Modi 3.0 should enforce this. Stop giving Indian names to imported weaponry and stop calling it indigenous or Made in India from the government end, call it what it is. Licensed production or Assembled in India. Better Screwdrivergiri. To hide their poor track record in inducting indigenous equipment, Rajnath Singh and BJP is now doubling down and stamping the Made in India, indigenous weaponry onto foreign equipment. The recent induction of Negev NG7 went on to call it Made in India, indigenous weaponry. It has 50 percent imported content. https://x.com/MeghUpdates/status/2038903275144245352
@MeghUpdates BIG BREAKING

Why Some Loopholes Need To Be Plugged In Proposed DAP The Defence Acquisition Procedure 2026 (DAP 2026), marks a major doctrinal shift by focussing on "Owned by India" rather than "Make in India," placing Indigenously Designed, Developed, and Manufactured (IDDM) capabilities at its core.
India must move beyond merely assembling foreign designs to foster a truly self-reliant defence ecosystem through domestic innovation, Lt Gen VK Saxena (Retd), former Director General (Air Defence), Indian Army, told Bharat Shakti Editor-in-Chief Nitin A. Gokhale.
While acknowledging the document's positive emphasis on strategic autonomy, transparency, and capability building, Gen Saxena warned that equating acquired Intellectual Property (IP) with indigenous design could allow fraudulent players and foreign Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) a backdoor entry.

'Nalanda Revival Signals Rise Of India And Asia In A Multipolar World Order': Says S Jaishankar India’s ancient legacy is shaping its modern global identity, and S. Jaishankar made that clear while speaking at Nalanda University’s convocation. Highlighting the revival of Nalanda University, he said it reflects not just India’s rise but also Asia’s growing influence in a rapidly changing, multipolar world. Jaishankar emphasised that as global power becomes more distributed, cultures and societies are asserting their voice, and Nalanda’s legacy of knowledge and openness can guide that transition. He reminded students that progress is not just about technology but also about human values, dialogue, and understanding. With international students carrying India’s story back home, Nalanda becomes more than an institution—it becomes a symbol of India’s soft power and intellectual leadership on the world stage.
