finance minister Shaukat Aziz and his financial team at the SBP approved the loan write-off scheme after succumbing to pressures exerted by certain top leaders of the then ruling party to ease financial burden on their businesses.

Ethno-linguistic conflict in Karachi with the Urdu speaking Muslim Mohajir’s represented by the MQM facing off against the Pashto speaking Muslim Pathans represented by the ANP:

Eight killed as violence flares up in Karachi
The bloodbath in Karachi continues:

Death toll reaches 17 in 3 days: Five more killed in violence
The death toll from five days of violence in the current round of blood letting in Karachi has climbed to 35:

No let-up in killings as 11 more die

Is it somehow halal in an “Islamic Republic” and “Ideological Muslim State” like Pakistan for Urdu speaking Mohajir Muslim’s to kill Pashto speaking Pathan Muslim’s and vice versa?

Predators pound terrorist camp in North Waziristan ---- LWJ
Five unmanned US strike aircraft, likely the Predators and Reapers, are reported to have fired 18 missiles at a camp and vehicles in the village of Datta Khel, a known al Qaeda and Taliban stronghold. This is the largest recorded US airstrike in Pakistan, indicating a top al Qaeda, Taliban, or Haqqani Network leader, or leaders, may have been present.

India building 5 dams in J&K for a total of 3,900 MW

The article goes on to say "Documents available with Dawn suggest that the Indian government has handed over the security of the five projects to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) — a specialised division of the Indian armed forces that provides security cover to the country’s missions abroad and UN peacekeeping operations, besides private and cooperative establishments in the country."

Are we really building 5 dams in J&K? If so, I love this outbreak of balls-itis

Kayani: We want a strategic depth in Afghanistan but do not want to control it

What is this guy trying to say? That Afghanistan should be willing to become the 5th province of Pakistan but Pakistan should not have any responsibility towards it?

Extract: In a rare press briefing, General Kayani said it would be a cause of worry for Pakistan if Afghanistan’s projected army developed the potential to take on Pakistan.

Just this statement should make Indian planners sit up & rub their hands with glee. Pinaka & BrahMos regiments on their eastern flank and a well equipped, hostile ANA to their west.

During the process of jury selection for her trial for attempted murder in New York, Dr Aafia Siddiqui alleged that she could not get a fair trial because she felt “everyone here is” a Jew. She said she would “boycott” the trial unless the Jews on the jury were removed.
Because defendants have the right to have jurors removed from their trial, Dr Aafia was successful in having Jewish Americans taken off the jury.

So we hear that 5 Drone-acharyas became Varuna and rained 18 missiles on a camp in N.Waziristan...

Clearly this attack was aimed at a perceived high value target or two.

I doubt that there is any new intel on Osama or Zawahiri, so this could be Sirajuddin Haqqani perhaps? Maybe it is a meeting of Haqqani and his lieutenants, including Hafiz Gul Bahadur, who controls this region reputedy.
