Campuses will turn into suspicion zones and this is simply dystopian. There is no due process defined for Equity Squads but just vigilance.
This will open the doors for reverse harassment.
5. Under Clause 5(2), the Equal Opportunity Center created under this gazette will be engaging with NGOs, district administration, and police.
This opens a way for leftist-Ambedkarite NGOs and police machinery to campus.
It will create chaos and political circus to harass students and make their lives difficult.
Indian universities are meant to be self-regulating knowledge spaces, not extensions of district administration.
6. Most bizarre is the clause 11 which seeks to debar institutes from the UGC schemes and offering degree programs for non-compliance.
Minor procedural non-compliance can destroy institutions. No graded penalties, no proportionality doctrine.
India needs strong universities, not perpetually threatened ones.
Now, some will give arguments of the SC guidelines for this act. But, the legislation creation was solely under the ministry of education.
The SC did not give these definitions or clauses. It could have halted or drafted in another way. We have seen how the government fully complies with the SC guidelines!

All money donated towards M. T. was sent to the Vatican, hardly anything was spent on the poor in Kolkata. The entire operation was a hoax to garner the sympathy and money of the world. Upon on her death, not many in India mourned for her. But the international media went overboard and eventually the Vatican bestowed sainthood on M. T., I presume for the money raised for the Vatican.

In 2013, Owaisi had kicked up a political storm after he had said at a rally that though Muslims were 25 crores compared to the 100 crore Hindus, it would take "15 minutes without police" to show which community really had "guts and power."
He is reiterating the 15 minutes threat. The day when law applied on the basis of death threats and genocide calls are over. Today politics take center stage and such things are normalized as free speech since its a peaceful person and they have street veto to create law and order issues. So no politician including many BJP ones don't act against such scum. The latest threat call is said to be from Dhule, MH. Also the courts will let go stating the threat was not clear etc. He did not mention any community etc.
