It's not surprising that asim munir issued a religiously-charged threat against Mukesh Ambani, signalling plans to target India’s economic core.

It starkly mirrors rahul gandhi’s sustained vilification of Ambani and Adani, and his amplification of foreign attacks like the hindenburg report, both despite having different motives, risk undermining India’s corporate champions, investor confidence, and growth engine.

Given the very hostile situation between USA and Pakistan army doing a nuclear blackmail in the USA, isn't it best time to resume nuclear testing or atleast testing of ICBM with MIRVs? One main threat of retaliatory sanction by USA could be denial of engine for Tejas. It could be a massive blow. But that will accelerate investment in engine development. What are other possible major sanctions by USA?

India Adds 4 New Chip Plants — INR 4,594 Cr Boost to Semiconductor Mission

India just made its biggest leap yet in the semiconductor race with the Union Cabinet approving four new specialized chip plants worth INR 4,594 crore. This isn’t just about adding volume — these new facilities fill critical gaps in the country’s chip ecosystem, covering cutting-edge materials, advanced packaging, and essential device components.

From Odisha’s first-ever Silicon Carbide plant powering next-gen electric vehicles and defence technologies, to a state-of-the-art 3D Glass Packaging unit revolutionizing semiconductor stacking for AI data centers and radar systems, the developments are truly game-changing. Punjab will see a dedicated MOSFET manufacturing plant that addresses key supply chain dependencies, while Andhra Pradesh will house an advanced System-in-Package facility enabling ultra-slim smartphones and high-performance computing devices.

With these projects joining six others already approved, India’s semiconductor journey is moving from aspiration to a full-fledged ecosystem, covering everything from raw materials to final packaging. Exports and electronics manufacturing have surged in recent years, and this marks one of the most significant moments in India’s push to become a global chip exporter.

Hosted by AIM TV’s Sudhi and featuring Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw’s announcement, this in-depth breakdown explains how strategic location choices, rapid clearances, and global partnerships are shaping India’s future in the trillion-dollar semiconductor market.

This should have been done long ago. All land resources are getting to be fully digitalized. This should make land registration more simpler. The babus/officials have resisted this since these depts are awash in corruption. The next step is to get babus/officials on a strict digital timeline with tools like BPM which track each process and have timers attached to each step.

Donald Trump may have called India a “dead economy,” but S&P Global just sent the opposite message — upgrading India’s sovereign credit rating from BBB− to BBB for the first time in nearly two decades. Modi Warns Of Conspiracy To Alter India’s Demography, Announces Mission To Protect National Security And Unity

https://indianexpress.com/article/india ... -10190607/

‘Deliberate conspiracy’: PM Modi warns of bid to change India’s demography, announces mission to deal with ‘challenge’

In his Independence Day speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hinted at a reduction in GST rates and announced a task force for next-generation reforms and a Sudarshan Chakra defence system.

Stating that the demography of the country was being changed as part of a “deliberate conspiracy”, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday announced that a high-powered mission would be set up to deal with the “challenge”.

Addressing the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort on the 79th Independence Day, Modi also announced setting up a task force for next-generation reforms, a ‘Diwali gift’ for the common man by bringing down the Goods, Services and Tax (GST) burden, the launch of a Sudarshan Chakra Mission and a ‘Suraksha Kavach’ or complete security cover for hospitals, railways, etc. through new technology platforms by 2035.

Highlighting the issue of illegal immigrants, Modi said, “Today, I wish to warn the nation of a grave concern and challenge. As part of a deliberate conspiracy, the demography of the country is being altered. Seeds of a new crisis are being sown. These infiltrators are snatching away the livelihoods of our youth. These infiltrators are targeting our sisters and daughters. This will not be tolerated. These infiltrators are misleading innocent tribals and seizing their lands. The nation will not endure this.”

“When demographic change occurs, particularly in border areas, it creates a crisis for national security. It threatens the unity, integrity, and progress of the country. It sows the seeds of social tension. No country can hand itself over to infiltrators. No nation in the world does so—how then can we allow India to do so?” Modi said.

“Our forefathers attained freedom through sacrifice; they gave us a free Bharat. It is our duty towards those great souls that we do not accept such acts within our nation. This will be their true tribute. Therefore, today from the ramparts of the Red Fort, I announce that we have decided to launch a high-power demography mission. Through this mission, the severe crisis now looming over India will be addressed in a deliberate and time-bound manner. We are moving forward in this direction,” Modi said in his 103-minute speech.

The Prime Minister’s remarks assume significance in the wake of the Election Commission’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar, a drive to remove ineligible voters, and the recent crackdown on illegal immigrants across several states.

To counter amriki tariffs and focus on internal consumption, rather than focus on exports like cheen

Massive GST reform, fiscal stimulus and consumption boost following Independence Day speech.

~99% of items in 12% tax slab to move to 5% slab
~90% of items in 28% bracket to shift to 18% slab
12% tax slab to be ended.
