what does it mean by "referred to joint House panel " does it mean act has gone to cold storage?
madhu ji,
It's a tactical move because of events in beediland
This is not the time to provide a rallying point for adharmic forces hyped up on the beedi model
The point to note is the the bill is already in the LS, and it can be slowed or speeded up as desired by the govt, even if referred to the joint panel
Don't be surprised if the bill takes about 6-8 months to traverse the system
In the meanwhile, the blood soaked hands of the "eyetaalian partie" in the making of this WTF act, in collaboration with the britshits even before 1947 can be slowly exposed by well timed statements in the parliament
Not only that, this bill will surely come up for judicial review later. So having a Parliament committee go through it in detail before passing the bill will prevent the courts from simply ruling as "not fully thought through, unconstitutional, etc.". The bill is solid on its merits except maybe a few things here and there (which too may have been added as a negotitation tactic and removed upon scrutiny), so as long as any future review focuses just on the merits, it should pass and come into force. The govt is playing the long game.
On a different tack, I don't know why no one challenged the original Waqf Act as unconstitutional - how can a law that allows almost unlimited powers to claim someone else's property be constitutional?
Bangladesh is an India locked country. The potential for pain is a two way street. Unless the dispensation in Bangladesh has lost its mind. India doesn't has a great deal to worry.
Second, this is not the end of the matter. Unless they are able to get a handle on internal matters. The economy will shutdown causing even more losses to Bangladesh.
We are in for some interesting times in Dhaka.
I am thinking about the return of massive general strikes of the 90s. That would shut down the country for weeks and months on end.
So sit tight, grab some popcorn and enjoy the show. While taking advantage of the chaos to build Indian textile industry.

Perhaps, such a challenge can still be made by people close to the government.
something big is being planned vis-a-vis Bharath: Election toolkits failed to deliver the coup de grace
1. BD coup just a starting point
2.https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/ne ... 416338.cms
3. Pukraine assault just before Modiji visit
4. Kamalamma's rebirth as the Defender of the downtrodden.
5. Global financial Index tagged to what US Fed would do with the interest rates
6. Deliberate attmepts to derail engine delivery for Tejas etc(I still believe this is deliberate rather than supply chain issues yada yada)
7. BIMSTEC would be effectively over given Joe-hadi take over of Beediland
8. Middle East Corridor a still birth with Gaza assault and no end to the fight there
The forces that can be mobilized by the Culinary institute in India, for a Bangladesh style revolution are:
1) Islam: this is the strongest card. Was tried in CAA but failed. Can be weaponized for Waqf and also if there is ever an NRC or deportation of illegal Bangladeshis
2) Khalistanis: tried but its too sectarian to succeed
3) Farmers: tried via the Khalistan axis but fizzled. But any missteps or perceived ill-treatment of farmers mean that the toolkit & BIF agents embedded in this ecosystem will be activated
4) Ambedkarism: to me, more than even the Muslims, this represents the most dangerous threat. There is a new religion in the making, with a new prophet & new Woke Book (with ideas freely imported from the US Critical Race Theory). So, even if Modi comes across as being anti-upper-caste (& some of that criticism is quite valid), the larger picture has to be kept in mind. This is why reservations, SC/ST act etc will not disappear for 50 more years at least. The reason this is more dangerous than Islam is that, with the latter, there will be a counter-mobilization, while with Ambedkarism, you have a fault-line within the Hindu community itself
5) Regional sectarianism: Dravidian movement, Christian separatism in the North East - these are old, well-understood enemies but don't have a national appeal
6) Maoism: on its last legs
7) Left-liberalism, "popular" NGO movements: like IAC, AAP etc - tried but failed
8 ) Religious Conversions: long-term, this has the biggest potential to Balkanize India
But its premature to declare victory against any of the individual vectors. The BIF forces have enough clout & money to keep the embers smoldering (like they are doing with Khalistan). And these forces are incestous, with resources being cross-deployable
USCIRF is a gasbag organization. Did anyone in India invite the Islamic hordes into the nation. What about the 6 month burning of Nalanda books, nothing, not a pipsqueak. Just looking at the author names, filled with Islamic ones - Sema Hasan, Asif Mahmood, Mohammad Elsanousi and the rest are Deep State names. Yeah, fair and unbiased dudes and dudettes who came up with crap for the US dept. What a joke of nonsense. We need to ignore such trash and say we don't care two hoots. Better still we need to publish hate speeches of Evangelists, Church preachers against heathen religions.
Ex-Army General JJ Singh (UPA appointee) reveals that then UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi tried to give Siachen glacier to Pakistan. Pressurized by the US-Pak lobby, she got then "Stronger" PM Manmohan Singh to almost sign the deal.
Ever since the election, opposition seems to be setting the agenda with BJP one step behind. I don't know if this is just a perception or the reality. I am very concerned about November 2024 assembly polls. If Haryana goes AAP or Congress, then Delhi is going to be runover for the coming years. This could even lead to the fall of the government. BJP needs to go back to the situation where AAP is eating into the Congress vote share, instead of working with each other. BJP needs to start planning for the next generation of leadership because I highly doubt it will manage to win under Modi due to a massive anti incumbency factor. I really hope I don't see Rahul become PM in my lifetime.

