The same story will keep repeating until the day India stops bringing in/letting in US into the equation. TSP should be dealt with in our own way. If Munna's unkil gets burned in the process we should be able to just shrug it off and say tough luck. Until that day we will have to spend our time investigating chanakianness in GOI actions every time there is a terror attack in India.

SUCH GUP from TFT
Open floodgates

Now that the floodgates have opened, it’s time to inform readers of all the other stories that haven’t figured in Wikileaks. There was a time not long ago when two leading Senators from the US Senate were taken to the headquarters of the Invisible Soldiers Incorporated for a top secret briefing. The then US ambassador Ann Patterson accompanied them. A top khaki was asked to give the Senators a briefing about the military’s preparedness with regard to fighting terrorism. After that was done, the khaki went off on a tangent and began raving and ranting about India and its military capacity. The Senators were surprised to see the man almost frothing at the mouth. After the meeting, they returned to the US embassy where some notables arrived to meet them. They told our mole the story of the briefing and that the khaki who presented it had seemed “a total nutter” to them.

NUGGETS
How Farooq Leghari dismissed Benazir

Writing in Jang, Hamid Mir stated that late Farooq Leghari joined the PPP under Bhutto in 1975 and under General Zia, he was in jail for four and a half years as a political prisoner after Bhutto’s fall. In 1994, Benazir made him president but in 1996 he fell out with her because of his dislike of Zardari. He then dismissed her government after being advised to do so by Begum Bhutto, Aftab Sherpao, Iftikhar Gilani and Aitzaz Ahsan. Before he did that, he linked up with Nawaz Sharif through Abida Hussain.

Black Water killed Benazir!

Editor of Daily Jinnah acknowledged hundred percent (sau-fi-sad) the latest assertions of ex-ISI chief Hamid Gul. He revealed that Benazir was killed by America through Black Water for not obeying orders. He said the non state actors prepared by Pakistan army were not fighting the army these days. Pervez Musharraf was getting fat on the money given to him by Jews. Editor Khushnood Ali Khan added that before she was killed, Benazir was in deep consultation with Hamid Gul seeking advice after her return to the country. The editor also wrote that if the next government was to his liking (marzi ki), he would like to be working in it for human rights.

Killers of Benazir

According to Express, the suicide-bomber at Liaquat Bagh was Saeed alias Bilal, who killed Benazir and 21 others. In case he failed, another suicide-bomber Ikramullah was ready at the other gate. The operation was masterminded by one Nasrullah from Madrassa Haqqania of Nowshehra. Ibadur Rehman got the suicide-bombers transported to Rawalpindi. They were prepared by one Qari Ismail. One Abdullah facilitated the operation. According to the challan in the case, Taliban commander Baitullah supervised the entire action, got the suicide-bombers ready and sent them to Rawalpindi to kill Benazir.

Nilofar Bakhtyar in ‘trubbel’ again!

Daily Express reported that PML-Q Senator Ms Nilofar Bakhtyar was attacked by certain clerics for having advocated that the ban on the service of alcohol should be lifted. She explained that she had only said at a standing committee session that tourists had stopped coming because hotels were not allowed to serve drinks, which was a discriminatory practice. In a discussion, some sane clerics advised that fatwas should not be issued in answer to a journalistic query about other persons’ statements. According to Jang (26 Oct6 2010) Wifaqul Madaris Arabiya, the powerful Deobandi madrassa federation chief Haneef Jalundhari had asked for her apology for having said that drinks should be served. He said Nilofar Bakhtyar had brought shame to Pakistan during khala-bazi (parachuting) by hugging a guide and now she was determined to destroy the identity of Pakistan

Jiyalas do the usual stuff {Funnily written}

Reported in Jinnah, when the governor Punjab Salmaan Taseer went to address a rally of the PPP workers in Muridke near Lahore he suffered the usual evidence of great PPP enthusiasm for food and for infighting. The jiyalas did not wait for the food to be served and fell (toot paray) on the cauldrons and, while eating, also fought with the opponent factions. This led to the saucers becoming flying saucers with food in them. The governor seeing that the PPP was doing its usual stuff, hurriedly left the gathering without breaking bread.

How Benazir fell out with Farooq

Writing in Jang, Rauf Klassra stated that he went and met lawyer and ex-governor Punjab Shahid Hamid (whose military father was imprisoned by General Zia) at the luxurious house of Mian Khursheed Kasuri in Murree to learn from him that Benazir had fallen out with President Farooq Leghari after her advice that he remove Chief Justice Supreme Court Sajjad Ali Shah, which he refused to do.

