India-US Relations : News and Discussion- II
Re: India-US Relations : News and Discussion- II
jews have been in greece since 4 th century BC apparently.
Greece had a large population of Sephardi Jews, and is a historical center of Sephardic life; the city of Salonica or Thessaloniki, in Greek Macedonia, was called the "Mother of Israel"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_o ... _in_Greece

I thought sepherdim were the maghrebi jews/andalusia but perhaps wrong. the "mizrahi" were the bagdadi/damascus/persian/AfPak/caspian/beirut jews....andre agassi, david sassoon and Gen jfr jacob comes from that lineage. sassoon was a famous business family in mumbai. i even met a brazilian sassoon once...so they get around.

Re: India-US Relations : News and Discussion- II
Reason the cops showed up so fast was because, by sheer coincidence, a large number of them just happened to be attending a training session nearby.Singha wrote:yeah its kind of miraculous how many armed police they can deploy within minutes. the whole country is like a armed kabila of sorts. some cops seem to keep shotguns, rifles in boxes in the trunk of their cars, with perhaps a few 100 rounds of ammo and BPJs "just in case" ,,,, maybe another couple of pistols in the glove compartment "just in case"![]()
and if the call goes out, 100s of citizen volunteers armed with their personal weapons would join any sheriffs posse.
Also, LA cops started carrying heavier weaponry in the trunks after the notorious North Hollywood Bank Robbery Attempt and shootout that happened around 20 years ago. In that incident, two heavily armed bank robbers wearing body armor made a mockery of the police handguns (mostly 9 mm. pistols and .38 revolvers). Cops had to run to a gun store and plead with the owner to lend them some bigger guns temporarily (IIRC, someone later tried to prosecute the store owner after that incident, since he didn't make the police fill the required legal paperwork when he lent them the ARs). Soon after that incident, LAPD sergeants started to carry AR-15 type rifles and .45 ACP pistols + body armor and heavy armor plating on their patrol car doors. Quite a few other police departments followed suit.

this happens only in NATO munnas .. wherever there is terror strike .. mock drill is always happening nearby.ArmenT wrote: Reason the cops showed up so fast was because, by sheer coincidence, a large number of them just happened to be attending a training session nearby.
highly curious.

New video of shootout. Judging by the audio, they were able to stay alive for some time. Not sure if the rifles were full auto mod. May have received tactical training or practiced on their own. Looks like this may have been a lone wolf attack comprised of 3-5 overall with 3 going on the attack. No way that this could've been the outcome of some scuffle. This was premeditated.

civilian weapons sold there have full-auto mode deleted. but I have heard experienced modders/gang armourers can get it back as inside the case the rifle is same. if you are a skilled operator and looking to put people down, semi auto or even single shot is how they work. some amt of black market guns would be there via mehico border..place is awash with gangs and guns across the fence.

Nicholas Thalasinos, 52, one of 14 fatalities, had heated debate with co-worker Syed Rizwan Farook two weeks before San Bernardino rampage
Nicholas Thalasinos, 52, passionately defended Israel, and actively debated religion in online forums and in person, his friends said. Only two weeks ago, Thalasinos was having a heated on-the-job discussion about the nature of Islam with Syed Rizwan Farook, his fellow restaurant inspector and the man police identified as the shooter.
Thalasinos’ friend, Kuuleme Stephens, told The Associated Press that she happened to call him while he was working with Farook, and that he brought her into their debate, loudly declaring that Farook “doesn’t agree that Islam is not a peaceful religion.” She heard Farook counter that Americans don’t understand Islam, and Thalasinos responded by saying “I don’t know how to talk with him,” she said.

A terrible tragedy. Our condolences to the US for this terror outrage.
However, the US must wake up to the stark truth about Pakis and the Terrorist Paki state. There may be hundreds or even thousands of Paki/ISIS sleeper cells/dedicated sympathisers in the US,UK and West, who will pick a time and location of their choosing before going on the rampage. There is only one way to stop this disease ,IT (Islamist terror),which is turning into a global pandemic. Stop these epeople from entering into your country. If they're already there put them under intensive surveillance and if there is the slightest suspicion, deport them. Close down all mosques where Islamic jihadism is preached. Deport all Imams/mullahs and individuals propagating or celebrating ISIS,etc. Impose sanctions on those states from where this terror emanates .Warn them to clean up their act or be ostracized and to also beware of mil action if need be.

I guess US has to practice more tolerance towards Muslims as Obama advised India in January in Delhi.
Re: India-US Relations : News and Discussion- II
As people say, a Messianic Jew is like a meat-eating vegetarian. Consider it to be a form of Christian taqiya, to try to convert Jews.
Re: India-US Relations : News and Discussion- II
^^Correct. That's why I said "maybe" a convert. The Jewish people in general don't look kindly upon "Messianic Jews"... You can see it in the comments posted on the above linked Times of Israel article.

