An Indian enamoured of Pakistan
The Pakistani magic of taking Indian journalists under PA's wing for a brief sojourn there is making wonders. Yet another Indian journalist who recently visited Pakistan and came back with fond memories.
The meat
Yes, that's right. The meat. There always, always seems to be meat in every meal, everywhere in Pakistan. Every where you go, everyone you know is eating meat. From India, with its profusion of vegetarian food, it seems like a glimpse of the other world. The bazaars of Lahore are full of meat of every type and form and shape and size and in Karachi, I have eaten some of the tastiest rolls ever. For a Bengali committed to his non-vegetarianism, this is paradise regained. Also, the quality of meat always seems better, fresher, fatter, more succulent, more seductive, and somehow more tantalizingly carnal in Pakistan.{The Indian meat is darker as well while at Lahore it was fairer} Hindol Sengupta is Associate Editor, Bloomberg UTV
Even the most die-hard inner-pak lover cannot avoid inserting a line that takes away all their H&D...he also clarifies what keeps him going...something inside a lifafa..
And oh, here's the best thing. Indian rupee is worth almost double the Pakistani rupee, so everything is at a 50 percent discount. Naturally, I love Pakistan!

Makes one wonder "from where" that description of "Meat" entered his body!!

Is pork not meat? Is it, somehow, not carnal? And is there anything fresher, fatter, more succulent than a gammon? Does Hindol miss that too? Or is it just Pakistani meat that gains her her paradise...
ISLAMABAD: The shortage of locomotives in the Pakistan Railways has reached such a crisis stage that an emergency plan to procure 150 engines from reliable international suppliers has been put together as the Chinese suppliers have failed to deliver, senior officials of Railways told our sources.
General Manager Railways Shahid Ahmad on Thursday night confirmed .. that the top Railways management had finally decided to drop the idea of acquiring 75 locomotives from the Chinese company as 32 previously supplied engines out of 69 have been scrapped after they became unserviceable.
Sources say the Chinese supplier has also refused to honour the warranty on these 32 locomotives as they are rotting in Railways sheds in Karachi and Lahore. Purchase of 69 sub-standard locomotives from China by spending billions of rupees was one of the initial mega corruption scandals against General Pervez Musharraf and his team.
Did we notice this edit before? If not then one of the most hilarious one. Madam jalebi in her full swing. Couldnt stop laughing all the way through Demonising Pakistan

Still some reporters say Chinese railway is better than Indian railway. is it because China exports cr@p engines abroad and use the better ones in their country

No, probably Musharraf and his cronies imported used engines paying used prices to the Chinese and passed them off as new in Pakistan, pocketing the difference.
(Not very far-fetched, long ago some folks in the Kerala State Electricity Board ran a similar scam with respect to transformers.)

Madam in her anger is failing to see the self goals she is scoring. Faisal Shahzad if he were connected to TTP, means Unkil will be forced to take actions on TTP helping the Pakis. Faisal Shahzad if he were not connected to TTP means that any normal ordinary Paki in US, irrespective of whether he has connection to taliban can turn out to be a terrorist, thereby putting everybody who is a Paki or of Paki origin in the US under a cloud of "reasonable suspicion" which would mean surveillance and raids.
Paki propensity to preserve H&D means that they run headlong into scoring self goals.
The Hizb leader Syed Salahuddin will return to his home in Srinagar.
Noorani also reveals which generation he belongs to:
The former foreign minister Khurshid Kasuri has authoritatively established that such an accord was reached. Is it to be discarded because it bears the Musharraf tag? No responsible parent rejects a proposal for their daughter’s marriage because he or she disapproves of the boy’s father; especially if he is separated from the father, the daughter is none too young and other proposals are not in sight.
I want to see this posted on paki deaf & dumb forum to see their reaction. But alas I know what it will be after islam if there something else pakis can go to hilt to protect it is their taller than mountain friends H&D. If this is the quality of railway engines then what will be the qulity of JF 17 bundar

