I wholeheartedly endorse Kamala Harris for President.
As Michelle Obama so eloquently stated,
So I hope you’ll forgive me if I’m a little frustrated that some of us are choosing to ignore Donald Trump’s gross incompetence while asking Kamala to dazzle us at every turn. I hope that you’ll forgive me if I’m a little angry that we are indifferent to his erratic behavior, his obvious mental decline, his history as a convicted felon, a known … a known slumlord, a predator found liable for sexual abuse, all of this, while we pick apart Kamala’s answers from interviews that he doesn’t even have the courage to do, y’all.
…. At this point there is simply no other choice.
Sorry Amber G, quoting bits and pieces of your post to make a broad point about “choice” in any US election.
The perception of “not having any other choice” is the very much the outcome of “manufactured consent”. In US elections, people are often provided choices, which leads them to “it is not who you vote for, but who you vote against”. By carefully selecting the two candidates with certain profiles, people are then asked to vote as if they really had any choice and that is “manufacturing consent”. KH’s careful, last moment
selection election, orchestrated by last minute exit of Biden (denying other Dem candidates a fair chance), and then pitting him against a candidate with characteristics as you highlighted in the bolded part of your post, is designed to get intended election outcome. Does this mean we know the outcome of the elections? No, but is the table set in favor of one candidate over the other? You bet.

YIP-ji,
More Hindus in the US are now voting for Trump after his comments about anti-Hindu activities in the US & Bangladesh. The shift had already started.

I quickly scanned the following channels
1. Fox News
2. Bloomberg Business
3. MSNBC
4. Fox Business
5. CNN
1. upbeat, they are just reporting number of people voted, closing times, and what is being forecast. Dem panelists are going after Trump's character, how he is going to deport large number of immigrants, extending tax cuts, Musk bad. Conservative panelists are neutral but upbeat.
2. Lot of RR by anchors and panelists. They are not upbeat at all. Panelists are again going after Trump.
3. Long faces, very beat up. Also going after Trump's character and saying that he and his supporters are going to riot if he doesn't win. Fox calling it is no good. It has to come from Reuters, AP,and such.
4. Upbeat. It is all about how businesses and stock market going to do well under Trump. No personal attacks on Harris
5. Down and out. None of them seem to have any energy nor joy. They are also saying that riots are gong to happen if Trump seems to be winning.
All these channels know how many people are watching their channels. That maybe one of the reasons why the left leaning channels have long faces and purveying the same old same old "convicted felon, sexual harrasser, rapist, not going to accept if he loses, supporters are going to riot, they are laying ground work to say that elections were not fair" stuff.
Myself and SHQ are going to head out to the polling place.

I am surprised at how little EPA or 'drill baby drill' comes up. Would have thought the younger voters would be agitated about climate and environment. Not much in papers or tv leading up to now.

Saying is one thing. We have RG going on Temple run during elections. People are looking at the track record and she is said to have sided with the Ultra left to opposed Obama's Fracking permit. In this election, people get to compare Trump's record and her record to as VP. Currently Trump is leading. The Major Blue states results are not yet out and she will catch up soon.

She was a deeply flawed candidate that Tulsi had destroyed in the past election too. Mistake to select her.

How many seats each won at this moment is just either projections or ones own wishes. Have to wait till more votes are counted to be more sure of closely contested states. But Trump seems to winning the battle ground states.

There will be more analysis coming.
But people seem to have voted down ballot without having voted for any presidential candidate in many states. If these are independent voters, looks ripe for a 3rd party to emerge.

Its all about the 7 battleground states. It may be down to the wire, or not. If Trump (Anusmouth) is elected

, it will likely be very "interesting" times for an already declining country. Bharat will continue to rise.

What ? I did not make any election predictions. I supported Harris for the prez election as most educated (or "edumacated") people did, out of disgust for the opposing candidate. And I also supported GOP candidates for the other elections. Unlike a few indian american partisan jokers here, i understand both "sides" of USA and maintain contacts as worthwhile.