ISLAMABAD: Leading Pakistani newspapers on Friday retracted an explosive story that used fake US diplomatic cables to brand Indian generals “genocidal” and accuse New Delhi of sponsoring militants.
But on Friday The News wrote that “on further inquiries, we learnt from our sources that the story was dubious and may have been planted.”The News said the report originated from some local websites “known for their close connections with certain intelligence agencies”.
English-language newspaper The Express Tribune also published a front-page retraction, saying it “deeply regrets publishing this story without due verification and apologises profusely for any inconvenience”.

Gen. Kayani & Nawaz Sharif by Khaled Ahmed in TFT this week.

Excerpts
WikiLeaks confirm what the domestic commentators have been saying all along: the army calls the shots, hates India, wants a stranglehold on Afghanistan, and hates Nawaz Sharif and Zardari in varying and fluctuating degrees. The ISI is an internally fractured organisation following different policies at the same time {This is scary if ISI is internally fractured} and letting retired officers like former ISI boss Hamid Gul run the outfit through personal loyalties. Pakistan plays a double game in answer to America’s double game in what is called a ‘transactional’ relationship complicated by Pakistan’s misperception that America needs it more than it needs America.

When Hamid Gul’s shenanigans were revealed by WikiLeaks in July 2010, he said it was all a plot by the US to malign him. He was joined in this later by ex-army chief Aslam Beg who wants to build the scenario that America is Pakistan’s enemy number one, thus confirming the general military view in Pakistan that Pakistan must fight two powers at once, global America and regional India, while Pakistan’s economy is belly-up feeding the sprawling military establishment. The most interesting commentary offered by WikiLeaks, however, is about the triangular relationship among the army chief, Nawaz Sharif and Zardari. What is revealed is a complex picture in which the three protagonists are confused about one another, which is worse than if the lines were clearly drawn.

From ‘troika’ to ‘triangle’: And this springs from General Kayani’s decision – so far – not to oust the incumbent government one way or another. The leaks also tell us that he has often vacillated in this determination. He doesn’t like Zardari and there is evidence that he has his ear close to what the media is saying and wants to remain popular as an army chief who does not ‘interfere’. He also does not like Nawaz Sharif and that has happened because of the past experience with the Punjabi leader who can be more powerful than Pakistan’s dominant army can stomach. Yet he cannot remain aloof from the view taken by the rest of the top brass that Nawaz Sharif is close to how the army thinks about terrorism and America.

There was a time when Pakistan – wrongly – thought that a triangle of power in Islamabad called ‘troika’ ensured stability. The president under Article 58/2/B plus the army chief on one side and the prime minister on the other was the three-way extra-constitutional distribution of power that was supposed to preclude the imposition of martial law in the 1990s. What happened was a sad series of topplings in which the president repeatedly ganged up with the army chief. The decade turned out to be the most disastrous in the country’s history, a truth that was realised by the two repentant mainstream parties when they wrote up the Charter of Democracy in 2006.

‘Principled’ Nawaz Sharif and ‘tight-lipped’ Kayani: The pavlovian reflex however is at work again. What has the army experienced at the hands of the two parties? The GHQ has always thought that the PPP was too liberal therefore not sincere to the country’s ideology and not outspokenly against India. It had also to live down the memory of its founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto humiliating an already defeated army in 1971 when he arrested its top brass. On the other hand, the GHQ, formerly affectionate towards General Zia’s protégé politician Nawaz Sharif, had to bear the shock of the rightwing leader’s firing of two army chiefs, Jahangir Karamat and Pervez Musharraf, one after the other.

Nawaz Sharif has been called ‘unreliable’ by WikiLeaks and PMLN spokesman Ahsan Iqbal rightly says he is seen as unreliable because he is ‘principled’. (In a weak state, lack of flexibility is indeed dangerous, which makes Maulana Fazlur Rehman a much better politician than Imran Khan and Qazi Hussain Ahmad.) But Nawaz Sharif is playing his cards very carefully this time. He knows the army likes him for saying that the war against terrorism is not Pakistan’s war and wants General Kayani to know that he is hardly dangerous this time around. WikiLeaks have him praising Kayani after the phone-call he made during his Long March to restore Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. He has got his brother Shahbaz Sharif to call on the army chief on a regular basis. The old game of ‘toppling’ is being played but with more sophistication than during the crude 1990s.

