Campuses will turn into suspicion zones and this is simply dystopian. There is no due process defined for Equity Squads but just vigilance.
This will open the doors for reverse harassment.
5. Under Clause 5(2), the Equal Opportunity Center created under this gazette will be engaging with NGOs, district administration, and police.
This opens a way for leftist-Ambedkarite NGOs and police machinery to campus.
It will create chaos and political circus to harass students and make their lives difficult.
Indian universities are meant to be self-regulating knowledge spaces, not extensions of district administration.
6. Most bizarre is the clause 11 which seeks to debar institutes from the UGC schemes and offering degree programs for non-compliance.
Minor procedural non-compliance can destroy institutions. No graded penalties, no proportionality doctrine.
India needs strong universities, not perpetually threatened ones.
Now, some will give arguments of the SC guidelines for this act. But, the legislation creation was solely under the ministry of education.
The SC did not give these definitions or clauses. It could have halted or drafted in another way. We have seen how the government fully complies with the SC guidelines!

Double standards of Sikh leadership are detrimental to reciprocal universality of Sikhi.
1. It should be made mandatory for all visitors of all Gurudwaras to cover their heads with cloth irrespective of their belief with strict prohibition on wearing of any kind of cap.
2. If Namaz can be allowed in Gurudwaras, why there is absolute restrictions on Pooja & Arti.
