Man, What is going on. I was already confused by was it Prithvi 1,2,3,4, or 5 or was it 2 stage or 1, was it baan or Sangarika or Tirshul or Akash. Now even this thread is changing shapes. It was 9 pages long last I was reading it, now it is 7. It had many posts and now it has fewer. There is one an...

There was an India Today article on 100 (or 50) achievers in India in various fields (was few years ago, few as in maybe 4-9 years ago). It had articles on Misala scientists from DRDO a...

So in my limited understanding, it is futile to argue what the interception missile was, could be Prithvi or anything else. But nevertheless, interception in the first attempt is a very big deal. Kudos DRDO.

I am surprised at the hostility that Digvijay is facing. I don't endorse his views, I don't approve it (but I don't know if he is wrong or not, you see I am not all knowing). The only change I would make is instead of 4 desert 'strike' formation, have 3 or 2 but have 1 mountain 'strike' or highly mobile formation. Remember, the only land that we will keep after

If you put these MIRV side by side (still the long side vertical) so that ver...

Mind you, In head on the doopler shift is very high (since both plane are going in opposite direction, relative velocity is very high) but in follow on pursuit, the doppler shift is very less (and can be zero if both plane had the same velocity), therfore this range of tracking is always less.