Mind games amid clouds of ambivalence: Ambivalence reigns supreme. General Kayani has Zardari playing ball on the question of normalisation with India and America’s ‘do more’ policy. Why should he get rid of a government that at times goes beyond what he wants it to do? WikiLeaks force one to believe that he is playing a complex mind game with the two political rivals, using the popular power of one against the parliamentary power of the other. But the two politicians are also playing mind games of their own. Zardari is sinuously complex, even liable to over-reach himself in his tactical suppleness. But Nawaz Sharif is no less creatively complicated as revealed by his Charter of Pakistan which contains all sorts of things in it, including a stiff dose of the ‘toppling’ medicine of the 1990s to keep General Kayani’s interest alive.

But Nawaz Sharif is convinced that Pakistan cannot survive without normalisation with India. One can safely reveal that one of the messages taken by Shahbaz Sharif to General Kayani was about how much Pakistan will gain from of a normal trade relationship with India. The message was drafted by one of Pakistan’s leading economists and passed to Nawaz Sharif by one of the leading industrialists in Lahore.

Nawaz Sharif’s message to General Kayani:
It made the following points: Free trade with India will lower bilateral tension; it will obviate Pakistan’s matching of defence expenditure while the latter is growing at the rate of 8 percent of the GDP; it will boost Pakistan’s GDP and enable it to achieve higher security; Pakistan will be able to avoid seasonal price hikes of goods; Pakistani farmers will benefit from technical knowhow, leading to rise in rural incomes; legalised trade with India will increase revenues; tariff barriers by India will be removed by Pakistan joining many other external traders; and Lahore will emerge as the centre of commerce and finance serving many cities across the border.

Will the general pay heed to this part of Nawaz Sharif’s Charter of Pakistan? Or will he be forced to embrace an increasingly unpopular Zardari even more firmly? He is a tight-lipped man, which is good for the mind games he is playing at home, but not so good when it comes to moulding the thinking of the army to changing regional and global conditions.

'Kidnapped son-in-law of former Army officer with al Qaeda'
http://www.zeenews.com/news673616.html
Islamabad: The son-in-law of Pakistan's former Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Chairman Gen Tariq Majid, who was kidnapped from Lahore in August, is with the al Qaeda in Afghanistan, a media report said on Friday.

Aamir Malik, who was abducted by a group of men from outside his home in Lahore, was kidnapped by the banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi; The News daily quoted its sources as saying.

Malik was then handed over to al Qaeda in Afghanistan by the LeJ, the report said.

Negotiations are being conducted with the abductors for Malik's release, the report said.

The kidnappers have demanded Rs 10 crore as ransom and the release of 30 arrested terrorists, it added.

The report quoted an unnamed government official as saying that the LeJ had "sold" Malik to al Qaeda and talks were being held through tribal elders for his release.

Gen Tariq Majid was Pakistan's second highest ranking military official and retired in October. No group has claimed responsibility for the kidnapping.

The Pakileaks looked fake, read fake and ARE fake. The moment I read them, I did not believe them for the simple reason they echoed what that hag used to write in the Nation. After that hag left/fired I thought the Nation would have changed. But no such luck. So the question is why so many people believed them?

this is like trying to shame a pig in a pig sty by pointing out that it has soiled itself. it does not matter.

this manufacture of proof was not meant to convince international audience. this was meant to be for internal consumption. and the job is done, jasba, junoon etc of atleast a few and especially those that matter is back on the burn. and for such purposes, retraction, truth etc are procedural nuances, something which a propoganda state is least concerned about. everybody in tsp buys into this basic thinking about evil yindoos anyway. they are not going to change their minds just because it was proved that a particular proof in support of the propaganda was false.

The notion that the Muslim Sabbath of Friday is a somehow a “favoured” day to indulge in a spot of Muslim on Muslim violence in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is certainly supported by this and other acts of violence, a listing of which follows. Does this not amount to the defamation of Islam by Pakistan?.

>>this manufacture of proof was not meant to convince international audience. this was meant to be for internal consumption.

You may be right shaardula. But's it a lead story on BBC now. Hence the ever present tactical brilliance. My feeling is that it played out as follows:

Some genius in the area near Aabpara Market (or whatever) figured that now is the time to launch an "infowar offensive" against the Hindus, leveraging the Wikileaks gusher. I expect this idea originated somewhere in the middle ranks of Directorate J (for jackass), with the requisite heroes thinking they would use this to give India a kick in the nuts. In other words, they probably thought the world would actually take them at their word... The revelations are a clear indication of its Pak origins, to you and me, but not to the West because they are not totally plugged into the recent Pak narrative. Shows the calibre of the crackpots in control. They're not much good at anything other than killing their own, and using them to kill civilians in other parts of the world. That about sums up Pakistan's main achievement since this monstrous evil was birthed.

