Dhow with Pakistanis aboard detained off Lakshadweep
An Indian warship on patrol in the Arabian Sea detained an Iranian dhow, with four Iranians and 15 Pakistanis on board, in India's Exclusive Economic Zone on Friday. The dhow had been sailing nearly 300 nautical miles west of the Bitra island in Lakshadweep around 2 p.m. Fishing gears were also recovered from the single-motor sailing vessel, which was escorted by INS Rajput, a destroyer, to Kavaratti.
“The crew members do not appear to possess any valid document, but all details would only be known after interrogation,” sources in the Navy said.
India recently deployed a multiship force in the Arabian Sea in view of a spurt in poaching and piracy-related incidents in the Exclusive Economic Zone.
Following the detention of the vessel, the Navy and the Coast Guard have intensified patrolling in the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean, mobilising their ships, patrol vessels and maritime patrol aircraft.
“The Navy is continuing to deploy additional ships and aircraft to carry out anti-piracy sanitisation in the area west of the Lakshadweep islands. Through its sustained presence in the Gulf of Aden and swift action in other hot spots of piracy in the Arabian Sea, the Navy has ensured reduction in incidents of piracy in the region,” a statement said.

Dear BRFites and Mujahids,
My humble self has lately tried his hand at writing an ebook, after some garus here put the idea in my head. It tries to propose a roadmap for kicking Pakistan and its name into the dustbin of history, and much more! I have a version ready, which I am now ready to distribute. I've decided for the moment that I'll send it to BRFites who are interested by email only. Not everything in the ebook is for general viewing.
Should there be any interest, please let me know by publishing your email addresses here temporarily!
Thanks,
RajeshA

COAS respects political leaders
SLUM-BAD (Agencies) – Pakistan Army stressed its loyalty to civilian politics after diplomatic correspondence leaked by whistleblowers WikiLeaks said the military had considered deposing the country’s president.
In the military’s first response to the allegations, spokesman Major General Athar Abbas said Saturday “the army has a demonstrated policy of supporting the political process within the confines of constitution of Pakistan.”![]()
Abbas also said that Kayani “holds all national leaders in esteem,” including the main opposition leader Nawaz Sharif.
According to a cable quoted by The New York Times, Kayani told the US ambassador during a March 2009 meeting that he “might, however reluctantly,” pressure Zardari to resign.
Kayani was quoted as saying that he might support Asfandyar Wali Khan, leader of the opposition Awami National League Party, as the new president - but not Nawaz Sharif.
Kayani aired the idea during a round of meetings with Patterson in March 2009 as opposition leader Nawaz Sharif rallied thousands of supporters in a street movement that threatened to topple the government.
The general said that while he disliked Zardari, he distrusted Sharif even more, and appeared to be angling for a solution that would prevent the opposition leader from coming to power.

That is not hacking. Its simply redirecting the webpage to a pre-made webpage of the hackers. The site and its data is totally unharmed. Here is a schematic of what happened.

Comrade Lal Khan has nothing to say about the Marxist revolution in Pakistan? What about the mighty Pakistani proletariat? Do they not yearn for a revolutionary socialist alternative? Surely the Pakistani proletariat must be 10 times more mighty than its Indian one? The revolution there must be ten times more imminent.Today, however, there is ferment in the ranks of these left parties. The workers and the youth are yearning for a revolutionary socialist alternative. The jury is still out on Maoism and guerrilla tactics in a relatively industrialised society. It is the mighty Indian proletariat that has to lead the revolution. And a Marxist leadership will ensure its victory.
I had no idea that JNU offered distance learning programmes in Pakistan.

What does that mean with 2.5K TFTA gazis of TSPA now 6 feet under in 1Yr. 15 years means we see lot more graveyards n pakistan or with $12B in 8 years means more $$ flowing in?ISLAMABAD: The US embassy in Islamabad had said last year that the fight against Al Qaeda and other militants operating in Pakistan will last 10-15 years, secret diplomatic cables released by WikiLeaks have revealed.

RajeshA-ji,
Your book is super cool. I started reading it like 5 mins ago, and I am already hooked by the language and the BR terminology used.
I have to say that using a BR terminology word, one doesn't have to waste bandwidth trying to explain things!
The book is elaborate to say the least!

Yes, exactly. We can access these websites directly if we have their web addresses.SSridhar wrote:JamesB, so if we have an IP address, we can access these sites directly, you mean ?
The Pakistani hackers used something called "cache poisoning" to redirect the people who type cbi.nic.in website to their website where the hackers post their message while in reality the website per se is safe without any compromise of data.

A slap in the face of Pakistan

One used to wonder as to why the American ambassador and visitors from the US and the UK had so much access to our top decision-makers, including the President, the Prime Minister and the Chief of Army Staff. Imagine Anne Patterson meeting COAS Kayani four times in a week during the long march days in March 2009, and what the General was telling her about highly sensitive matters. More about it later. Every Congressman or woman, and even junior US state diplomat officials, could sail through to the PM’s office and the presidency, and discuss matters of high importance. (It is unthinkable that this could happen in India and other independent countries.)
Re: Terrorist Islamic Republic of Pakistan (TSP): Oct. 20, 2
Beware, General Kayani —Shahzad Chodhrery
http://www.dailytimes.com.pk/default.as ... 2010_pg3_2The Petraeus-Kayani relationship has not been too cosy. They happen to be the two fighting generals on either side of the Pak-Afghan border. And Petraeus has been carrying that sharp edge to his generalship. He may have difficulties with the administration in Washington too but tends to wash those away with an aggressive demeanour. He does not get along well with Karzai. He actually does not get along well with anyone who wishes to tell him that there is no military solution to Afghanistan. He is a desperate, frustrated commander whose COIN strategy, which he claimed had seen success in Iraq, is being blown to smithereens by these half-savage, half-nomad vagabonds of the Taliban. Petraeus is unwilling to let politics take precedence in the endgame. Kayani is all about politics as the only means to bring both peace and stability.
In the October strategic dialogue between Pakistan and the US, Kayani was frustrated that Pakistan’s preferred plan of options was not reaching the highest leadership in the US. He handed President Obama, when he dropped in on the Pakistani principals of the dialogue, a14-page document detailing precisely what Pakistan thought that the US needed to hear. Obama’s December review of Afghanistan would hopefully reflect what those with their ear to the ground in Afghanistan can suggest as the graceful way out. Petraeus would not be too pleased with that; he wants to fight his way out.
As with Petraeus, many in the American system now view Kayani as the stumbling block. They quote the army’s effort to scuttle the Kerry-Lugar-Berman Law, the suspension of supplies through Pakistan, the reluctance of the Pakistani army to begin operations in North Waziristan, Kayani’s alleged reservations on enabling a direct contact between Karzai and Mullah Baradar without including Pakistan in the discussions, and so on. Pakistan has explicitly stated that any parleys to settle the Afghan imbroglio must have Pakistani participation. Kayani also feels that while the US charts its own course of a political resolution, it pushes Pakistan on the warpath. Pakistan’s stability and survival is linked to the Afghan endgame; it at the least deserves a ringside seat when decisions impacting its own future are taken.

PIA passenger plane fired at in Karachi
According to officials, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight from Multan to Karachi, was about to land at the Karachi airport when it was fired upon while passing over the Malir area which is close to the airport.
“The pilot realising the situation displayed lot of courage and sense to land the aircraft safely but obviously the incident has caused lot of concern in the aviation industry,” said one CAA official.
In November, Karachi witnessed two big aircraft crashes both near the airport soon after the planes took off.
