Basharat Peer sahib will have no credibility till he also writes an article titled "Being Hindu in Kashmir." These people begin killing non-Muslims as soon as they get majority in any area, but it is amazing the way they squeal and cry murder when Muslims are roughed up by non-Muslims ...Jhujar wrote:Being Muslim Under Narendra Modi

RM ji you have to go slow on the CTs. Most likely the B&W Kamal is one arrow for two targets.
One - probably they want to bring the contrasts out even more and train people to think in terms of contrasts. B&W, whether Kamal or WT_ invokes contrast first and foremost. Also the last most. Only the most disconnected, will begin to remember the EVM button seeing a B&W Kamal. That the EVM button is B&W may be an excuse (witness how a spineless RSN sounds exceedingly sure in the letter). You should be thankful for this because our people all across have been taken for a ride so friggin often because they allow themselves to believe to much of this 'Sub ek jaise hain' nonsense. In any case saffron is a colour of some importance. We are fast moving out of the phase where saffron was necessary to shake the moral existence of the country. Colour Saffron, Flower Kamal, Invocation of Dharma to crush a wrongful opponent, Tridevalaya carry a certain finality where even the mindfulness of contrasts and proportions is no longer going to serve the purpose. You begin to use your Brahmastra often enough and you may not even remain worthy of it. Most likely the RSS & NaMo team served up the B&W Kamal because they are working under the belief that saffron is being misused by some indolent set of people within the larger Sangh to hide behind instead of making use of it in the battle.
Secondly and more importantly the sidelining of Togadia dominant VHP, relaunch of the Saffron under BR, sidelining of oldtimers of BJP, re-assertion by Mohan Bhagwat ji, widening of the Hindu identity in the middle to upper middle class, is a trajectory that has been adopted post the last maxima of 161 that a strict Saffron only wave had generated in the most fertile of times. Hinduism has never grown in numbers by reason of evangelism. Hinduism has always grown in numbers by a widening of the net (after exercising due diligence where certain things are proscribed and certain other are prescribed). However this widening of the net has to come without the usage of the 'Sub ek jaise hain' nonsense. It has to come from a sinking of all efforts into a common pool + seeking all rewards from that common pool. This will require more than just Dharm ke thekedaar and will absolutely must require a re-assertion of the Dharmic identity in the masses something that was achieved by the IT Cell and BR types not by Togadias and LKA. These new people, who coincidentally work very well with each other, have earned their right to define themselves the way they want without somebody else rationing their saffron to them.
Basically you have been late to the dangal, having spent your time in activism of the legalistic kind, now please do not complain if you got lesser chance to fight the real fight. There will be other good fights and you can instigate/take forward, those new fights. The anti congress anti exploitation fight has best been managed by NaMo uptill now and he deserves all the leeway that he thinks he needs to take it forward.
Let this iteration of saffron also grow and you could end up seeing much more than you had bargained for. You begin to mess with it and 10-20 years down the line politicians hiding under saffron would not be able to hit even 161, ever.

IIRC, MJAs grand-dad was a Kashmiri Hindu based in Bengal who converted to marry the Muslim daughter of his employer/benefactor or something like that. His son Prayag is named after his grand-dad.
Re: Narendra Modi vs the Dynasty: Contrasting Ideas of India
per Wiki
As per semi-fictional book written by M. J. Akbar, Blood Brothers – A Family Saga, he suggested that his grandfather was a Hindu named Prayag, who converted into Islam in Telinipara Situated in Hooghly Districts of West Bengal, a small jute-mill town north of Calcutta, acquired the name Rehmatullah and married a girl.[1] Akbar attended Calcutta Boys' School and later Presidency College, Calcutta where he attained a BA(Hons) in English between 1967 – 1970.[2]
Akbar is married to Mallika Joseph, his contemporary at The Times of India. They have two children, Prayaag and Mukulika.

Electoral rolls in Karnataka were highly flawed on terms of duplication I sawy own name duplicated. So is % vote flawed as well?
This is a really crucial point. A lot of people have complained about duplicate names in the list. Since the voting %age is so high, who were casting the duplicate votes.
I really fear the DTD is at play here...