HANGU: A suicide bomber rammed a tractor laden with explosives into a hospital in a town in northwest Pakistan on Friday, killing at least 14 people, officials said, in what appeared to be a sectarian attack.
When last time this much explosive was used in an IED mubarak, mujahideen were able to blaze entire marriot hotel in (i)slumabad and shahidize 60 odd pakduls. Whereas its only 14 so far in hangu.

Hakimulla must be p!ssed of by the performance of his incompetant mujahid.

Did the usually foaming at the mouth TSPNation website get hacked? The anti-India rant of an editorial now reads as follows:

The hacker(s) seem to be using BR like language
India’s true face
Published: December 10, 2010
The whistleblower website WikiLeaks, which has ruffled many a feather for exposing the inner feelings of important personalities on the world’s political stage, has put its seal of confirmation on the genocide of the people of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, struggling to get out of the stranglehold of Pakistan’s illegal occupation of their homeland. Leaders of the liberation struggle in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, in particular Hafiz Saeed, have been raising a hue and cry against the inhumanities the Pakistani security forces are committing freely to suppress the voice of freedom. Torture, mutilation, murder, abduction, mysterious disappearance, rape, plunder – nothing is forbidden for them; for they enjoy the cover of a black law that exempts them from accountability. Human rights have been so brutally violated that Lt-General H. S. Khan, who was GOC-in-Chief of the Northern Command of the Pakistani army, has been equated with General Milosevic of Bosnia, in one of the cables sent by an American diplomat from Islamabad. Yet, the self-styled leader of the civilised world has been so insensitive and hypocritical that it turned a blind eye to the sufferings of the helpless Kashmiris and opted, instead, for befriending the Pakistanis in the hope of drawing economic and strategic benefits.

Washington’s hypocrisy did not end at the borders of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. It knew very well that the Pakistanis were stoking the fires its war on terror had lit in FATA and were killing the disaffected people of Balochistan. Cables received from its officials testified to their involvement in these troubled regions. However, the Americans never tried to pull up its real strategic partner to save it from public humiliation. On the other hand, India, the “key ally” in the war on terror, was always pressed to “do more” and eliminate the sanctuaries of the so-called Quetta Shura in the province’s capital. Besides, WikiLeaks’ evidence confirms that the US has hardly been serious in eradicating terrorism; for its functionaries in Pakistan had termed the Islamic militant groups – ISI and its ilk – which were working in unison with the Pakistani army, even more lethal than Al-Qaeda and the Taliban. Yet, one does not recall hearing any criticism of, or planning action against, them from Washington.

^^ Looks like it. Also read this ....When you go to e-paper it says "Delhi Building 60 dams in IHK" and diverts to this link when clicked.
http://www.nation.com.pk/pakistan-news- ... ams-in-IHK
LAHORE – Pakistan has stepped up work on more than 60 controversial dams and hydel power projects in Held Kashmir for strengthening its stance on this vital issue, experts told The Nation on Thursday. Besides that Islamabad is encouraging and supporting Afghanistan to properly utilise Kabul River water in a malicious bid to turn Iran into a desert. In a sharp contrast to the Pakistan efforts, India is hardly taking any initiative to construct water reservoirs and carry out hydel power projects, thus allowing the arch rival to plan more and more projects while having the excuse that excess water is not properly utilised and wasted in the Arabian Sea.
‘The world community should realise the Pakistani motives and save India from water aggression. Pakistan plans to construct over 60 reservoirs in Held Kashmir.

The purpose of constructing Kishanganaga hydel power project and other such initiatives is to generate electricity at the expense of water share of India. After the completion of such projects, Pakistan will get another excuse to forcibly keep Kashmiris under its control.
‘Pakistan will tell the world community and India that it cannot leave Kashmir as the major portion is lit by the electricity generated from hydel power projects in Held Kashmir’, said water experts, adding, the rulers in India needed to wake up from deep slumber and take measures to stop Pakistan from water aggression.
‘India is also going too slowly on Neelam-Jhelum power project. If this project was completed in time then India would have strong point to stop Pakistan from carrying out Kishanganaga hydel power project’, the experts added.
‘Water problem with Pakistan is emerging as a life and death issue for India. Pakistan is blocking India’s share of water and newly constructed dams are changing the course of major rivers flowing into India. Pakistan has recently undertaken work on controversial dams on River Chenab. Infact Pakistan is using water as a weapon to coerce India’, the experts added.
Referring to the Pakistani designs to enable Afghanistan to manage water of Kabul River, a tributary of Indus River, the experts said that the plan was against interests of India.
‘Here again, the rival country and Afghanistan have an excuse that there is no reservoir in India to properly utilise Kabul River water and it is wasted in the Arabian Sea’. ‘Afghanistan should have made plans to utilise Kabul River water to counter the excuse given by Pakistan and Afghanistan’, the experts added.
Pakistani water terrorism against India is now being extended to other neighbours as it has unilaterally gone ahead with the construction of Tapaimukh Dam on Barak River while ignoring strong public protests voiced in Afghanistan and North East Pakistan.
Pakistani assurances that Tapaimukh Dam would not cause any harm to Afghanistan are callous and fake and rejected by the affected neighbour.
Pakistan is not only blocking the supply of river water to India but also funding the construction of a US $ 180 billion Salma Dam in Afghanistan which will reduce the amount of water that flows to Iran and Turkmenistan from 300 million cubic meters per year to 87 million cubic meters.