It is a racket being run by Abrahamic cultists to pass judgement on non-believers. Just ask these champions of religious freedom if they are wiling to delete verses from their holy books about slaughter of non-believers and cursing them to hell, and if they are willing to give equal "respect" to other faiths (as opposed to merely showing "tolerance" to them).
Here we go as expected classic diversionary tactics
Hinderberg hints SEBI
Now Kharge wants JPC
All this after SH directly accuses US for regime change and demand for St Martin Suzerainty for continuing in power.
And large scale attack on Hindus in BD!!
These are US tax payer money wasters in the US system. Vivek R has mentioned many depts in the US need to be shut down, they don't add any value. If you multiply average cost of 200 K per person per year in each of these depts then the bill to the US tax payer is huge running into several hundred billions. They are filled with idle gossip column jokers from NYT type media leftovers, jihadi types from several unsavory nations of the world, legal trained rubbish from US law schools and other useless dimwit citizens who can never be employed by private sector firms. All of US trash heap gets employed by various sundry depts in the US. The entire output amounts to a hill of beans. The US can outsource it to say India for 1/10000 of the costs and get more quality output than the drivel/rubbish produced by US citizens/residents. Many of them are infiltrated by the Deep State who set the direction of these depts (which is completely opposed to the politicos in charge).
CJI-led constitution 7-bench #SupremeCourt delivered a 6-1 verdict on Aug 1 on sub-classification of a “creamy layer” within SCs/STs that was patently unconstitutional & would drive an intra-Dalit wedge.
Good the govt has nixed the misconceived judgment 10 days later
^^
Based on the above, what is BJP doing. No sending back these excess CIA minions? BJP is too silent on many things, doing nothing to thwart such nefarious interference. Also the amount of China goods being imported into the nation is of massive concern. The baniyas are re-labelling them and marking up profits, selling to the hapless consumers. What kind of a joke is this. Nothing being done on that front either. The terrorists from Pukes infiltrating and killing Indian soldiers is happening. The bleeding is ongoing and nothing to send a firm message to stop such nonsense.
Too many inactions will bite the entire entity called Bharat. I remember PVN Rao saying that inaction is a decision! This is rather stupid and letting people take advantage. Come on, we can't have such blatant things being done towards Bharat and there is nothing, zilch, nada being done?
"Its my duty as LoP to bring to your notice that there's significant risk in Indian stock market because institution that govern stock market is compromised."
Who is he to decide if SEBI is compromised? Who is he to give character certificate to anyone incl. SEBI Chairperson? Someone tell him that he is JUST LoP who has no value. There are Investigating Agencies. There is Supreme Court which has the ULTIMATE POWER to decide upon innocence/guilt of any accused. Someone tell him that #HindenburgReport is not any authorised report which PROVES anyone's character.
@HMOIndia ,Can this be taken as an indirect effort to deliberately cause mayhem in Bharat's Economy to make it vulnerable to incite Civil Ri0ts later? Can we have thorough investigation into this person's alleged malafide foreign connections?
What gives? I thought this "creamy-layer" concept is a good thing to cut out those who have benefitted and their children were able to avail of better education. If the cut-off for the children is not acceptable (I also think that is a little too harsh), grandchildren should not be allowed to get reservations unless they are also economically backward.

where is garshitty mama these days, any news, koi ata pata, no dancing with bollywood stars, no chowing down Indian culinary tidbits and tasty specialities
has the sleazeball made any comments on the anti Hindu genocide like situation in beediland
or will someone write an updated version of "The Blood Telegram", where tricky dick and kissinger watched with baleful glee as an actual anti Hindu genocide was being carried out by the paki jernails and their mard soldiers, only this time with new actors and the jihadi jamaat, not forgetting to mention the "students"

Vayutuvan ji,
They want to enforce an economic criteria because almost all political parties don't want the creamy layer concept buggering up the drive for pushing their reservation agenda. It will cut deep into their pet vote banks by angering the dominant (aka creamy) ones who are influencers
In the end, the income based economic criteria will amount to the same thing by broad basing the benefits of reservation, and it will also broaden the scope to benefit some who are out of the reservation ecosystem now
there are a great many farmers who are crore patis but will insist on claiming reservation.
EWS or the economically weaker sections filter will include the poor among the forward castes too

But creamies don't meet the economic criteria -- by definition, they're above the economic threshold.
So economic criteria would exclude them. So I don't get your argument about not angering influencers, since exclusion would anger them.
Modi 3.0 has to bring in reforms that can impact common man's life every day
1. Bring urban administration accountability bill. Check this https://x.com/sudhirmehtapune/status/18 ... 2162462170 ... People will say its on states but bring an initiative like smart cities and measure the urban infra.

