No she is not. She is talking specifically about India. This was from the 2020 election when Harris met Pak terror supporters in Houston. They were still burning from the removal of Article 370.

[Abusive rant/trolling comments from this poster ( regarding my post on Diwali - a simple newspaper story) is deleted ].
The continuous trolling and harassment of this lady poster, among others - with abusive language thrown in at regular intervals - cannot be condoned. I have reported this post. I have already described this behavior as boorish earlier. What are the moderators doing these days?
Agree that frequent abusive harassment from these kinds of posts is ugly. Seems like it was too much even for our admins. (BTW, I have also reported similar posts using impolite/uncivil language and those posts are still there.)
Meanwhile, the original message:

Pennsylvania Senate Bill 402 officially designating the “15th of the Hindu lunisolar month of Kartik” as “Diwali Day” just passed the PA legislature and is headed to the governor’s desk!
It was simply a news story.. and that prompted a lengthy, vitriolic response from that poster.
BTW: The Governor of Pennsylvania has signed a bill and Diwali is now an official holiday in this state.
Happy Diwali to everyone
(Seriously, such harassment and trolling discourage many well-intentioned individuals from participating in these kind of discussions in these threads)

The issue is that BRF - which is an Indian issues forum - has become "infested" with a small but vociferous set of US-affiliated posters pushing a particular agenda. For some reason they think they need to save India from the US deep state, and they also think that a US election and supporting a specific candidate are going to be critical in saving India.
Such great concern and consternation is ironical and also comical, since most of these posters have already left India and have already jettisoned Indian citizenship. It seems a case of "na ghar ka na ghat ka".
Instead if they had focused on the substance of USA election issues, it would have been more enlightening for many Indian readers to understand the US better. The presidential election is a time when national issues come to the fore and get highlighted. I tried to engage them in some of these things: e.g., "election integrity", "housing issues", "tariffs", etc etc but these posters are not interested in anything but pushing banal themes and MAGA tripe.

KL Ji this is India-US relations thread. The topics you are talking about is more about "Understanding US again" or "US elections watch" threads. I know there is too much talk about US deep state, but that could be because what US does publicly to relate with India is contrary to what she does privately. So the forum people might be more interested in the deep state than the public officials.

Not a "judgement" but a reasoned opinion (you can find fault with the reasoning if you like). I already explained above, here it is again.
On an Indian forum (BRF), "Indian Indians" (living anywhere in the world) should be entitled to proper discussion and information without disturbances from foreign elements - who must be held to a rigorous standard of behavior.
Essentially, the "US-related" threads have been derailed by such elements trying to influence Indians. Especially they do not really understand the USA - just getting a USA passport and living in the USA for a while is not an automatic qualification for reliability. Discussions should have substance, which was not forthcoming. The outcome of the present election - or the preferred candidate - is not the issue here.
If I were running BRF I'd warn/ban these elements immediately (but I'm not running BRF). Best I can do is to use the "block" function and completely ignore these elements - but they are still pasting my posts and replying to them. Pathetic! I wonder why they do not get a life instead, and what is their motivation to doggedly target this forum. As I mentioned before, the moderators should think about why this is the case.

The priceless looks on these woman losing to Trump is forever etched in my mind. Tis the last of cackling kamala and her air-headed responses, good riddance to bad rubbish. The brilliant educated faction of the US who voted dumbocrats are now looking increasingly stupid, new term BS (brilliantly stupid). Dumbocrats need to regroup and get a better candidate who will guide the complex task of being El Presidente of the US. For India this is good news, no more Russia-Ukraine wars, hopefully the sanctions will be removed on Russia. Many things on foreign policy will align for India and be strengthened further. Need to see if India is inducted into Security Council by Trump. Israel will be strengthened and hopefully the IMEC corridor will happen soon.

