@PandaJay
- The Tricolour replaced the Union Jack
- Jana Gana Mana and Vande Mataram replaced God Save the King
- Ashoka Stambha in place of the Royal Coat of Arms
- The navy now has the Ashoka Chakra & Shivaji's seal in place of St George's cross
- Rajpath and Raj Bhavan have become Kartavya Path and Lok Bhavan, and the PMO is now Seva Teerth.
- Parliament now has the Chola Sengol
- How much longer for the judiciary to proudly flaunt a more appropriate dress code?
- Symbolism is important to change mindsets and cherish Indianness
- But also, at a more fundamental level, it must be horribly uncomfortable in those heavy robes and wigs!

Bharat 6 Norms has done a lot of damage to the people's pocket with repair bills going up severely. None of this is talked in the press since no one is bothered about reporting the ground reality. Inputs from mechanics suggest that the kind of emission norms and systems have made the current generation of two wheelers fail much more frequently and the bills to the customer are huge. Ethanol blending is okay as long as you have the parts through which it flows are metal in nature. But Bharat 6.0 Norms are said to be very bad and literally destroyed peace of mind of the common man with high service and repair bills.

@KiranKS
Because of Ethanol blending in petrol, India is importing 4,50,00,000 barrels less crude oil from outside! That's ₹1,50,000,00,00,000 saving for the country's budget.

180,00,00,000 liters of diesel saved yearly by Indian Railways due to electrification.

Indian Navy Escorts LPG Tanker Through Strait Of Hormuz Amid Crisis
An Indian naval vessel, INS Shivalik, has escorted a tanker carrying 40,000 metric tonnes of LPG through the strategic Strait of Hormuz as tensions continue to rise in the Middle East. The tanker is now heading toward India, ensuring the safe delivery of critical energy supplies. Another vessel is expected to depart the region soon under similar security arrangements. The development comes amid the ongoing regional conflict involving Iran, Israel and the United States, which has raised concerns about maritime security and global energy supply routes.

Govt concedes LPG supply an issue, nudges city dwellers to opt for piped gas
https://www.livemint.com/news/india/gov ... 17838.html

Bookings of domestic LPG across the country have crossed 75 lakh per day from the pre-war levels of 55 lakh due to panic among consumers, Sharma said. “But, despite this situation, no dry out has been reported in any of the 25,000 (LPG) distributors,” she added.

In the wake of the cooking gas supply worries, Sharma urged domestic and commercial consumers in the vicinity of city gas distribution infrastructure to shift to piped natural gas at the earliest. The government has also directed local and highway authorities as well as state governments to expedite clearances for such expansion.

According to the government, about 60 lakh households can shift to piped natural gas (PNG) in the short term. This comes a day after the government called for increased use of alternative fuels such as kerosene, coal, biomass and RDF (refuse-derived fuel) pellets by hotels and restaurants and allowed higher consumption of these fuels.

The shipping ministry has also directed ports to allow priority berth to LPG tankers across the country's ports.

After LPG shortage, will piped gas supply be next in India?
https://www.firstpost.com/explainers/af ... 88850.html
As the Iran war continues, India is facing a choice: Piped Natural Gas (PNG) or Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

Millions of households are now debating the pros and cons of PNG and LPG. This, as India has legally prioritised PNG for homes over industrial and commercial needs.

Under the newly notified Natural Gas (Supply Regulation) Order, 2026, the central government has allowed natural gas to be redirected from petrochemical plants and refineries in order to ensure that residential pipelines operate at full capacity.

While LPG distribution suffers amid the Hormuz crisis, PNG supplies remained largely uninterrupted in major cities.

She is saying to use the app to book. The reality is that the app is not working. It is not even allowing people to login and state wrong phone number and password. Even password reset don't allow the app to let user login. The sites are even more pathetic. It just throws the HTTP ERROR 504. Regular refresh could give you the page, but again same login issue problems. Whatsapp Refill option don't work either. It stops with asking which language you choose English or Hindi. The other IVRS don't' even get connected. It's more like vaccine booking during covid times kinda situation. These apps are pathetic state. Govt must have updated them and provided a good app like Railone app long back. Yesterday night from 12 to 5am there was some maintenance. But still situation is the same. Even Govt banking apps are more or less like same. May be SBI one works. Rest are like we just exist for the sake of it. No one is looking into these things.