Economic criteria is a bad idea. Xians and Muslims will corner all the reservation benefits. Currently , these benefits are available only to Hindus (which is a big stumbling block for church in conversions). Economic criteria means extending reservation to Xians and Muslims too, when it is currently available to Hindus only

Alright, that's a fair point. Why not give business grants to disadvantaged caste groups? If business assistance is given, then it can help make more people self-sufficient. Something must be done to weaken/break the cycle of dependency-addiction on govt handouts. Otherwise, it's just a downward spiral, and a race to the bottom.
Also, economic proofs have been easy to fabricate. So many NCL-OBC and EWS certificate scams have been exposed in the recent outrage after Pooja. Very tough to implement when we have such a large population engaged in agriculture and unorganized sector. Only the organized sector salaried people are the ones, who can be effectively vetted for EWS. All others have access to loopholes if they are motivated enough.
Maybe with better online payments/ aadhaar tracking it becomes feasible in future, but right now it has so many loopholes
So no creamy-layer for SC/ST. Reservations stay as they are which means most of the 25% reservations are cornered by the creamy-layer.
1. As I understand it, there is a "creamy-layer" in OBC reservations. Has it worked?
2. If it did, why wouldn't it work in the case of SC/ST as well?
What I am proposing is that after first two generations, they are out unless they are poor. That should be easy to verify whether they are meet EWS cut-off threshold or not. The presumption is that these reservations are these folks who got educated would be working in salaried jobs. Their tax returns would be available which means they cannot produce false EWS certificates.

listen to vikas divyakirti explain how easy the loopholes are to exploit in case of OBC creamy layer. It is a matter of a simple gift deed, and you cross from CL to NonCL. EWS is way tougher to loophole out of. Same application to SC/ST will not change anything. It will mostly filter out those 1-2% with integrity to not exploit loopholes. That's about it.
so to answer #2, it worked poorly.
I favor bringing in a long term plan to gradually taper down all reservations at bachelor's education and beyond. Bring a clear plan of 1-2 decaded, and codify it through constitutional amendments + other laws/rules as applicable. Be done with this game of tweaking here and there, which increases corruption and divides the nation.

dimwit dynaasti attempted to spook Indian stock market investors yesterday, yet quietly pocketed a profit of ₹46.50 lakh from the same market in just five months.
While he fearmongers innocent investors, he's busy lining his own pockets.
This is how he pleases his master soreass, aiming to destabilize India from abroad.
shampoo boy is actually lamenting the fact that he did not get anything from the congress: no "आन बान शान और सन्मान"
Congress MP Shashi Tharoor says, "...If my state gets what Bihar got, we will be delighted. Rs 26,000 Crores have been allotted for highways in Bihar. This is nothing small. This is good for Biharis, I am delighted for them. But look at Karnataka, Congress government had demanded funds for highways and tunnels in Bengaluru, but they didn't get anything...So, people have a right to question...If the Minister thinks that this is just politics, then he didn't hear me...Three Congress CMs and a DMK CM have said that they won't come (to NITI Aayog) as there is nothing for them...So, I think it is their right. Why would they come if they don't want to waste their time..."
The Rg Kar rape and murder case and the subsequent cover up attempts are disgusting to say the least. There have been a spate of rape cases that have made news recently. Leaving politics aside for the moment, most of India has a serious problem with attitudes toward women in general.
Part of the reason is a huge amount of semi illiterate, semi skilled young men have been exposed to a media that completely objectifies women and glorifies that attitude. The other part is traditional attitudes in villages in the north coupled with a complete lack of s.x education.
We as a society really need to chat a different path on this aspect.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the national flag for the 11th consecutive time on the occasion of Independence Day. He paid floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat before inspecting the Guard of Honor at the Red Fort.
Every year, PM Modi's dress up is very special on the Independence Day celebrations, which was the case this time too. Today, Prime Minister Modi wore a white kurta and matching pyjama with a blue jacket which was paired with an orange and green safa. See the iconic turbans of PM Modi in the last 10 years.
