Finally reports of the two pig LeTs comingout.
Nashik and Deolali Army camp targets
The inclusion of Indian army caps shows these are TSPA related terrorists.
But why this camp in particular?

Abdul Nasser Madani's bail plea dismissed
Citing security interests of the state and the country, a local court today dismissed the bail plea of PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madani, an accused in the 2008 Bangalore serial blast case.
In its order, the fast track court said the material produced by prosecution so far revealed that there was a prima facie case against Madani.
Holding that there was a prima facie case against Madani, the Karnataka High Court last week had dismissed a criminal petition filed by him, seeking quashing of a charge sheet regarding the case.
The judicial custody of Madani, who was arrested at Kollam in Kerala on August 17, ends tomorrow.

Re: Internal Security Watch
W.r.t the case of Mahdani, I expect some more show downs to happen between Kerala Govt. and Karnataka Govt. Mahdani has been peddling the same claim over and over again (to any court that he steps in). That he is physically handicapped, and that he provided with category B security by K.P. So the PSOs log book would show the evidence that he was not in Coorg the day as alleged by Karnataka's finest. Karnataka Police would have to then question the K.P PSOs detailed for escort duty with Mahdani.
Karnataka police issue notice to Madhani's securitymen
Bangalore: The Karnataka police issued once again a notice to the security guards of PDP chairman Abdul Nassar Madhani asking then to appear before them. The notice was issued to Shahjahan, Nabeel, Sajeev and Basheer and directed them to appear before them with a week.

Interesting that KP is following the formula of deputing only IMs for Madhani and we claim to be a secular state...

Letter in the Chindu:

Secualrism ki jai. From now on, it seems that one would have to tread carefully even when interacting with a person/friend named "Mohammed" since it is a "special name" and can lead to serious issues if misunderstood..!The brutal attack on Mr. Joseph is condemnable but retaining a lecturer who tried to disturb communal harmony in the college is not possible. I welcome the Newman College's act of dismissing him. Mr. Joseph was a lecturer, not a layman. He should have known that Muhammad is not just a simple, “popular name.” If he didn't, he was not fit to be a senior lecturer in a college. While I have sympathy for him, I cannot justify his deed.

Yes. They were all part of the Armed Reserved (AR) Camp at Kollam. PSOs are deputed from the district level AR Camps. But as of now all these police men have been moved to various local police stations *. Shahjahan is still at Kollam (and now on sick leave), while the others are now moved to various police stations in northern parts of Kerala.sum wrote:Are all the named from KP? The name of one police constable looks like a Hindu name. But other wise deputing the VIPs co-religionists may be for simpler reasons. PSOs are to be present always with VIP, so same food habits, same religion etc. would make the life of the VIP and PSO more easy

* In KP the route for every police constable is Armed Police Battalion -> Dist. AR Camp-> PS in one's own mother district.

In yesterday's The Hindu, K.N.Panikkar had written an article (normally I ignore him but for a change read that) where he said the following:sum wrote:Letter in the Chindu:Secualrism ki jai. Among Hindus, Rama and Krishna are popular names and are worshipped as incarnations of god. Imagine a situation in which a reference to these names, in literature or academic texts or in a question paper, is considered blasphemous! If this happens, soon writers will find it difficult to give a name to their characters.
Re: Internal Security Watch
SSridhar, K.N Panikkar et.al were the once upon a time champions in defending any Muslim atrocity cooking up excuses of Khilfat, Independence struggle. He was (and most likely is) part of the commie brigade of historians who tried to get legitamacy for many RoP committed atrocities. Have a re-read at the article. Panikkar's diatribe is mostly against the church management who gave a double-whammy to the college professor (by dismissing him). He talks about bringing private educational system under government control (in other words under commie control).
And he sums up by..
.
And he sums up by..
So nothing has changed and it is all equal-equal. Also Comrade Panikkar does not show any evidence as to when Hindus started influencing educational practises, especially by threat of violence. As the saying goes.."even if you put a dogs tail for 1000 years in a steel pipe, at the end of it it would still remain curved"

Had it ever really stopped? Contrast this with the hue and cry raised when some people in Jammu had (misguidedly) blocked the highway to the Valley for a couple of days at the time of the Amarnath land agitation.
Manipuris are better off getting their necessities from Myanmar.

Re: Internal Security Watch
As the CWG draws closer such attacks should come as no surprise. I am just appalled that in a city like Delhi with its chocking traffic,it is so easy to fire and get away on a motorcycle!
Re: Internal Security Watch
The first shot has been fired from the Paki side ...Lets see how we respond to this and a clue as to our intel preparedness will be in how fast we get hold of these 2 motorcycles and their riders.
Hope that the 2 Taiwanese tourists are not serious else all hell will break loose ( with regards to CWG)..
Also, the 20mn $ taqqaiya paid by MMS to Pakis recently doesnt seem to have worked..

Latest on Madhani issue is that his gunman H.C. Shajahan will appear before Bangalore Police as a part of ongoing investigations. The KP diary keeping track of Madhani's movements will also be submitted. Meanwhile there is a hue & cry in Kerala over State Govt providing 4 gunmen for Madhani's protection when even ministers are provided only two gunmen.
Bangalore Police has alleged that Mr. Shajahan was reported unfit for the post of Madhani's gunman by state intelligence but GoK went ahead.

