Small clarification - the total no of 500542 tests includes the 2nd test of a positive patient (that's why the no of patients is lower than the total no of tests). Looks like plasma therapy had positive results in Delhi. The patient was off ventilator on 18th and making good recovery. This might trigger a rush for off label use.

In karnataka, one driver died of heart attack yesterday just by knowing that his passengers were corona positive. His tests later came positive but was perfectly doing fine till he got the news. I think stress of knowing corona positive itself is a very large contributing factor to these deaths.

Are they discounting undetected asymptomatic cases? If 50% of the cases are asymptomatic which are not being tested then you have 168K +ve cases. So hospitalization rate may be only 15%. So France testing to positive rate is 20 %. As on 27th, india has tested approx 28000 samples and have approx 700 positives. So that is 2.5%. I am wondering why? We are actually testing high risk group like direct contacts. This again might be due to our general resilience towards flu like viruses.

Our rate of discharge from hospital is also very high. All cases are having an outcome withing 15 days. I think we are doing something right which we do not know. I still think this has something to do with our general resilience towards flu which none of these experts can explain

One thing that is happening is also the usage of ventilators. The average day spent in ventilator is as high as 30 days. In india it is less, the hospital simply says to pull the plug after 4 days if no improvement. This is not the case with developed world.
