As in most other cases, unfortunately money talks. Huge on the spot public fines are one of the best ways to deter any behavior. It would help if we could deny further medical assistance to anyone that 'escapes' a quarantine but that will surely not fly.

Its important to remember that movies like this including the original TopGun are made for propaganda and sometimes to act as a recruiting tool for the armed forces. Accuracy and authenticity does not matter to 90% of the people watching the movie who wouldn't be able to differentiate between a F-16...

why this tail #? What is the logic/intel behind this. We know that one of the pilot who got some award (the one who ejected, not his partner), in official letter, he was first flying a 2 seater, then it changed to 1 seater (and some tail/serial number given - 06?). I hope in time there is at least a documentary from us similar to the History channel ones on the surgical strikes. It does not need any operational details at all but capturing the event is necessary.

There has been a lot of talk about air to air combat and missiles being fired/missing etc. Here is an old video of Israeli F-15s against Syrian MiG 21s. Note how the first missile misses even though it gets close and he had a lock.

Good day out at Chandigarh, as the first four @IAF_MCC Chinooks are formally inducted into service with 126 Helicopter Flight 'Featherweights'. The remaining 11 rotorcraft will be delivered within the next year or so.