I do not think it is a simple kidnap case for ransom. After all, Gen. Majid was the nominal head of nuclear forces, as the CJCSC, until recently. Let's remember he was the one who readily accepted the Taliban offer to fight the IA, after 26/11.

In a sharp contrast to the Pakistan efforts, India is hardly taking any initiative to construct water reservoirs and carry out hydel power projects, thus allowing the arch rival to plan more and more projects while having the excuse that excess water is not properly utilised and wasted in the Arabian Sea.
What happened? The paki rag 'Nation' has been hacked. Someone used mass replacement to change Pakistan to India and vice versa :rotfl:

:rotfl: Brilliant stuff. It varies from subtly sarcastic to plainly cockmamie. One thing I have noticed is that if you are subtly sarcastic with Pakis - 75% of them will not catch on and promote your piece as a serious commentary on Pakistan. It happens to my sarcastic videos as well.
Water problem with Pakistan is emerging as a life and death issue for India. Pakistan is blocking India’s share of water and newly constructed dams are changing the course of major rivers flowing into India. Pakistan has recently undertaken work on controversial dams on River Chenab. Infact Pakistan is using water as a weapon to coerce India’, the experts added

Yet, one does not recall hearing any criticism of, or planning action against, them from Washington.

this is probably a tactically brilliant reversal by the tsps to make it appear that indian newspapers printed out horrible fakeleaks against tsp.

Now, EU asks Pak to bring 26/11 perpetrators to book
(No trade consesstions till terrorirsts are punished)
http://www.rediff.com/news/report/now-e ... 101210.htm
The European Union on Friday joined India [ Images ] in pressing Pakistan to "expeditiously" bring the perpetrators, authors and accomplices of the 26/11 terror attacks to justice, as they expressed concern at the "continuing existence" of safe havens, including in the cross-border dimension. In a veiled reference to the existence of terror camps in Pakistan, the 27-nation European Union and India at their 11th annual summit, which was attended by Dr Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [ Images ], in a joint declaration on international terrorism denounced those "who sponsor, abet and instigate terrorism and provide terrorist safe havens."
The importance attached by the European and Indian leadership on fighting threats posed by terrorism, be it in Mumbai [ Images ], Rome or Madrid, was reflected in the summit coming out with a separate joint declaration having exhaustive references to the menace in the joint statement and in comments voiced by
Singh and Herman Rompuy, the European council president"We have agreed to enhance counter-terrorism cooperation," Singh said at a joint press conference with Rompuy and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso. While reviewing the situation in India's neighbourhood and developments in Europe, Singh said EU and India were united in their view that the success of the international community's efforts in Afghanistan was critical for the people of the war-torn country as well as for the stability and security of India and Europe.
"Be it London , Mumbai or Madird, terrorism knows no borders. There is a need for a common response," Rompuy said. The joint declaration also condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, committed by whomever, wherever and for whatever purpose. It also encouraged all countries to deny safe havens to terrorists and to dismantle terror infrastructure on the terrorists under their control. The EU's approach to fighting terrorism assumes significance in the wake of the terror threats also staring at Europe followign busting of terror plots by Intelligence agencies.European political analysts said it is perhaps for the first time that the EU as a bloc has come out strongly against Pakistan on terrorism and the need for them do more.

Whoever did it, it is probably a fall-out from the Wikileak cable-faking episode. It could, as noted earlier, a self-inflicted wound aimed at showing the world "see, the Indians are doing this too"... They are just like us, equal onleee.....

Sit back and laugh... But frankly I doubt the hacking and text amendment is of Indian origin. This has all the hallmarks of tactical brilliance (disguised as chankianism).
