^^ This probably varies from city to city, but I have not heard of mass vaccination sites in India. Some private companies had offered to set up similar 'camps' but don't know if that will be implemented. From my parents experience, they are not able to get the Cowin site to work reliably. They cont...

First world problems...but also an indication of why more vaccines are needed. Based on anecdotal reports from family and friends, this is also happening in India. There is a fair set of doctors/healthcare workers that are wary of or downright refuse to take the vaccine. When they speak to their fa...

Just watched the DD telecast of the aerobatics and it is frustrating as usual. Constantly cutting away to the crowd as the narrator describes a maneuver, no focus or showing random bits of sky. Why they can never get this right I don't know.

Some aircraft like the F-16, F-18 or MiG 29 blow out the canopy prior to ejection. But the Tejas, Harrier etc. have through canopy ejection. Remember seeing the Tejas ejector seat and canopy detonator setup many moons back.
I'm not 100% sure about that because every F-16 and JF-17 squadron seemed to be muli-role with only this tail chopper being mentioned as air superiority. But I haven't found anything which confirms how are the planes configured differently from others. A plane from this unit crashed not too long ba...
The 14 squadron Tail Choppers is for air superiority. There is a 2017 Dawn article (not posting link) that confirms it. The inauguration ceremony was held at Kamra.
^^ He narrated the same incident in the video below. If that grenade had worked, potentially all the terrorists in the Taj would have been killed or injured and the whole scenario would have been different!

I know people are annoyed by some of the celebrations and some of them are over the top. But these are expensive national assets purchased with our hard earned money and people should be rightly proud of them since its our people that will fly them into war. We need to build the excitement so every ...
Wonderful to see the enthusiasm from the people on the street. We need a generation of people that run to the nearest window or clearing when they hear a jet overhead. Reminds me of the time the first Su-30K came to Pune. After years of seeing the Fulcrum in the skies, the sight of her elder sister ...

One of the first scale models I had built was the Flogger. It struck me then how slim the wings were! The video above reminded me of that. While they need to retire and go into the history books, part of me is sad to see them go. The MiG 21 through 29 were the heroes of my childhood!
SYDNEY (Reuters) - The U.S. Department of Transportation said it has revoked permission for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to conduct charter flights to the United States, citing Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) concerns over Pakistani pilot certifications.
Look at what they have been doing in the South China Sea. Building artificial islands and bases over the years and claiming more territory by building proper infrastructure. Tearing down a tent is easier than breaking up a concrete structure. And then they paint others as aggressors if they try to a...