The guy also has his economic fundas screwed. Even if Indian rupee (INR) is 2x Pakistani rupee (PKR), the prices of most essential goods in Pakland are more than their Indian equivalent in INR. You hear Pakis crying about rising costs and the fact that they have to import onions, goats, mangoes, cotton, razor blades etc. from India, since the Indian goods are cheaper! So if an item costs Rs. 50 in India, the same item costs something like PKR 120 to 150 in Pakistan.
A_Gupta, yes, it was Dong Feng (why has everything got to be Dong Feng in PRC ?) that originally supplied in 2001 those defective engines. Lt. Gen Javed Ashraf Qazi (ex-ISI Chief and brother of that arrogant Pakistani ambassador to India, Ashraf Jehangir Qazi) made huge money. He was then shifted to Education Ministry from the Railways, IIRC. The PR had to get some German expertise to fix the defective Chinese locos but the locos were beyond redemption. By that time, Pakistan had even demolished platforms and re-built them to take the Chinese locos.
The railway engines will be provided by Messrs Dong Fang Electric Corporation (DEC)
PR uses broad gauge that is practically unique to subcontinent. PRC is all standard gauge. So it makes sense for TSP to import from India....it would also be in indian interest because there would be a few lesser Pakis thanks to our fire prone coaches and derail/accident prone rakes...

Can we ship Indian tanks using the same gauge inside TSP so that we can have deep military logistics inside Pakistan.

Did this distinguished journalist in India go outside the 3 city centers in TSP? Did he go to the villages, towns, even their tier 2 cities?
Most Indians go to TSP, stay in their three cities (Lahore, Islaaamabad, Karachi) and that too in the small neghborhoods of their paki friends, drive on the motorway from Lhore to Slumbad and presto they have seen entire TSP.
Ask them to go to a typical Paki village and a typical Punjab Village.

Tanks on train? I thought it was jeeps that had their wheelbase match railway widths...wonder if the track would be usable after a couple of tanks pass over them.

End result: Pakistan is crying out and saying that India's and Pakistan's intel agencies should end their 'cold war' and solve differences.
Bottom Line: Pakistan is scared shitless because it is going down the sinkhole, and it is Taquiya time.

PESHAWAR, Pakistan — A suspected U.S. missile strike killed at least five people in the Khyber tribal region of northwest Pakistan on Saturday, in what would be one of the first such attacks in the area, intelligence and government officials said.
U.S. missiles have regularly pounding al-Qaida and Taliban targets along the Afghan border for two years now. The attacks have killed scores of people, most of them identified as militants by Pakistani officials. But they have caused anger in Pakistan, where many people see them as an unacceptable violation of the country's sovereignty.
The suspected strike in Khyber could fan fresh anger because it represented a widening of the covert program.
Officials gave differing death tolls in the strike, which one said involved two missiles hitting a house and two trucks loaded with militants. The death toll ranged from 5 to 15. Such discrepancies are common and are rarely reconciled.
Danish Kaneria, Essex's Pakistani leg spinner, and young fast bowler Mervyn Westfield have been arrested by Essex police on suspicion of conspiracy to commit fraud following the police's investigation into alleged spot-fixing, in Essex's Pro40 match against Durham, last September.
According to British media, both the players appeared at Brentwood police station on Friday and were questioned before being released on bail until September 15.
Neither has yet been charged with any offence and are free to continue playing cricket until then, reports added.
The CIA is using new, smaller missiles and advanced surveillance techniques to minimize civilian casualties in its targeted killings of suspected insurgents in Pakistan's tribal areas, according to current and former officials in the United States and Pakistan.
... several small missiles are available to the agency, including the 21-inch Small Smart Weapon, created by Lockheed Martin. Weighing 35 pounds and having roughly the diameter of a coffee cup, the Scorpion, as it is now called, was designed to be launched from the Predator. It causes far less destruction than a Hellfire, and it can be fitted with four different guidance systems that allow it to home in on targets as small as a single person, in complete darkness, according to U.S. officials familiar with the missile.
The agency is also using a variety of warheads for the Hellfire, one former senior intelligence official said. Among them is a small thermobaric warhead, which detonates a cocktail of explosive powders on impact to create a pressure wave that kills humans but leaves structures relatively intact. The wave reaches around corners and can penetrate the inner recesses of bunkers and caves, according to weapons experts.

Wow, the Pakis actually get a glimpse of jahannum before getting to meet their 72...
Thanks Rahul!
It gives me great pleasure to know that Pakistanis have become the test subjects of Smart Weapons programme of Lockheed Martin and other defense majors. Pakistan as a whole will be the new weapons testing facility for the Americans. Wonder what kind of new weapons are being field tested daily on pakis.
