Earthquake in Indian Ocean near Andaman Nicobar.
Re: Earthquake in Indian Ocean near Andaman Nicobar.
Yeah, I saw this a few hours ago, so I hopped online, and there were a few bloggers from Calcutta, Bangalore and Chennai jabbering about it. I then went on Google's Twitter search, since Twitter is probably the best thing for breaking news like this, and saw people largely regurgitating the same news.
I then went out to see a movie ("The A-Team", which was okay, but not fantastic)
Looks like it was first called 7.7, then downgraded to 7.5, and a tsunami warning was immediately issued but later withdrawn. So all in all, not too much there.

If it had to cause a tsunami, it would have caused one hours ago.
The first quake (in a series of quakes that regularly occur in the A&N island chain):

Notice the depth of the quake. This depth, apart from the frequencies of the quake, distinguishes a quake from a N-weapons test....
The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake struck at 1:26 a.m. Sunday about 95 miles west of the Nicobar Islands at a depth of about 22 miles.
