I think this is appropriate thread. Prior to Putin & Trump meet, Dmitry Peskov chats about the impending meeting to reportor on plane.

Peskov revealed rare Russian praise for Trump’s “unconventional” approach to resolving the Ukraine conflict and confirmed key U.S. initiatives that set the meeting in motion. He also shed light on tense logistics, and a planned one-on-one conversation between the two leaders before a full delegation meeting.

This is a revealing YT by PGurus. It talks about Russian Oil imports and Gas imports worldwide. It turns out good ole China is #1 in most things and Turkey seems to buy a lot. But India was singled out by Deadnald Trumpf. Pathetic nonsense. Japan and EU imported gas, apparently gas is not under sanctions. Turkey a Nato member was not sanctioned for buying Russian oil. US could not add sanctions on China due to Russia oil/gas buying.

The only possible reason for the US wrath (and it is instigated by US deep state by persistently talking to DJT, make no mistake) is Operation Sindoor. This has the Deep State minions pissed to no end, how can India hammer their Munna & call of the Nuke bluff besides blindsiding China crappy maal at the same time. Deep State minions are heavily invested in China and hence the leniency for China, postponement, etc. And turkey is scott free since it is Nato brand. Hypocrisy at its worst. Logic out the window and of course a egomaniac like DJT. The US imports $3B of uranium from russia.

The US is the bully of the world pure and simple, no reason or fairness will work. And now they fund terroristan munna Pak. Let us see if Russia Ukraine war is settled. Then things will cool down a bit.

I think this thread is appropriate for the US Russia meeting. A settlement on this means the trade stuff will get sorted out for India.

US President Donald Trump hosts Russian President Vladimir Putin at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska. The high-stakes summit focuses on the Russia-Ukraine war, nuclear security, and global diplomacy. World leaders await key announcements and potential breakthroughs.

// they are getting down to business after the pleasantries and press briefing. Hope things are resolved and Ukraine is behind most of us in the world. I am sure the overall contours are settled, just a few small stuff that gets hashed out.

Note: Whatever happened to this rag? Anybody know? It's readership seems to have fallen off dramatically. I am not complaining, mind you. It was (probably still is) stridently anti-India which is so typical of the PRCA progressives.

Yep. Most were expecting at a minimum a pause/ceasefire in air attacks

This news is ‘EARTH-SHATTERING’: Sen Graham

Sens. Lindsey Graham and Tom Cotton assess the success of President Donald Trump’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on ‘Hannity.

The fun part is the comment section is full of comments against Sens. Lindsey Graham. These are the Republican crowd.

A should-read:
https://thomaszimmer.substack.com/p/wha ... d-for-whom
America has always been divided. We need to start here. This fundamental historical reality gets obscured by the fact that throughout its existence, the United States has conceived of itself as a democracy. And while that isn’t necessarily wrong, depending on the definition of “democracy,” it certainly obscures more than it illuminates about the reality of American life. It suggests a continuity of a democratic regime based on the American Constitution – when in fact the term has applied to a variety of social and political orders. Under the label “democracy,” these regimes differed widely in terms of who was actually enabled to participate in the political process as equals – and even more so with regards to whether or not they extended the democratic promise to other spheres of life beyond politics: to the workplace, the family, the public square. They often existed side by side for long stretches of the nation’s history, as manifestations of competing, even incompatible ideological visions.

A profound – and oftentimes violent – division over the very nature of what “America” is supposed to be has been the historical norm. Unfortunately, much of the mainstream political discourse is enchanted with a very different narrative that starts from the assertion of consensus and cohesion as the standard, treating conflict and strife as aberrations.
