The Cricket World Cup Thread
Re: The Cricket Thread
since when have the pakis done so against people who can dish out serious pain? never.
Re: The Cricket Thread
On Gawd.. mazaa would be crossing the yellow sea then, and the dangerous fallout would befall on their brethren elsewhere as well. That will not happen, if they want to continue chewing the goats cud.KJoishy wrote:I want the Pakis to try maa ben gaalis on SRT or Bhajji.![]()
Tab aayega mazaa...
Re: The Cricket Thread
Well ball-chewer did try it on GG and got full ma-behen in return. So i doubt he'd want to try it with someone more feisty like bhajji or someone who replies solely and much more strongly like srt

Re: The Cricket Thread
bendi fry!
Re: The Cricket Thread
So folks, BD vs. WI, any predictions?
Re: The Cricket Thread
BD will get hammered. the defiant days of WC2007 are long gone. time to smell the coffee.
do keep an eye on banglacricket.com for any funny keepers.

Re: The Cricket Thread
^^ One thing I noticed on their website is the big banner they've made. Right where it says "We believe" under the ICC WC 2011 they listed Bangladesh as the sole host nation. Got to give it to their citizen, they do dream a lot. They are leading a sort of a "never stop believing" campaign as I guess many of their folks are probably getting tired of getting beat up.

I think it is Ahmed Shehzad who got a real mouthful from Balaji and deservedly so. Has anyone noticed that the inbreeding Paki is trying to ape Virat Kholi's style and mannerisms? perhaps too much of watching IPLManjaM wrote:http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xhcvmd ... from=embed
Umar gul and Balaji spat at over 39.3

Cricinfo is already at it.Singha wrote: any funny keepers.
14.15: "Today is the day of Bangladesh. They need to do it again what they did in the West indies tour. Good luck boys," cheers Fahim, who will do well to remember that this West Indies team is not depleted by players on strike.

No wonder BDCricketfans hate it. Mirror mirror..
Re: The Cricket Thread
It looks like Ahmad started the talk from cover point and Balaji really mouthed off against him. The umpire put a stop to it and says to the other umpire 'Too much chatter!'.Mahendra wrote:I think it is Ahmed Shehzad who got a real mouthful from Balaji and deservedly so. Re: The Cricket Thread
I was going to post that let us see if Roach babu lives up tohis word. I see he has removed Tamim in the first over. Should be a good contest still.
EDIT: 16/2. Ooh why for BDs playing "yo" music? Something like "give it to me baby". Why not play some good Bangla melodies hainji?

Re: The Cricket Thread
The Winner of this match qualifies for QF, so it is kind of a knockout
Re: The Cricket Thread
Junaid looks like a fine batsman with potential.
Kemar has some gooood yorkers!! Desperate BDs asking for a review on a plumb LBW. I was hoping Junaid would play more shots.

Re: The Cricket Thread
Bye Bye QF for BD, unless they can engineer a WI batting collapse.
Re: The Cricket Thread
Ouch, that must be hurting the BDs. 41/5
Re: The Cricket Thread
8 down. roach added some sehwag like khujlee http://www.banglacricket.com/alochona/s ... hp?t=36108
Re: The Cricket Thread
I'm failing my statistics exam tomorrow for this? Its really hard to 'believe' after this kind of batting, but its not like I have another option.

oh I love this excuse..this match is fixed....
8 down
Q:Bd hosting was a mistake. Too much pressure. We weren't ready.
A:how long will we persist with losers like this?
untill we stop playing cricket or any sports that matters
this won't even be a day night match... we are just a little over an hour into the match
Re: The Cricket Thread
58 all out
I'm heading to bangla forum now

Re: The Cricket Thread
BD 58/10- Kenya will play better than is, BTW is the WI bowling attack much better than the Indian Team?
Re: The Cricket Thread
bah! BD folds up at 58!! after all the over the top celebrations in the Ireland match!
Re: The Cricket Thread
Misery has ended. 58 all out. Lowest score by a full member nation. You cannot play spin that badly in the subcontinent. You got some work to do there boys.
BD fans are throwing crap on the field.
At least show some good shots, oh dear Calypso King!
Good timing to play the song "De ghumaa ke" just when Gayle is about to come out...

Re: The Cricket Thread
Meanwhile NZ wins by 10 wickets
Re: The Cricket Thread
22 needed off 43, overs not balls. if it was up to me I'll take 1 run every 2 overs and bat till 50 overs.

Re: The Cricket Thread
For people in India. Now you can get official streams of cricket matches from ESPN Star

Re: The Cricket Thread
from BD forum

Pakistan won the World Cup in '92 when they were all out for 74! Things are looking up ... Its a blessing in disguise guys! ... We will now play like cornered Tigers!!!

Re: The Cricket Thread
What happens to the Net run rate in such a low scoring match but abject defeat?
Re: The Cricket Thread
NRR = RPO(scored) - RPO(conceded)
all out is considered 50 ov played.
ah, they changed the banner ! check the right hand corner.

Which of you put in this gem:
BD players should stop thinking about Qualifying .
This is will only add more pressure on them .

Re: The Cricket Thread
This is good for India, Assuming then that England beat Bangladesh, if we lose to SA, we can deliberately lose WI, Get the B3 spot and play our QF at Motera, SF at Mohali and Finals at Wankhade.
I hope whoever meets the Pakis and White Pakis knock both these teams at the QF stage.
Having said that India will lose onlee

Re: The Cricket Thread
Hmm BD is behind Ireland on NRR. If Ireland manages to win one, and lose others by close margins, they may even squeak ahead of BD. Difference between England and Ireland is not that much.
Having said that, I do believe England will make it to QFs. The BD - England match should be a tight one: both are coming off unexpected/shameful losses.

Re: The Cricket Thread
BD should be able to post/chase 300+ against English bowling. So it will be interesting.

West Indies team bus stoned in DhakaMarten wrote:This is absolutely the pits! They're gonna be disqualified if this continues.
BD fans stone WI bus.
Learning from their paki brethren?

hey... hear this
A Bangladesh police official said the fans had mistaken the West Indies bus for the Bangladesh bus. "The fans thought it was the Bangladeshi team bus and they hurled stones at it," Imtiaz Ahmed, deputy commissioner of police in Dhaka, told AFP. "The window panes were shattered, but no one was injured."
Re: The Cricket Thread
I got out for a few hrs and missed all the fun. damn.
Re: The Cricket Thread
bookies won't have any interest in BD. That BD will be whooped by most is a foregone conclusion and everyone will bet on it. It is their opponents that the bookies would be looking at. Can they make them lose to BD?
Re: The Cricket Thread
Yeah.. ICC should learn that they should have given it to India alone. Throwing stones at visitors just shows their nature.

BBC reporting that Lalit Modi's passport got cancelled and Lalit Modi explaining about the most corrupt government India has ever seen.
Interesting times indeed.

Re: The Cricket Thread
Marten bhau, I know it used to voting earlier, but now isnt it turns based? In other words, this whole hosting thing is split into blocs, and each bloc takes turns in hosting. We are in the SEAsia bloc...Marten wrote:You think the BCCI would've got to host it if they went it alone? Check the voting patterns, boss! No chance at all... in fact if the Pacquis hadn't been themselves, they would've been co-hosts too, right? Realpolitik rules.SaiK wrote:Yeah.. Re: The Cricket Thread
Back in the days in-fighting and mistrust was rampant among our Kingdoms; this helped England and other Colonial powers. Now, rampant in-fighting, corruption and mistrust in BCCI is causing ICC a comeback. Is this reading correct?
