Canadian journalist Daniel Bordman on where Trudeau brought Canada: "...if there was like some cannibal in Liberia who went around murdering and eating gay people, but said my goal is to overthrow Western civilzation because of colonialism, he would have been welcome in Canada as a LGBTQ human rights activist.."

xpost in Terroistan dhahga too..

Major news… earlier this afternoon, Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, a Pakistani citizen residing in Canada, was extradited to the United States on charges of attempting to provide material support to ISIS and attempting to commit acts of terrorism.

In the fall of last year, Khan allegedly planned to travel from Canada to New York and carry out a mass shooting in support of ISIS at a Jewish Center in Brooklyn.

Khan allegedly planned his attack to occur on October 7, 2024 — the one year anniversary of the Hamas terrorist attack in Israel.

Thankfully, the great work of FBI teams and our partners exposed those plans and shut them down — and Khan was arrested by Canadian authorities on September 4, 2024.

He has now arrived in the U.S. and will face American justice.

This case is a reminder of the constant threat of terrorism facing every corner of the world — as well as the disturbing rise in threats against our Jewish communities. Your FBI will continue to be on guard and work around the clock to counter them.

AmberG Saar,
The worry is not so much as 'Taskent 2.0' but what public utterances the 'Blonde Bombshell' will come out with just before, during and immediately after the G7!!
Given that there are two further engagements with China : BRICS and SCO all depeends on what compromises POTUS has made in his negtiations with Dragon for a G2 world!!
Both would like to maintain the aura of sophisticated military toys but : given all that they do in real life is beat the crap out of countries with Gen 1.5 techs

Carney defends inviting India's Modi to G7 summit as Liberal MP calls it 'a bad idea'
:
:
B.C. MP Sukh Dhaliwal, meanwhile, told reporters he met with Carney early Wednesday to express what he says are constituents' frustrations with the decision to include Modi.

"The RCMP has clearly stated there's credible evidence Indian agents were involved in the assassination of a Canadian citizen on Canadian soil," Dhaliwal said of Nijjar. "It's a bad idea" to include Modi, he said.
:
:
Dhaliwal said Carney is "very strong" on the issue and will represent Sikh concerns about Indian interference and transnational crime when speaking to Modi.
:
:
Liberal MP Karina Gould, a past cabinet minister and leadership contender, said human rights should be on the agenda when Carney meets with Modi.

She also criticized the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who will not attend.

"I understand why they were invited. Part of diplomacy is having these conversations — you don't shut the door to them," Gould said. "But we're also standing up for values that are important to Canadians."

Why do I get the sense that the India China US relationship is like ghar ki murghi daal barabar. But when push comes to shove it's the Ghar ki murghi that one relies on.

Wouldn't be surprised to see some startegical type pappi jhappi around G7 or soon after. See Amber bahens post earlier.

China remains enemy no.1 for US and India (it is bahar ki murghi).

How does this square with what you posted earlier? viewtopic.php?p=2651753#p2651753

Let me think through. I came up with two alternatives.

1. Canadian conception of cooperation is "you give. we take".

or (inclusive)

2. There are at least two factions in the govt. - one wants to genuinely improve relations with Bharat and the other hates Modi and his admin, i.e. GoI itself.

I am sure MEA folks know who is who and will use the fault lines to Bharat's advantage.

I hope that the highlighted word will not get more and more used one day

I humbly request that you consider using alternate like khalislims in consideration of respect to the Sikh faith

But there is a resentment against some fanatics bearing other arms.

It is inevitable that this will become a public safety and security threat. White Canadians tell me this in private. You will never read about it in the press. It is never debated in the legislatures.

Same as in India.
