Well you can't have a thread like this without the standard picture of dhoti shivering SDREs surrounding TFTA Paqui mard clamouring for an auto-graph hain-ji.

93,000 Paki mard-e-momin were mistreated by Indian jailers. They were raped and were forced to do unmentionable things. The trauma stills haunts the ex-PoWs. Even today they get up in the night with a shiver and a sweat. They go to the floor and kneel holding up their hands. Their old wives think the ex-Faujis are doing namaz, but it is a old habit they got from Indian jails where they were forced to lift two heavy stones with their hands, and do unmentionable stuff.

It was horrible conditions that the Mard-e-Momeen-e-Pa'akistan were forced to live through. The memory they look back at with fondness is that they could run around in pink frocks and red lipstick.

Now in India there is a new generation of jailers, and they have new creative ideas. They all look forward to more PoWs from Pa'akistan! AoA!

In the spirit of the victory thread, Usually the losers make the cowardly run, here are the victors bravely fleeing:

New Delhi: Not happy to be "bracketed with Pakistan" in terms of security risk, Bangladesh on Monday said it was creating problems for its businessmen to set up shop here while Indian brand names were freely operating in Dhaka.

And forever burdened the Indian economy by sending in millions of ingrate and free-loading bengalis to enjoy the Indian hospitality for years to come. Take that, you SDREs. Remember buying those "sharnathi" postage stamps anyone?

This was indeed dharam yudh, a war conceived and executed righteously. Wars are odious but this one was an exception.

Pakistanis of course realise this, where they lost legitimacy as a Muslim quom, negating the self-delusion of a mythic all conquering umma.

The psychological impact has been not so benign on India-it has made India indulgent and complacent.

In 1965, ZAB advised Ayub Khan to dismember India by attacking NEFA from East Pakistan and hoping China would come to assist the task. He told Ayub that once NEFA was yanked off, and with the Chinese once again breathing down India's neck, Pakistan could think of how to dispose off Assam. What a temerity ! And yet, six years later, there was no East Pakistan.

Ironically most of India had no TV in 1971 and most Indians never saw anything but the still pics.