The day before the shootings, Thalasinos had posted about a threat he had received that included the words "you will die and never see Israel." Authorities have not released any motive for the shooting, or suggested an intended target. Thalasnos was a Messianic Jew and posted frequently about Israel and politics. His posts included several that compared Muslims to Nazis.
....
Thalasinos's Facebook page was filled with mourning postings from his community of online friends, many of whom remembered him for active postings about Israel and other political topics and for their connections as Messianic Jews. He was active in a pro-life group, and referred to as a "prolife warrior" and "great Patriot." His Facebook bio says he studied conservatism at the "Limbaugh Institute for Advanced Conservative Studies." There are numerous posts about Obama and the threat to Israel, and about Muslim terrorist attacks against Christians.
His last post, as captured by a Facebook friend, described a message he had gotten from a Facebook member called "Med Ali Zarouk" who told him "you will never sucsseed (sic) to make a country for jews ... soon you'll get your a-- kicked, you will die and never see Israel as country believe me never."
Thalasinos wrote on Facebook that he had blocked Zarouk, whom he called an "anti-semitic brain surgeon" and others he described as "pagan antisemitic troglodytes."
....
ennifer Thalasinos told the New York Times that her husband was friendly with Farook and given her no indication that anything was amiss with Farook.
“My husband was very outspoken about ISIS and all of these radicalized Muslims,” she told the Times. “If he would’ve thought that somebody in his office was like that, he would’ve said something.”
Re: India-US Relations : News and Discussion- II
It was a sleeper cell that prematurely detonated, maybe the thalassinos did some 'gustakh-e-rasool' activity to get at their goat.

Exactly what I am thinking.
2nd thing I am considering is if these guys were not setting up a cottage industry to supply terror related material.
3rd thing: Is ISIS/ AQ like terror groups sending people over to the west to enter under the radar and carry out such acts?

^^Iranian Jewish descent.
Re: India-US Relations : News and Discussion- II
There's more confirmation available regarding his Armenian heritage than any Jewish connect...last name was agassian apparently and his father is quoted on Agassi's wiki speaking about extended Armenian heritage.
Re: India-US Relations : News and Discussion- II
Agassi is actually a Mizrahi Jewish surname. Could be I'm wrong though.
Re: India-US Relations : News and Discussion- II
That surname is actually Aghassian, which was later shortened to Agassi. His father is an Armenian Christian, not Jewish. Lots of Armenian friends of mine are kinda pissed off that Andre doesn't acknowledge his Armenian side as much.
Re: India-US Relations : News and Discussion- II
Someday, there has to be honest discussion about what the outlook/impression/image of Indians should be in EJ standoff v/s moderates Christians v/s moderate Muslims v/s fundamentalists/jihadi standoff. May be in OT thread or US positive. USA has the distinct American culture of its own so that people, moderates atleast, could see what goes on even if with holy book.ramana wrote:This was only a trigger. The guy and his wife were hoarding arms and making bombs would have gone jihadi anytime.
By EJ standoff I mean conversion activity that seems to be staple activity, almost like sectarianism which is kept below radar mostly in cities, a subculture within parts of the country.

Re: India-US Relations : News and Discussion- II
You're overthinking this. Mark my words; this is home grown terror. Anywhere you have a muslim population and easy access to guns, you're going to have incidents like this. It's just a natural phenomenon inherent to the religion. Nothing you can do about it; get rid of the guns or get rid of the muslims.Gagan wrote:^^^

I never believed it, but I think I have come to believe that:
You can take a Bakistani out of Bakistan, but you can never take Pakhanastan out of a Baki.
Jo Layah,Punjaab PakJab mein g***du who San Bernadino, CA mein bhi g**du.
This will now be spinned of as "intolerant subculture" of soothassia and how this isolated incident does not represent Islam, but sooth-assian nature.
EDITED: as per suggestion below.

PS: I think the Ahmed Ali Aulak is this guy:The investigation into the California carnage has spread to Pakistan, where intelligence officials questioned members of Malik's family, including her uncle, Javed Rabbani, the brother of her father, Gulzar. Rabbani said his brother Gulzar changed after moving to Saudi Arabia.
"When relatives visited him, they would come back and tell us how conservative and hard-line he had become," Rabbani said in an interview with Reuters.
The father had built a house in Multan, where he stays when he visits Pakistan, according to another uncle, Malik Anwaar.
Christian Nwadike, who worked with Farook in California for five years, told CBS News that his co-worker had been different since he returned from Saudi Arabia with Malik.
"I think he married a terrorist," Nwadike said.
Two Pakistani officials said Malik was from the Layyah district in southern Punjab province, but moved to Saudi Arabia with her father 25 years ago. She returned home five or six years ago to study to become a pharmacist at Bahauddin Zakariya University in Multan, they said.
Rabbani said he had been contacted by Pakistani intelligence as part of the investigation into the San Bernardino shooting.
The Pakistani officials said Malik had two brothers and two sisters and was related to Ahmed Ali Aulak, a former provincial minister.

One wonders what all skills, a talib who studies in these madarsas learns hain ji?
Specially a madarsa that has undergone a siege, must have instilled many 'skills' to its students to survive an onslaught, with home made material.
That lal masjid connection must have carried on to KSA with that girl.
If the guy went to KSA, there's a good chance he and the girl met some ISIS hot heads. It is possible there are training camps in KSA, like the ISI/LET camps in Pakistan, to train people for ISIS.
This was a match made in hell!
