Hello All,

Just an announcement to notify that we have new moderators on board. Lets welcome them and wish them all the best .

The new additions are (in alphabetical order)

JaiS
Jaspreet
Rahul M
RayC
Rishi
Suraj

(The list may increase - will update it if it does)

please note that all the new moderators have the full fledged 'scissorhands' license to edit / delete / warn and ban - and uphold the traditions of the forum.

.

Keeping in view the continous good tidings (forum upgrade, new mods ) there will also be a set of new guidelines for users on how to report posts, on how the new 'warning' and 'banning' stuff works. and other sundry stuff that we can think of..

Once again lets wish all the new moderators the best of luck (and minimal hair loss

ahead).

Was there a criteria that new admins would have to have their handles starting with 'R'?

And why is suraj not meeting the same criteria? Is that affirmative action for letters other than 'R'?

Just curious.

Actually, the preferential treatment is for the letters "J", "R", and "S"

Well, I can see a lot of thought has been put on the selection. This lot has roots closer to the ground as compared to founder father type of admins. Nice change and congratulations and best of luck to new lot for a tough job ahead.

Would these members also have a vote on policy matters?

I think MAD deterrent would make it less likely to happen. Of course nuclear thread will give some guide about how many tests one has to be conduct for a credible deterrent...

Congrats ..May the moderators keep the reactor going and safe without reducing energy output..and please No MegaTon booms!

I dont think MAD would work in this case. A NFU pact amongst BR Admins is the only way this would work but who is to say if one BR Admin goes paki and does FU to others then we would have a situation where only 1 BR Admin would be left standing.

Someone wanted to know what is the way the new Moderators would approach their job.

I, for one, am free wheeling and I like free thought. Of course people will have dogmas and pet peeves and so long as one is civil and substantiate it with facts, where is the problem?