TOI has a running blurb commentary which is not bad. Posting two items.
It appears NaMo and Trump are restarting on a cordial note. I do think there is a real friendship between the two, and also between NaMo and Bhaidanwa (and his wife as well). NaMo is a uniter. Of course, this could turn into abuses/tantrums down the road if NaMo does something that Trump doesn't like. Anyway, this fresh start may translate into a stronger India-USA cooperation than the "more-talk-less-action" 2016-2020 relations and help hasten the rise of India. At the very least the significant levels of cooperation during 2020-2024 provides good momentum.
I doubt the average American citizens will have such luck (but that is a topic for the Understanding US thread). There will likely be internal chaos in the USA and it will depend more on partners notably India.
2024 US Election Results Live: President Trump calls India a 'True Friend,' says 'The whole world loves PM Modi'
In a post-election call, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated U.S. President Donald Trump on his decisive victory, extending his support and highlighting the strong performance of the Republican Party in the Congressional elections. According to sources, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to work closely on advancing world peace and addressing global challenges.
During the call, President Trump expressed admiration for India and PM Modi, calling India a "magnificent country" and describing PM Modi as a "magnificent man." Trump emphasized his personal rapport with Modi, stating, "The whole world loves PM Modi," and underscored the enduring bond between the two nations. He also noted that Modi was one of the first world leaders he reached out to following his victory.
The leaders’ exchange reflects the positive trajectory of India-U.S. relations, with both countries keen on strengthening their strategic partnership. Under Trump’s previous term, the India-U.S. relationship grew significantly across sectors like defense, trade, and energy. Modi's early congratulations and Trump’s expressions of friendship indicate that this cooperation is set to deepen in the coming years.
Sources confirmed that the two leaders look forward to working together in advancing their shared vision of peace and stability worldwide.
2024 US Election Results Live: PM Modi dials Donald Trump after 'spectacular' win
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated US President Donald Trump on his “spectacular victory” in the presidential race, signaling a renewed commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership between India and the United States.
In a statement posted on social media, Modi shared his excitement about resuming collaboration with Trump, emphasizing key sectors such as technology, defence, energy, and space. "Had a great conversation with my friend, President @realDonaldTrump, congratulating him on his spectacular victory. Looking forward to working closely together once again to further strengthen India-US relations across technology, defence, energy, space, and several other sectors," Modi wrote.

I'm hearing it for the first time too. From the Livemint article quoted in the quote of the tweet, it seems that he was in Trump's inner circle, and Trump depended on him for defending him. I looked up his videos on YT, and he is not exactly new. You can find videos of him defending Trump that are 4 years old. But his name really did not make it to the channels that I frequent. Let's see if he actually gets through to the position.
Kash Pramod Patel served as the chief of staff to the Department of Defense (DOD), where his responsibilities included implementing the secretary of defense’s mission involving three-million-plus employees, a $740-billion budget, and $2 trillion in assets.
Prior to his experience at the Pentagon, Mr. Patel served as deputy assistant to the president and senior director for counterterrorism on the National Security Council (NSC). In that capacity, Mr. Patel oversaw the execution of several of President Trump’s top priorities, including eliminating Al-Qa’ida and ISIS senior leadership, and safely repatriating dozens of American hostages. As one of the highest-ranking officials at the ODNI, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and the White House, Mr. Patel gained unique expertise straddling the nexus of government and private sector operations for the defense of our nation to include defense, cyber, and intel.
Before joining the NSC, Mr. Patel served as the national security advisor and senior counsel for the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI), where he spearheaded the investigation into the Russian active measures campaign to influence the 2016 presidential election.
A native of New York, Mr. Patel graduated from the University of Richmond with a bachelor’s in criminal justice and history, received a juris doctor from law school in New York, and a certificate in international law from the University College London Faculty of Laws in the United Kingdom. Mr. Patel left government service in January 2021 and is now in the private sector. He has established the Kash Foundation and FightWithKash.com to continue his work fighting for Americans and holding corrupt government accountable.

Like our Dr SJ said, for Bharat it's going to be wait and watch for a few months into 2025.
The Trump campaign made a lot of promises to the American people. Besides stopping the Ukraine war where India _may_ be invited to help in the negotiations, all the rest is pretty much internal to the US.
If Trump triggers tariff wars, the biggest impact will be for China and EU. Perhaps then MADS can talk him out of it wrt India or go soft. But then the US would have made the world truly multipolar
I'm not too worried about energy prices coz it's gonna be drill baby drill etc and Trump will need to keep oil prices low to check inflation at home.
If Ukraine gets resolved, it will only ease pressure in the energy market and keep prices manageable though windfall gains we are enjoying may peter out over time. Such gains are never permanent anyway.
Some analysts are saying US govt downsizing will shift those jobs to pvt sector and impact India's outsourcing and NRI jobs. I'm not convinced of that. Govt jobs typically lead to lazy mono skilled and aged workers who can't just replace young adaptable Indian workers with latest skill set just like that, plus the cost differential will exist wrt offshore work for quite a few years.
The rest of the SD stuff is just a mild irritant and SM sparring.
So let's wait and continue to become Atmanirbhar!!
