Re: J&K News and Discussion - 2016

I agree with Anujan for the mere fact that there is no clear example outside that shows the arm twisting that could have been done to make them fall in line. We tried to beg them but so far not bullied them... Probably bullying didnt help?? Kashmir people would be unhappy with their politicians too ...

Re: J&K News and Discussion - 2016

What I am bit surprised is no information warfare against pro Pak people in Kashmir - in terms of their corrupt practices or in that case even against Mufti or Abdullahs about how they looted Kashmir people money... we could use NIA, CBI, etc

Re: 2019 General Elections News and Discussion

Welcome back. DMK sweep? My good case for DMK was 30-35. Gee thanks :-) Even NDTV's Sreenivasan Jain is saying there is no sweep by DMK. AIADMK+, that includes BJP, could cross 10+. That is nearly 25% of the 39 seats. Last one year there was a concentrated effort by DMK and their supporters to pain...

Re: 2019 General Elections News and Discussion

Hillary visited Jayalalitha at that time as the calculation at that time was, in case if BJP fails to get majority then someone close to them can become PM and Jaya is considered for that. Remember Cho speech in front of Modi and Advani 8n Chennai. So as usual US wanted to establish that connection....

Re: Indian Forces Strikes Pakistan Terrorist Camps

Except for the fact that we have them on the run, I don't see any other reason to keep the pot boiling... we came with an objective that the terror strikes by terrorists will be costly. We proved by destroying their facility and killing about 300 of them. We also proved that we are not going to be w...

Re: Currency Demonetisation and Future course of Indian Economy

Venkat_r, question is, what is that you wanted out of demonitization? Did you expect all the people will declare their black money and all the corrupt will go to jail? I think you wanted only politicians to go to jail but if you think you want justice then every one one of us - including low and mi...

Re: Latest Chinese boast: should we shiver or die laughing?

ok, so we have to scrap the assumption that Chinese PLA is conscript-based, though there are obviously other issues with the quality of their soldiers. We can scrap the assumption that Cheen is even a half-decent military power in any shape or form. They build lots (and lots and lots) of shiny new ...

Re: Latest Chinese boast: should we shiver or die laughing?

Once again - let me post something that we need to remember. Chinese posters (and Pakis for that matter) are masters of using what I once defined as the "Torn shirt vs open fly" style of argument In this type of argument - the Indian says something about China and the Chinese instantly ma...

Eric Leiderman wrote:How about naming writing an open letter to PM asking him to name Santipath (the road in N.Delhi where Chinese embassy is located) as Dalai Lama Road. Would be hilarous if they had to change their letterhead to reflect same.

Re: Latest Chinese boast: should we shiver or die laughing?

Well it is not about starting the history - you can even do that and if you continue that, Chinese will still come up short in their justification... But what Liu is trying to do was pick and choose specific times in the history (all over the placce) that can be used for their justification... What...

China would be stupid to open another front in south with India when they have to deal with SoKo, US and Japan in their door step... On the other hand, India can actually attack Pakistan and take over the Gilgit province :D

I think Suresh Prabhu will be a good option.. he has shown good changes in railways... VKSingh - even though an army hand - guess will be too controversial... but definitely a bad news for India as the expectation was military changes would be pushed thro immediately after the election. ..

In any democracy, it is normal for opponents or naysayers or doubters to ask for proof. I think we just have to deal with it or ignore it. Naming and shaming few journalists is not going to make it go away as they will keep on raising them. Let these guys raise all the questions/doubts and once we r...

Re: Army strikes terror camps in PoK

Yes our response has changed for the good. We would have to assume/expect that Pakistan is planning on attacking at some point either using their regulars at the border or their proxies inland. The real test of Modi/our government will be after they attack. Will we continue to attack even if it mean...