The dynamics between US & Pak and India & Pak are entirely different. It was unwise on our part to expect that USD 20 M would temporarily buy-off TSP. What drives TSP is unbridled hatred for India and an overwhelming desire to destroy us. These cannot be bought off. TSP has to be crushed.sum wrote:Also, the 20mn $ taqqaiya paid by MMS to Pakis recently doesnt seem to have worked..

After gunfire, car bomb goes off near Jama Masjid
Just hours after an attack on a vehicle carrying foreign tourists outside the Jama Masjid in Delhi [ Images ], a car went up in flames when a "crudely-circuited" pressure cooker bomb exploded metres away from the spot.
The incident took place at around two pm, some 50 metres away from Gate No 3 of Jama Masjid and near a police station where two men had earlier in the day fired at a visiting five-member Taiwanese media crew, injuring two of them.
"The car went up in flames due to a crudely-circuited pressure cooker bomb," a senior police official said.
Investigators suspect the involvement of a "group of disgruntled youth or local criminals" who wanted to create a scare in the area.
Asked whether terrorist groups like Indian Mujahideen [ Images ] could be behind the incident, Delhi Police spokesperson Rajan Bhagat said the pressure cooker bomb was "poorly circuited and crudely assembled".
"It appears to be a local gang or disgruntled youths," he said.

Could be local IM youth wanting to hit two birds with one stone - CWG & Babri sentence. Not hard to disappear in the many ghettos that surround the Jama Masjid & apparently, the Police cannot enter those areas without political backing & huge numbers.
Re: Internal Security Watch
Since it is INC govt in Dilli state and centre and Babri judgement day nearing, wont expect "massive" raids in known ghettos and the issue will allow to be hushed up.. Am only praying to god that Chidu doesn't come on TV and start blaming the saffron terrorists for this when faced with no leads..
Welcome back, IM ( Indian Mujahideen)...had been some time since we last saw you in action. Wonder why the sudden re-activation? INC GoI has reduced the intense pressure they had on the group since last 2 years?

Regarding Chidu, he is only plotting his rise and nothing else. Some of his decisions looks good but I don't see anything in the nation's interest and good things are coincidental (in fact they are realy good too). For his types ( with no electoral block), the rise of INC in the hindi heartland is not good as he will lose all leaverage if Rahul become PM. So he is only helping the demise of INC (Telangana is one such great thing he did on that end and the dhimmi Telugus are bakara/colleteral damage ) and also making sure it never rises again in North India (saffron comments etc. are in that line so that Forward castes will not move to INC). If the Ayodhya title goes in favor of Temple that will be final nail in the North Indian INC folks. With INC decimated and a new third front arises he is plotting to dream of a consensus candidate of a secular front. Remember he has no enemies across the political spectrum.
His JK comments are in line with that of Left parties and his plot is in full speed. The game is simple and it is known to the likes of Digvijay Singh and the Dwivedis and Trivedis of the north.

Re: Internal Security Watch
Our people are bleeding and you will too: IM
However, the small impact and modus operandi of this attack seems to suggest that the IM capability has been severely curtailed compared t their peak of 2007-08 when they were toying with GoI..
The IM group name seems to be deliberately being downplayed by both Delhi Police ( calling it local gangs etc) and MSM, most probably on instructions of GoI...The Indian Mujahideen [ Images ] has claimed responsibility for the Jama Masjid shootout incident on Sunday, and issued a threat to the government not to hold the 2010 Commonwealth Games [ Images ] in Delhi [ Images ].
The mail, which was sent to a new channel by the IM, claims responsibility for the attack and says that this is in memory of the persons who lost their lives in the infamous Batla House encounter.
The mail sent from the id al.arbi999123 @ gmail.com says don't show courage in organising the CWG.
'We know the preparations are on in full swing. Be prepared, we are preparing a shocking event and those participating in the games will hold themselves responsible for the consequences.'
The mail also goes on term Atif Amin and Mohammed Sajid as martyrs.
'The death of these two boys in the Batla house encounter will be avenged.'
The mail also refers to the Mumbai [ Images ] Anti-Terrorist Squad, which has been carrying out arrests of it cadres.
'Innocent Muslim youth are being arrested and this is not right.'
It also speaks about the use of excessive force in Kashmir [ Images ] and states that 'our people are bleeding and you will too'.
The mail calls on all Muslims to revolt and protest the happenings in Kashmir.
Indian intelligence agencies say that it appears that a local module of the IM could have sent out this mail.
At first it appeared as though a relatively new group had carried out this attack.
Eyewitness accounts speak of automatic weapons being used and this indicates that the men who opened fire were trained thoroughly.
An IM angle cannot not be ruled considering the area in which it took place, the IB says.
They have at least four of their modules in the area and are quite capable of carrying out an attack of this nature. However, this attack appears more of a revenge tactic for the Batla House encounter and also a fear creating mechanism ahead of the games.
The IM has been lying low after a spate of arrests and were making a desperate attempt to bounce back and hence were desperate to carry out an attack.
Looking at the attack on Sunday, it is clear that they wanted to target foreign nationals since this would create much more impact.
During the previous security meetings in the run up to the CWG, IB reports had specifically spoken of similar kinds of attacks. It was said that dedicated enclosed routes have to be provided for the transportation of the players since terror groups will be looking to create a hostage crisis and also opening fire on the buses that they would be travelling in.
The Delhi Police are, however, mum on any terror angle and say that they are focusing on nabbing the two men who opened fire.
However, the small impact and modus operandi of this attack seems to suggest that the IM capability has been severely curtailed compared t their peak of 2007-08 when they were toying with GoI..