April 17 may not have been a very good day for the BJP, if the reports (and possibly some rumors) of rampant voter list fraud and EVM problems are to be believed.

No quarter and no mercy is preciusely what they deserve. Look at this instance. In,Karnataka at least, voter roll printed inside polling rooms had photos. Only few had missing photos.

i agree a lot of these farzi sikular shud be in jail fr things like the above.

I'm not sure at all, sir. If its recent from BD then all the more reason for a Modi sarkar to declare an open welcome (and aadhaar cards as well) to all persecuted Hindu families in BD (and Pak).Rahul M wrote:seldon sahab, are you sure it's a 1980 pic ? AFAIK it's a recent pic from Jessore, BD.

Yes yes, I know, Casteism is in DNA of Biharis. Just wait to see the result on 16th. It will prove itself to be Casteist dharmic.

We need to know about AP only. If it gives Congis more seats ,like it did in previous elections, they would be near about 80-90.

Sonia Gandhi has made India a third-rate country. India is weak militarily and economically. India has poor infrastructure, unhygienic sanitary conditions and it suffers from extreme poverty. There is a severe shortage of water and power in the counry. India produces goods with poor manufacturing quality. India buys military hardware and weapons because it cannot manufacture in the country. The so-called IT sector of India is at the mercy of the USA. India has not made any thing original; it is just depending on outsourcing, which is feeding the youth to be more modern than the so-called modern people in the US. This is likely to be curtailed by the USA at any time. And India will suffer tremendously. India has no real R&D activity, no creativity and no innovation.

Re: Narendra Modi vs the Dynasty: Contrasting Ideas of India
Anecdotal input for the forum member about some sort of undercurrent in south. While at a technical unit at Bangalore, which has lots of contracted technical staff almost 80% tamil, was approached by three different guys during a coffee break, to check with what i think of modi! they knew i am from Mumbai and from land of modi. All would be in late 20's all said they going to go back home to vote for modi in tamilnadu on 24th. They have been working in Bangalore from 4 to 6 years. All three said they have already made up their mind about voting for modi and were sold on his development plank specifically about reliable power 24/7. I asked if their view was also shared by many in their circle and was told almost 70% of under 30 in their group ( about 15 in group of 21) are going to vote for NDA candidate in their constituency and they wanted me to answer few things to try and modify the remaining guys. None of them has ever voted for any party other then regional ones before. I would say modi wave sure has reached deep south.
Re: Narendra Modi vs the Dynasty: Contrasting Ideas of India
How would Modi achieve 365 days 24x7 power supply throughout India, has he mentioned specifics of this apart from mention of auction proceeds to be used for infrastructure. Would a 10 year timeline be sufficient for such a mammoth exercise?
Re: Narendra Modi vs the Dynasty: Contrasting Ideas of India
One low hanging fruit would be get 20,000 MW worth of power plants regular supply of coal so that they can start supplying power. He has referred to this in multiple meetings.
Distribution and collecting bills is more challenging than producing power as it is B2C.

Re: Narendra Modi vs the Dynasty: Contrasting Ideas of India
20,000 MW capacity idle for the lack of coal. So start importing coal to get the plants up and running and power promise flowing.
Followup with
1. Lean on Coal India to increase production.
2. Start resolving issues blocking new mines. Single window clearance with strict production deadlines to private companies.
Will initially cost money spent on imported coal that can progressively be replaced by Indian coal as and when new production comes online.
That way you hit many targets
1. Lot of NPA in banks tied to power sector and power projects.
2. Immediate improvement in power situation will lead to voter confidence.
3. More power available for industry.
4. Start the next cycle of investment in the power sector by getting the last cycle working and profitable.

Will a Gujarat model separate power line for farming needs be feasible pan India? Wouldnt that be a call the local power boards take?
I am an ardent Modi supporter but somehow 24x7 power supply through the length and breadth of India seems like snake oil to me without local govt support. I dont see Mayawati or cycle party working closely with Modi's people at all.