When my account was suspended, I approached all high and mighty in BJP. Anywhere someone said me to talk to or they said they would talk to ‘them’ on my behalf, I did that. One of the most absurd things one guy said was, “You know Ajeet, this comes inside India-US trade deal. We can’t sabotage that.”

This was in 2022 I believe. All it would take them was a call, but never saw a govt so compromised by the US interests that they could not even ask them to unsuspend an account that was unlawfully suspended.

I have had quite a few run-ins including being said by a guy working at a very important ministry, when asked how radical islamists are running free, tweeting and sending thousands to kill Hindus, he remarked, “ Ajeet ji, hum log Congress nahi hain. Freedom of speech ka samman karte hain.”

****** morons!

Suvendu Adhikari likens PM Modi's Brigade rally to 1971 victory fete
Suvendu Adhikari Likens Rally to 1971 Victory Celebration

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally at Brigade Parade Ground on Saturday, West Bengal Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari drew a parallel with the historic "Brigade Rally" held to celebrate India's victory in the 1971 war against Pakistan. Adhikari said the recent rally witnessed an estimated crowd of 8 to 10 lakh people.

Speaking to ANI, Adhikari reflected on clashes between Trinamool Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party workers ahead of the Prime Minister's visit, noting that several BJP workers were injured. "After our army's victory in Bangladesh in 1971, a 'Brigade' rally was held at Brigade Parade Ground. Today, breaking all records, another 'Brigade' rally has taken place here. It was attended by 8 to 10 lakh people. Today, the blood of many BJP workers has been shed, and many incidents have occurred," said Adhikari.

Indian Armed Forces secured a decisive victory over Pakistan, which resulted in the Liberation of Bangladesh in 1971. It was the largest military surrender after the Second World War, and the Indian Armed Forces alongwith Mukti Bahini, liberated Bangladesh in a span of just 13 days.

Other BJP Leaders Hail Massive Turnout

BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty commented on the turnout, saying, "Such a massive turnout was expected. The bugle has been sounded. The game has begun."

Meanwhile, BJP leader Dilip Ghosh highlighted the resonance of Prime Minister Modi's slogans, stating, "His words have taken root in people's hearts: Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Hisaab.. Mamata Banerjee has grown so worried that she's holding sit-ins."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday slammed the Trinamool Congress government, saying "the end of the reign of jungle rule in Bengal will come" and stated that there is a voice in every corner of Bengal that the BJP will form the government in the state.

Addressing a public meeting at Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata, the Prime Minister termed the Trinamool Congress government as ruthless and said, "atrocities of TMC will not be spared". "The countdown has begun for those who brought jungle raj to Bengal. The day is not far when the rule of law will return to Bengal. Whoever breaks the law will not be spared, and the atrocities of TMC will not be spared. No matter how much this ruthless government tries now, it will not be able to stop this storm of change. Maa Durga is with the BJP-NDA," he said.

PM Modi accused the Trinamool Congress government of taking steps to prevent people from coming to the rally, stating that, however, the "ruthless government couldn't stop a sea of people". "Even today, the ruthless government has pulled out all its weapons to stop this gathering. To prevent you all from coming, they had bridges closed, vehicles stopped, traffic jammed, BJP flags uprooted, and posters torn down. But the ruthless government, take a clear look: you could not stop today's sea of people," he said.

Clashes Erupt Ahead of Rally, TMC Alleges Attack

Meanwhile, ahead of PM Modi's rally, a clash involving stone-pelting broke out between the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers on Saturday in the Girish Park area of Kolkata. West Bengal Minister Shashi Panja alleged that BJP workers attacked TMC supporters and pelted stones at her residence.

The clash resulted in several members of both sides sustaining injuries on arms, legs, and heads. Shashi Panja said, " I was attacked with a brick. BJP is not a goon; it is a murderer. You call them BJP workers; they are murderers. They saw the "Boycott BJP" banner, tore it down, assaulted Trinamool Congress supporters, and did stone-pelting." (ANI)
